Walking in the house you see your parents on the couch, they have slightly sad expressions and worried you walk over. "sit down" your mum whispers before you can say anything. You perch on the edge of the couch and cross your legs. "_______ you're mother and I have decided to send you away." your father starts and your mother nods. "to an island, there will be other teenagers there like you" he carries on and you raise an eyebrow. "like me?" you ask leaning forwards. "yes, other normal teenagers. It's only for a year..." you shut your eyes and then open them and interrupt your mother who had taken over "a year?" you shout. "yes" you dad snaps gripping his wife's hand. "yes, a year. And... there is a small school, but you don't have to attend everyday and there'll be boys and girls and a fitness center and all of that" your mother carries on tears now misting her eyes but not falling. "You're sending me away for a year, to be with people I don't know and to a place god knows where?" you ask quietly, your voice is dripping with anger and your father glares at you. "yes, you leave tonight" he says stroking your mum's hair. "tonight! wth!" you scream. Tears pour down your mother's face and you dad stands up. "go to your room, pack and then wait until I come and get you!" he roars adn you run off and stamp up the stairs. You angrily grab a bag from the cupboard and then in your room randomly chuck clothes and shoes in. Make-up, toiletries, deodorant, vans, jeans, stationary, iPod, gameboy, PSP and other stuff. You zip it up having to sit on it to close it and then look out the window and wait.

7 hours later you step of the seaplane onto the soft white sand. Holding your case you look around at the island. All you can see is beach and green forest and blue sea. 5 hours ago your dad had come up to your room and you had followed him down stairs and silently onto the lawn. Your face hadn't changed when you saw the helicopter on your grass or when you said goodbye to your crying mum and still angry dad. It stayed stony when the helicopter landed on the tarmac of an airport and you were escorted onto a plane. You saw other chairs with heads in them but none of them were facing you. The whole ride they stayed that way and you just looked out the window. Not even a look of awe passed over your face when you stepped onto the hot rocky floor of an island and you all filed onto the seaplane keeping your heads down. Now you all looked up around and all the faces had the same expression; annoyed, angry, confused, upset. Mirroring how you felt. Following the same man who had been with you all the way you were led to golf buggys. In a line they drove across the sand and round to the other side of the island. 20 huts out to sea come in to view with a pier leading up to them. You all get off the buggys and walk up the pier to the end of the wooden structure where a bigger hut is. "this is the main hut, meeting hut, fun hut, call it what you like. Those will be your homes for the rest of the year" the man pointing at the 2 rows of huts. "2 to a hut, you choose, no mixed genders unless you don't care, report to the main hut at 6pm sharp. Goodbye" and with that he was on a buggy and the others followed it down the wooden planks and into the trees. You and the other teens are left there in a huddle.

When she was 16 she and her friend in the holidays got on a plane and went to Australia where the hiked across the country, finishing in time to get back to school, but her grandmother had died in the time she had been away and her mother wanted to move so they moved around the world finally coming back to England where her mother dropped the bomb-shell about Alex going for a year.

History; Toni grew up in England on a farm where she threw great parties and rebelled against her parents rules. but then in one party, when she was 16 someone burnt down the barn and Alex was grounded for a year. Instead of following this she jumped out a window and drove across Europe on her Harley Davidson, hiding from missing posters. She went back when she was 18 and her parents had moved. She tracked them down and they took her back in, but this time they tried something different; they sent her to this island.

She is very clever and also unlike her sister she uses it for studious reasons- give her a 1000page book and you'll have it again the next morning.

History; Charli was born in New Zealand and grew up there until she was 15 and then her family moved to Africa where they donated money to schools, and helped the villages. Her parents were pretty poor and to get more money they realised they would need to lose one of their 5 children, so they sent they oldest two off, Charli to a year island and her sister to boarding school, so they could get more money without using it up at the same time.

