APPLICATON
What date did you register as a CS member?: I registered 04 May, 2009 about 2 years ago.
How many posts have you made in the forum (at the time of applying): I have made 7590 posts in the forum since I registered.
Without posting your actual age, are you old enough to apply for this position?: Yes, I am old enough and mature enough to undertake this position
How many days a week do you usually visit CS? Usually every day.
How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit? about 2-3 hours, I'm a slight addict. :)
Have you moderated on any other forums before? I have in 3 Cases:
viewtopic.php?f=58&t=440147
viewtopic.php?f=58&t=465409
http://theforestiswild.freeforums.org/
Have you participated in many roleplays outside of CS before? No, I haven't I prefer to keep all my activities inside CS.
Have you participated in many roleplays on CS before? Not many.
Why do you want to be a roleplay moderator for CS? Why? Well to be quite honest, there are multiple reasons why I would love to be Roleplay Moderator;
1. I would love to give back something the ChickenSmoothie Site, as everyone here has done so much for me. This would be a perfect way to help the site.
2. I think I'm mature and responsible enough to handle some of the stressful situations that I may encounter as a Roleplay Moderator. I understand there may be racism, homophobia, and other discrimination, violence and inappropriate sexual content and I feel I will be able to handle is in a calm way, and will take action.
3. I feel its bad when people think they can break the rules and won get caught, because frankly they will and I wont tolerate bad behaviour like that. I would like to stop all the fighting and arguments that happen in Roleplays, as it causes distress to players and I would hate it if nobody took action to stop it.
4. I have made quite a few friends through Roleplay, and I would like to make it a better place and maintain the friendly environment, so others can make friends and be happy on the site.
5. I want to reduce the art theft that takes place on CS, It angers me to see when people role play with other peoples characters, so I would like to reduce this as it causes anger and distress and I don't want it to be a negative environment here on CS
Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position? Yes, I am Fair and Firm and Won't tolerate bad behaviour or discrimination, but I will listen to others points of views. I have had many Roleplays in the past, and most were sucessful.

Thank-you so much for giving us this oppourtunity, I hope I will be able to help enforce the rules that have been set (:

What date did you register as a CS member?: (if it's less than 6 months ago, do not apply): 28 July, 2009, I think.
How many posts have you made in the forum (at the time of applying): (if it's less than 300, do not apply) 1327
Without posting your actual age, are you old enough to apply for this position?: (Do NOT apply if you are 15 or younger, no excuses.): Yes, definitely.
How many days a week do you usually visit CS? Every day.
How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit? At least three, at most seven or eight.
Have you moderated on any other forums before? If so, please link to them: None that are still active, sadly, but I used to moderate quite a few roleplay forums.
Have you participated in many roleplays outside of CS before? If there's any places in particular, please link to them. Yes: On Chatzy (several places) and on Proboards, my most active right now being Val amongst others.
Have you participated in many roleplays on CS before? A couple, but I only discovered the forums properly late last year.
Why do you want to be a roleplay moderator for CS? I love roleplaying. I think that it strengthens a writer and is an excellent release for pent-up feelings that people can't otherwise express. However, if people don't understand it, or use it in the wrong way, it can be harmful to them and to people who read it. I want to keep rp on CS clean and in the true spirit of the thing, so people can enjoy it without any violence or dirtiness to ruin something which can be very special and fun.
Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position (this is not required) (for example have you run your own roleplay website before, or have you had any experience in peer mediation?): My grammar, while perhaps not perfect, is very good. I am sensible and have clear understanding of the boundaries on roleplaying. I've roleplayed for about six years, and have run a roleplay site as well as being senior staff or a moderator on several. I'm rational, helpful, but I can be firm as well, and I love to write and interact.

What date did you register as a CS member?:
uhhum. I'm not really sure. But I think I've been here for about a year or so. :o

How many posts have you made in the forum (at the time of applying):
I'm afraid to say on this account i have about... five? But on my other account (which was lost) had about 6000 something.

Without posting your actual age, are you old enough to apply for this position?:
Yes.

How many days a week do you usually visit CS?
Everyday. So, seven. It's kinda a obsession. p:

How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit?:
i actually can stay on ALL DAY if I wanted to. And do a lot. c: But most of the time I stay on for a about ten to twelve hours.

Have you moderated on any other forums before? If so, please link to them:
actually, yes. Just one though.
Zarn island.

Have you participated in many roleplays outside of CS before? If there's any places in particular, please link to them:
It's pretty hard to link them, due to there are so MANY. xD But I've roleplaying mostly on Proboards websites, and Zarn Island.

Have you participated in many roleplays on CS before?:
On my other lost account, yes. And I plan to do many more. (i'm an advanced role player :>)

Why do you want to be a roleplay moderator for CS?
I think that I would be helpful around CS, not to mention my love for CS, even being my age. The members and staff are so welcoming, or nice. It's amazing, surprising. I'm a pretty friendly person, and try to be nice when telling someone what's right and wrong; or if spotting something that doesn't fit, or breaks the rules. I've had quite a lot of experience with role playing, and know how to place my words, and use Grammar correctly while roleplaying. Usually, my samples and posts are long and devoted. c: I'm quite a people's person, too, and know how to handle situations well - along with personal questions regarding anything role play. :x I'm an experienced staffer as well. I wouldn't hassle to help other built their skills and answer their questions. even if I have to let someone down and tell them, or censor something, what is right and not to do such a thing because it's rule breaking, then I'll do it without hesitation. Even if it sounds cruel or rude, we're always trying to help, not the other way around. I hope others see, around the serious posts, that our staff is just as welcoming and friendly as it can be. c:

Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position:
um. I've ran many proboarded role play sites, never a big one, though, like CS. c: As for experience wise, I can bring in many things, such as my niceness, staff experience, role play experience and all that jazz. You know, loves.

thanks. <3

1. What date did you register as a CS member?:
June 01, 2010

2. How many posts have you made in the forum (at the time of applying):
978

3. Without posting your actual age, are you old enough to apply for this position?:
Yes'm! Early 20's.

4. How many days a week do you usually visit CS?
Six-Seven.

5. How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit?
This depends on what I need to do on any given day. If there are no PMs, forum messages, or people to talk to, I might only spend 15mins-one hour. If there's /much/ to be done or something interesting to look at, I spend a shameful amount of time lurking around. I check in randomly throughout the day, and then have a good, solid 8-14 hours online during prime CS hours that I would be able to spend.

