I grew up with rodents and now I want to get a hedgehog to try something new but still have a question, is it a good idea to feed a hedgehog wet cat food? I read some things online but one of them said yes it is but another one said it's not, and since I have a lot of cat food it would save some money to give the hedgehog that but I don't want to make it sick or anything

you can only feed it to them for an occasional treat, their main diet should be dry cat food and a few insects

Yep ^^ They can be a good treat, but not good as their main diet.
Thea actually hates wet cat food. She much prefers single ingredient baby foods like the gerber 2nd foods turkey or chicken, or things like carrots or sweet potatoes!

speaking of food, my gatsby is the pickiest eater, won’t eat anything except his kibble and mealworms. i’ve introduced a variety of fruits, veggies, and insects but he turns down everything. the only way i could get him to eat new stuff if it’s in his food bowl. he’s the equivalent to having a toddler it seems like

You guys are so lucky to have cute wee hedgies, the only hedgehogs we have here on NZ are big warty ones lol.
You can keep one as a pet without a permit but they're really not as cute as the Europeon hedgehogs. They have very tiny eyes ha ha
