Malia kept her head down, ashamed. Hutch patted her shoulder and said that he needed to go, but he'd be back to check on them.
Proctor Eleven lied on the floor, blood pooling around him. She hadn't wanted to be the one to move him.
"I'm sorry," she whispered. "It's my fault Troy's been shot." She kept her eyes focused on the floor, her head bowed.
OOC: So, Troy's in another room having surgery done to remove the bullet, and everyone else is in the main room, waiting. No one would be allowed in the room Troy's in, so they're stuck in the main room....

Malia tensed up a bit when Jake sat beside her.
"It's my fault Proctor Eleven was here in the first place. And now he wanted to kill me, and everything happen so fast, and now Troy's been shot and I wasn't able to stop it from happening."
Malia rested her elbows on her knees and put her head in her hands. "It's my fault. Everyone keeps on getting shot." First her mother and sister, and now Troy. Everyone she cared about was getting shot, and she couldn't do anything about it.
"I'm sorry," she whispered.
They could hate her if they wanted. She deserved it. She hated herself for not being able to save him from getting shot. It should've been her who had gotten shot, not Troy.

Malia flinched when Jake put his hand on her shoulder, but didn't move away. She didn't believe that it wasn't her fault.
A nurse entered the room. She was one of the nurses who was with Troy. Malia jumped up, expecting the worse, but hoping for the best. "What happened? Is he alright?" She rushed over her words, desperate for an answer. The nurse walked over to her, holding bandages. "Troy's fine. He's recovering from surgery now," the nurse told her.
"Is he awake?" Malia asked her.
The nurse bent down to take a look at her injured ankle. "No, he's still unconscious. We'll be moving him back here in a moment to clear up the room. Let's take a look at your ankle."
Malia sat back down. The nurse removed the dirty bandages, put on ointment, and wrapped it in clean bandages. "It's healing well. You should be able to walk without the staff soon."
"Will he be alright?"Malia asked her, worried.
"He'll be fine," the nurse reassured her, standing up and leaving to check on another patient. "Now, can someone move the body? It's freaking everyone out," the nurse said.
Malia stood up again. Looks like she'd be doing it after all. She should be the one to do it anyways. It was her fault that there was one in the first place. She limped over to the body of Proctor Eleven, then paused. She wouldn't have been able to move him when she wasn't injured, let alone when she had an injury.

Jake and Jeremiah were beyond relieved, they believed that Troy was going to be okay but as soon as the nurse told them, it made it real.
Jake looked over ag Malia and then the body. There was no way she could move him on her own, heck, he didn't know if he could move him on his own. "Here, I'll help." He said, getting up and walking over to the body before grabbing him by the arm.

Malia limped to his other side and grabbed him by his arm. She left her staff by the bed, as there was no way she could use it for walking when she would be carrying the body. She pulled Proctor Eleven's body outside of the medical center with Jake. She kept on tripping, nearly falling. But she continued pulling the body without stopping. It was heavy.
She left the body outside of the medical center. Someone else could deal with it.
She reentered the medical center to see a nurse wheeling Troy in. Malia limped quickly to him as the nurse put his bed in position. Troy was hooked up to tubes, which were connected to drips and machines. Chocking back a cry, Malia stood by his side, guilt flooding over her. Troy got shot because of her.
"Troy," she whispered.

Jake walked back in and made his way to Troy's side, he put his hands in his pockets as Jeremiah too made his way over. "He looks so peaceful." Jake noted, he was used to seeing his brother out risking his life or working, he'd never really seen him relaxing or at ease.
He looked over at Malia and sighed. "I still don't think it's your fault."
