From what I've heard, its just the sheer hype and excitement of having more malk dragons. I do have to agree though, to me it seems to be going overboard a bit.

When they grew into their chick stages, I saw three of them them to be pied imperial pigeon, passenger pigeon and rock dove. Haven't changed my guesses on the adults, they all still look like those to me.
For the other two, though, I'm unable to pinpoint a specific breed. They both look to me like they're domesticated pigeons, which technically makes them a subspecies of rock dove as well, but... wow, man, wish I knew more. A lot of breeds are distinguished by their body types and features much more than their plumage, and similar colourations show up in lots of breeds.
I like pigeons and all, but I'm much more familiar with wild species than I am with domestic breeds, aha.

Well then maybe it wouldn't be such a bad idea to just jump on the bandwagon and make some profit out of it.^^ But then again, I only have one of them and they really are pretty nice looking..

I have a double and I was thinking about auctioning it. I don’t want people to overpay because it would be unfair for them so I decided against it. Though I do want to shorten my wishlist, I don’t want to take advantage of the people who don’t know it won’t be worth as much as it seems

After looking in a catalog that sells farm birds and pigeons this is what I think
Jay frost probably made the one a rooster because of the domestic fan tail pigeon

As for the white and brown one it looks like either a special type of racing pigeon or a Birmingham roller
>racing pigeon

>Birmingham roller

These are just my guesses

Sure, I wouldn't want to do that either, but I'd say the people who participate in auctions are probably aware of a pets value, they're just willing to overpay. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Mostly agreed. Most people are aware, but some hust see others overpaying and assume that’s the real worth, so I’d just check with people that they know they’re overpaying before accepting.
