"I mean, if you want you can just stay over tonight. Then we go over there tomorrow morning?" He picked up both of their plates and walked into the kitchen to wash them off.

"you really think that? if you decide not to be with me... one day you will find somebody else. then whoever that is will be your one." juno muttered the last part. "okay." he then said with a stronger voice. "what about you? what is your secret?" he asked as a smile made its way back to his lips.

"Again. You're my best friend. That won't change." Cliff came back and sat down "I have an older brother who betrayed his soul mate the same way I did you at first." he confessed. "He was a geologist, and his wife did work with him. He got murdered in some far off country because they weren't a match." he looked at Juno. "It's freaky. And im very scared of that."

junos brain started to process and suddenly a wave of sadness washed over his face. "you... are only trying this relationship so you won't get killed." he said softly. he thought it was because cliff liked him but he was wrong. "i'm actually busy tomorrow... lots of homework. tonight too." he said as he stood up. he felt bad for cliff, he really did. he wished he could make it better for him but...

Clifford realized he messed up again."Wait, Juno. That's not how I meant it." He frowned. "I was just thinking about the world we live in, how dumb it can be at times. I wasn't even thinking about us." He put his hand on Junos shoulder. "Please.., im doing this for you, I swear. If you really are busy, you can go. But if you're leaving because you think I don't really want to try..." Cliff pressed his nose and forehead to the back of Junos head gently, and out his other hand on his remaining shoulder.

junos eyes widened. his breathing seemed to almost stop. damn, he really was in love. the feeling of cliffs hand and face seemed to radiate through his entire body. he reached up and put his hand ontop of cliffs that was ontop of his own shoulder. he slowly turned around, still holding the other hand. with his other hand he reached forward and hesitantly cupped cliffs cheek. "i'm terrified." he said with a shaky voice. "i can't tell if you being my soulmate is the best thing to happen to me because i'll get to be with you or the worst becuase i'll end up loosing you." tears were falling now. "i'm more scared that you'll never love me the way i love you than i am scared about death. honestly that sounds like a piece of cake compared to this."

He gently reached up, and wiped every year that fell. He stayed very quiet, watching as Juno cried. Once the flow calmed down a bit, he pulled Juno closer into a hug. "Don't talk like that, okay?" it was more of a request than a question, "I don't wanna lose you. You're my best friend, and it'll always stay that way..." He squeezed a little harder. ... Even if I fall in love. You'll be my boyfriend and my best friend, how it should be."

juno rested his head on cliffs shoulder, his hands clenched in cliffs shirt. "gosh cliff.. you are... so amazing. i don't know how i got you as a soulmate." he said, his head still on the others shoulder as he chuckled. "you.. swear? that you... won't leave?" he said and tried to push against cliff more. he wanted to stay like this forever. everytime he touched cliff he felt all his problems drip away.
