Jason looked at her sadly, "that's not true, you parents may not love you but that doesn't mean no one else does." He said softly, wishing he could say and do more to comfort her.

Zander nodded and smiled slightly. She said,"You may be right." she was now soaked from the falling rain. She sighed and sneezed again. Then she shook her head and said,"I...should go back to sleep...." and frowned again not wanting to be greeted by another bad dream. But she stood up and looked away from Jason. Then she turned and took one step away. She thought, it's going to be alright. He's right. Someone somewhere will love me like my parents failed to do. She sighed and took another step.

Jason stood and shook his head, spraying water. He looked after Zander and took a step after her, "hold on, you're all wet. You wanna dry off by the fire?" He asked softly.

Zander stopped and then said,"Sure. Thank's." she turned around and went toward the fire slightly shivering. She lightly smiled as she sat down near it happy for it's warmth.

Kensley was walking around the "camp" as he was guarding. Nothing and no one, he thought coldly. Though he almost wished there would be trubble. Then he could take his anger out on someone. But still nothing and no one as he walked around once more still in the rain.

Jason smiled and sat down by the fire with her, he shifted some logs with a stick to keep them burning. He warmed his hands by the fire and let out a content sigh.

Kensley then hurd a stick brake behind him. He stopped and turned around quickly. There was a bear. He gasp and then the frown on his face fadded to a smile. He ripped out his knife and shot off the sheath. Then he tossed it from hand to hand as he called,"Come on bear! Bring it on!" and it ran at him. He paniced for a second and then jumped out of the way. The bear turned and swipped a paw at him as he stood up. Kensley laughed,"Miss me miss me now you gata kiss me!" and slashed at the bear with his knife hitting its skin, but not a fateal blow. He thought, Finally some fun! As the storm raged on around him and lightning only lit up the apponent for seconds at a time.

Zander turned quickly and saw Kensley with a bear. She stammered,"Ahh Jason....Kensley's fighting a bear!" and jumped to her feet. Maybe she could help? Maybe a distraction!?

Jason gasped and leaped to his feet, he whipped his sharp golden dagger from his belt and raced to help Kensley, without a word he jumped in and while the bear was distracted with Kensley he slashed his dagger right in it's shoulder. The bear let out a furious howl and shook Jason off.

Tessa jumped out of her bed as she heard a bears roar.

Kensley said,"Hey there Jason!" and jumped at the bear. But it had recovered quickly and slashed Kensley's leg. He fell to the ground and said,"Sh**! Why you little!" and stood back up with the help from a tree. The bear was trying to stay with both of them but slashed again at Kensley. Kensley stabbed it's paw and jumped at it gripping it's neck into his arms. He tightened his grip and didn't let go as it stood to its full hight and tryed swinging him off. Kensley called,"Jason! Stab its heart!" and tightened his grip more so it was chokeing.

Zander gasped and ran over. She jumped up and down waveing her hands in the air trying to distract it. She snapped,"Come over here you big wuss!" and threw a rock at it.

Jason narrowed his eyes, his gaze cold and stony. He took the chance, lunging foward he stabbed the beast straight through it's hard with his dagger. He did it with such ferocity to protect the others he found himself a little scared himself.

Tessa ran out of her tent and came to the scene just in time to see herbrother stab the bear coldly. She found tears in her eyes as she saw the beast die, she shuddered and realized how much her brother seemed like her father. She stood their silently in the rain, just watching as small tears ran down her face.

The bear fell backwards on top of Kensley. He moaned in pain and agony from his leg wound. But he felt his old high comeing on and he sort of didn't want the pain to go away. He shoved up on the bear trying to get it off of him. He called,"Now we should have plenty to eat!" in a laughing tone through grined teeth. Zander ran up to the bear and pulled it half way off of Kensley. She asked,"Are you hurt?" and nelt down by him as he grabbed his leg. It was slashed open a bit but it should heal in a week or so. He said,"Im fine. Just need a nap." and sat up still gripping his bleeding leg.
