~From the Ruins~ (LeafClan warriors rp. Needs members!)

Riverflash watched her eat and fall asleep. She sat down and began to lick her paws. Will she be fine? What if I get thrown out of the clan? tears began to flow down her face but then she dried them off and lay down out side the den and closed her eyes.

"I'll carry her" Marshpaw said, breaking his silence though his head was still bowed to look at his split pads. he closed his eyes for a breif moment and gingerly set his paw down a shock of pain raced up his leg when he put pressure on the mutilated pad but he held down the yowl that threatened to break forth and turned to look at Sunpaw who was slumped across Silversong's back. a lump formed in his throat that made it hard to push his words past, she's hardly breathing he thought her heart isn't strong enough for that kind of run. "I'll carry Sunpaw back to camp" he said again, incase the other cats hadn't heard his first wispered words. it wasn't that he felt obligated to, but more he needed to his blue eyes slid over to the bloody paw print he had left on Sunpaw's golden fur when he touched her. He instantly felt the same feeling he had when his mother left the clan, responsibility, it was his fault his mother left and he should have stopped Sunpaw from doing a mousebrained thing like running it away, I should have, but I didn't what if it had been Frostpaw? he thought. What if it had been his sister to take the badger on her own trail, could he have stopped her? could he have stopped his mother?

Frostpaw stood beside Hollyfur, she felt completely helpless she was no medicine cat and she certinly didn't have the strength to carry Sunpaw back to camp. she shifted her feet uncomfortably when Marshpaw finally spoke up, she knew he was thinking what she was thinking but she dared not broach such a sensitive subject. She knew he brother blamed himself for their mother Birchwing, leaving after thier father died from greencough, and Marshpaw contracted whitecough she became jittery and frightend she would lose her kit the same as her tom. Birchwing left in the dark of night, and the next morning both she and Marshpaw were missing. dawn patrol had found her brother near death from exhaustion, aparently he saw his mother leave and followed her when she started running he did too but he wasn't fast enough to keep up with the queen and the young grey tabby kit had stumbled through the forest in the dark helplessly running to find his mother. Frostpaw looked down at her paw she knew thats what Marshpaw was thinking now, she knew he had to make sure Sunpaw would be okay. It was Marshpaw's way of making up for never catching Birchfall when she left them.

Crowflight sighed with relief as she whatched Silversong and Foxpaw carry Sunpaw away. She itched to go with them and stay with Sunpaw but she knew that Sunpaw was safe. Crowflight wearily walked over to where the badger was still lieing on the ground, unconcious, after makeing sure that the badger was in fact, still unconcious, she went to sit on a rock, close enough that she could see it, but she would have plenty of time to react if it woke up and tried to attack her. She waited for the other warriors and PepperStar, she had stopped the badger from killing Sunpaw, she didn't need to kill it, she thought it might be usufull to LeafClan anyways, two badger sighting in only a couple of days, it had to be a sign, one killing BrightStar, and the other almost killing Sunpaw and...Hollyfur!

Hollyfur was oblivious to everything, everything but the pain. She didn't know if she was dead or not, or if she was still in the clearing, she couldn't even open her eyes without shrieking in agony, all she wanted was to excape the pain, no matter the cost. She couldn't get the image of the badger falling on her out of her head, how trapped she felt, like she was slowly suffocateing by a wall of fur. StarClan help me! She silently shrieked, I dont want to die!

Wolffang, running to where he had last seen the badger, found Hollyfur alone. "Hollyfur! What happened?" He meowed, running over to the warrior. She didn't look good, shock at least, but how was he supposed to know how bad it was? He wasn't a medicine cat. "We have to get you back to camp. Where did the others go?" He looked around, suprised no-one was with her.

Silversong looked at the apprentice and automatically nodded and knelt down. "She's not heavy, but I can't balance her, my shoulders aren't as broad as yours." She meowed, setting Sunpaw on Marshpaw's back. "Can you handle her? I can take her back if you want." She felt Sunpaw's heartbeat again. It wasn't built for that much running, much more and she would have had a heart attack. What if she did? Silversong shook the thought away. Her heartbeat was too fast, and not as strong as it should be, but she knew Sunpaw wouldn't go down without a fight, and even as small as she was, the apprentice was still fighting her own battle. "Hold on Sunpaw, come on." She whispered before raising her voice. "We need to get her home, now. She's fighting, but still getting weaker by the minute."

Hollyfur sensed someone trying to talk to her but she couldn't hear them, she didn't even know who it was. Another wave of pain ran up her body and she wailed in agony. Rolling to her side, the long gash on her side was finally visable, when the badger had falled on her, is had sratched her and she was left with a deep gash from her neck to the beginning of her tail.