6. Have you moderated on any other forums before? If so, please link to them.
If we are speaking in terms of CS forums, I have not had the chance to moderate before. I would, however, enjoy the opportunity in the future!

7. Have you participated in many roleplays outside of CS before? If there's any places in particular, please link to them.
Several! I've played on at least two dozen sites in the past 8 years that I have been roleplaying. I ran a roleplay site for almost a year before the Avidgamers server crashed a while back. I am a past moderator and layout designer at Whazzit Weyr-d on Avidgamers and Acornrack (it has since moved to Invisionfree). Currently, I am an Area Admin (as well as one of the leaders) of a successful, friendly roleplay area on PernWorld MUSH, a MU*-based RP site. You can't see the forums on there unless you have a MUSH client, but I've linked an RP example HERE for your convenience, in case you were looking for ability/experience. My character is the one called S'gam.

8. Have you participated in many roleplays on CS before?
I haven't participated, no, but I've read quite a few boards, and have plenty of experience elsewhere that I think can carry over to CS's roleplay boards.

9. Why do you want to be a roleplay moderator for CS?
I'm a good mediator, and know a variety of ways to let a person know, very firmly, that something is /not/ acceptable without completely damaging their self-esteem in the meantime. I know the difference between acceptable and unacceptable levels of violence/romantic behavior, and I have enforced these things many times before. I will not hesitate to uphold CS's integrity, making it a safe place for people of all ages, while at the same time treating everyone fairly and justly. I don't know everyone on the roleplay boards, which is actually an advantage in my mind - I will not be tempted to show bias towards my 'friends', letting their errant behaviors slide while chiding others; I can and will be fair and just. In sum, I have /much/ to bring to the table and I feel I can be a great asset to the roleplay-moderating team, as well as to CS at large, and that's why I want to be a roleplay moderator for CS.

10. Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position (this is not required) (for example have you run your own roleplay website before, or have you had any experience in peer mediation?)
As previously mentioned, I have had past experience in peer mediation, moderating in general, and running my own roleplay website. I'm tactful enough to to reprimand someone without making them want to quit CS entirely, friendly enough to be likable, and stern enough to get a point across when I want to make it. I'm often online, always accessible, and I don't mind at all when people send me PMs or other messages in order to ask me questions or send me comments. I've set up a roleplay website from scratch in years previous, ran a website when the owner left and entrusted it to me, and have designed layouts and skins for many others in the past several years. If you would like me to go into more detail on any of these topics, or anything else I have mentioned, please let me know! I will be more than willing to expound on any details.

Thank you for your consideration and have a great day!

What date did you register as a CS member?: Oh man.... November 1st 2008

How many posts have you made in the forum (at the time of applying): 1204

Without posting your actual age, are you old enough to apply for this position?: Yes

How many days a week do you usually visit CS? Seven days a week.

How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit? I pop in for about a half hour at a time, but usually get on about 3-5 times a day between school and home.

Have you moderated on any other forums before? The sites are gone now, but I've been an admin on a wolf roleplaying site, and Senior Member/Moderator for about a year on a Warrior Clans website.

Have you participated in many roleplays outside of CS before? Yes. Most are inactive/gone, the most recent is here: boop. but it recently went inactive. I've been roleplaying for about four or five years. I started off with Warriors roleplays then moved on to human roleplays and more advanced animal roleplays. I'm a literate RPer and do my best to write creative, interesting posts. I've been a roleplayer on sites of all maturity levels from G to R ratings.

Have you participated in many roleplays on CS before? Oh yes. At first I stuck with Warriors RPs but now I'm usually in a few at a time, all of which are semi-lit to literate.

Why do you want to be a roleplay moderator for CS?: I don't have problems telling people what is wrong and I can leaf through topics quickly and effectively, pick through posts, and find arguable content. Some roleplayers try to keep their romance/explicit content so that it is subliminal and not easy to find, but I've been around roleplayers like that for a few years now and I'm pretty good at finding "hidden" content. I'm also very aware of copyright and bandwidth restrictions of photographs/artwork etc and as an artist I understand how annoying it can be to have your art used for roleplay characters and I've seen quite a few artists specifically say they're art is not to be used that way, yet people still take it. On a horse sim game I'm a member of, photographs and picture usage are extremely strict so I know the proper way to credit/use artwork and photos.

Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position: I've had brief runs creating my own roleplay sites, I know how to create websites whether it be forum based or not. I was a peer-mediator in 5th and 6th grade (awhile ago yes, but hey!). I consider myself to be fair when making decisions and using the proper amount of scolding. I don't like making people mad at me, so I try and make sure they understand that what they have done is wrong, why they are being punished/reprimanded and how they can prevent it in the future. That being said, I don't go easy on users who abuse the rules, I just deal with them fairly and do my best to avoid turning it into a personal conflict.
