Charmander community day?? Yes please!! I am dying for a couple good charizards! And if it's anything like this last event, I should have enough for 5 or 6

I still dont understand how all of you manage to end up with hundreds of a specific pokemon on those days
even when I go outside during the community events, I don't end up spotting more than like 5 of that pokemon, let alone a shiny.

is anyone here valour? In my town+near city there's hardly anyone that's valour, and i find it usually the team with the least gyms anywhere i go. Is this the same for the rest of you? : //

Instinct is the least here.. Mystic dominates so it's hard to finish field research for the gym ones because probably 95% of gyms are blue

I go to a big city about an hour or 2 away.. Indianapolis which has a spot that is LOADED with pokestops and they all were lured up - at many pokestops there were 3 to 5 mareeps plus other Pokemon every time I walked by them - my city is decent in a couple spots but not like that one.. I never had gotten a shiny before but shinys were popping up everywhere for the event.. quite a few people got shiny dratini and magikarp too.. I walked for almost the entire event minus stopping a couple times to do raids and every now and then to catch pokemon

How many breakthroughs do you have to get to get a mew? I'm still looking for that elusive ditto myself.

Also, whats going on with the daily tasks and the 7 day rewards? I heard from a friend that the second 7 day reward is going to be a zapdos but instead I got another moltres.

You get an encounter with mew on the 7/8th thing. (the 8/8 is just a reward for catching mew)

I read that apparently the weekly reward Pokemon will rotate/change monthly.
Niantic said quests will have themes this month it is fire.
Maybe next month it moves onto zapdos or something alike. They couldn't keep it moltres forever!
i suspect that it might get onto other top raid reward pokemon, so to help the people who can't/don't raid get them.

good lord how do you have so many, I ahvent seen even one

Visited a park with about 11 pokestops in a short radius - lots and lots of lures is the key.
You won't find many if you only walk around and hope for good spawns.

Luckily there are many active players in my small town (even some from other towns visit that park ) so all stops are equipped with lures.

And then we just walk from stop to stop, catching them all.

Quoting this, because some of you haven't seen it.
Running around won't help on community days.

So I had an awesome day raiding yesterday! We had twice the amount of people as usual and hit 3 legendary raids (we can beat with 6 or 7 but when it's boosted it is close!) And we had 13 people last night..




Both legendaries caught on first throw! I didn't participate in the 3rd one and my poor husband has still not gotten a Latios
