[Noctali]

Shadowscar stood there, struck by the gory image of this cat that stood before her; she could barely make it out as Valorsoul. "Val... Valorsoul? What happened? Where's Ashice?" A million questions began to flood through her mind, most mainly about Ashice. Without waiting for a reply, she had ran to the back of the den, grabbing as many cobwebs as she could, and stood before the Tom, wrapping a few around his bleeding injuries.

Valorsoul took a few moments to catch his breath as Shadowscar wrapped cobwebs around him, "H-he's hurt badly. We were out hunting, and I lost him along the way...I'm such a mouse-brain! Letting myself lose him that easily! The last I remember is he was chasing after a pheasant to give to some of the cats that needed it most, a-and I remember hearing a loud yowl. I knew it was Ashice, and...and when I finally found him, he was almost soaked in blood with the fox about to finish him...I managed to chase him off, but Ashice is still lying there. I-I had to come find more Warriors to come help him!" he explained as panic and fear gripped him tightly and slurred some of his words.

[Noctali]

Shadowscar had finished wrapping up the wounds of Valorsoul, shaking with each step. "N-no... I'll find him then. It sh-shouldn't be that hard with the scent of blood in the air." She struggled to go towards the back of the den to grab some cobwebs, but she was determined to save the Tom's life. Quickly, Shadowscar dashed past Valorsoul and out into the woods, cobwebs filling her mouth as she followed the unmistakable scent of the Tom's blood.

Shadowscar began panting as she arrived upon the strongest scent of the blood, looking down at the scarlet-stained dead grass to find Ashice laying there. "Ash... Ashice? Are you alive?" Even though she had begun wrapping up the Tom with cobwebs and licking his wounds ferociously, she wanted to know if the Tom was yet living.

The Tom laid still for a moment, but when he felt the furious, raspy licks, he groaned, but kept his eyes shut, for fear of blood trickling in and blinding his vision, "S-s-sha..dowscar?" he rasped and fidgeted as a wave of intense pain rippled over him.

[Noctali]

Shadowscar sighed in relief to hear the Tom's deep voice, but continued to rasp her tongue around the wounds, only stopping once the taste of blood filled her mouth and his pelt was clean besides the fresh blood that continued to replace the old. "Ashice, you're going to be alright..." Was all she said as she began to heavily wrap the cobwebs around the Tom's body, fear-stricken by the fact that she could have told him a lie.

Ashice soon began to regain his senses and slitted open his eyes, showing that his once vibrant Valkyrie eyes were now clouded with confusion and pain, "W-where...where is..Valorsoul?" he asked hoarsely, not knowing what had happened to him when he had finally found him with the fox.

[Noctali]

Shadowscar held back from answering until she had finished wrapping up the last of his wounds, tears stinging her eyes. "Your brother ran to me and said you were in a horrible condition. He's... He is fine." She laid down next to the Tom, feeling horrible about the fox accident. Why couldn't it have been someone else?

[saige.]

Ashice smiled and closed his eyes, "That's....good..." he croaked before slitting open his eyes again to look up at Shadowscar, "Wanna...know why....that fox...attacked..me?" he asked, using his tail to flicker over towards a rare, but real, plump rabbit that lay dead nearby, "It...wanted....that..."

[Noctali]

Shadowscar looked over at the large rabbit in awe before walking over to it and dragging it to the Tom with her unsheathed paw. "I bet you that the rabbit was from a twoleg nest," she mewed, a little off-topic. "Well, at least the fox is gone now. That's the least of our troubles." Shadowscar sighed before licking her paw, removing some of the collected blood that was from the pooled liquid around Ashice.

Ashice looked up at the rabbit, his eyes slightly brimming in pride, not hunger. He shrugged and looked over at Shadowscar, "I...caught that....for you and....Sablepaw..." he croaked, taking a sharp breath between each pause, "You two....have been...working so...hard....you guys...need...it most..."