When his parents stopped moving when he was 15, his academic turned to home-schooling but still did not show any talents or good grades. Finally his parent had had enough of him and sent him to the island.

Even when she does get a little lonely, there's always a part of her that stays happy. She's a difficult person to be depressed around, as her friends have told her. She forgets easy too. She seems a little shy at times, and doesn't like making the first move, but when she does make friends, she's an exciting person to be around.
History;
She doesn't like to talk about it much, as she hates pity, but when she was younger, she went to a terrible school. Kids teased her and beat her up everyday because she was a little 'different'. She had no friends and was utterly lonely. The teachers did nothing to stop this, and eventually, she lit school on fire, and watching it burn. After that, she moved schools, where she finally made friends and became 'normal'. Her past really shaped her into the person she is now.

She has wavy, blonde hair that falls down to her shoulders and dark, mysterious blue eyes. She wears a hemp bracelet all the time for some reason. She is usually wears an orange spaghetti strap with blue, denim shorts and light blue chucks.
Personality;
Sarah is a somewhat quiet girl, keeping to herself a lot. She's somewhat intelligent though she had issues concentrating during school due to issues at home. She has major trust issues and will probably never find a lover. Despite her trust issues, she is a generally nice girl who is willing to do anything for complete strangers.
History;
Sarah has one of those pasts that would make someone shudder. Her birth mother was abusive and an alcoholic, even during pregnancy with her. Some days her mother's abuse would be physical (whippings, beatings, etc.) while other days it would be verbal. No one knew about the abuse but started getting a bit suspicious with the bruises that would appear all of a sudden.
Luckily, she was soon adopted by her aunt and uncle at the age of eight. They were decently rich, living in St. Louis, Missouri and lived by the Mississippi River. Then they moved to Hawaii at the age of fifteen, where Sarah learned to surf and joined the track team. During those years she met her ex-boyfriend Chaz, who she loved dearly. Sadly, he passed away from the car crash that made her lose her leg. Being the driver in that accident, she never forgave herself and never will.

Min is Asian with tan skin and messy black hair. He wears black glasses since he has horrible eyesight and he has multiple scars. Oh, he's also bound to wheel chair for life. His legs were run over by a car and, since his family was so poor, he had to keep his broken, crippled legs and just live with a wheel chair since he can't walk correctly. He usually wears a white, sleeveless shirt with a black jacket and black jeans to hide his horrid looking feet and bandages. He is barefoot for most of the time since he has issues finding the correct shoes for him.
Personality;
Despite his bad past, Min is an always happy person. He's never down, even in stressful times, and tries to keep everyone's spirits up. He loves to make people laugh and loves to laugh himself. He laughs at himself when he makes a mistake, which is very rarely considering how smart he is. He knows when to be mature and when not to be immature though.
History;
Min's life is full of poverty and hardships, which is the main reason why he didn't have much to bring to the island. Despite this, he had a good education at a free school and got straight A's. He was a hard working student, wanting to work in the technology field whenever he got older and if he could get into a college or something.

Alex looked at the others noting their faces to memory. She walked over to a blonde girl, with blue eyes and smiled "Hey, I'm Alex" she said brightly her green eyes roving the girl looking for anything weird or different incase she had been put in some mad experiment. Not finding anything she almost laughed at her stupidity.

Toni pulled her brown hair into a ponytail and looked around, deciding to explore and make friends later she walked up the steps to the nearest hut and pushed open the door. Inside a fan blew cool air and she smiled thankfully. Their were two beds each with mosquito nets ready to pull around on either side of the hut. They were single and the duve only a single white sheet. A bamboo bedside table was beside both and a rug in the middle of the hut. In a little room to the side a kitchen with a fridge, cooker and 2 counters stood. Another door led to the toilet and a sink, but no shower. Toni raised an eyebrow. A mirror hung above the sink and in the main room (bedroom) a wardrobe with a mirror on the door stood in a corner. "not much privacy" toni thought aloud as she stepped back outside.
