2018 CS Birthday: Pet, Item, & Event Discussion

Anyone know how many outcomes there are total from the Mega 50 blue litter box? So I know how many I still need to collect.

No Malk is not an official CS artist anymore. Shes retired. And yes she has given her linearts to be colored occasionally. EXCEPT for her dragons. Because there was a copyright issue with them. The reason the blue was stuck as a juve for an agonizing three months before finally just getting a PPS stamp. And the reason we've never gotten another new Malk dragon since then. She had a cool idea for a whole series of them. But that was then put on a shelf.

The only way we can get newly issued Malk Dragons as far as I'm aware would be if she modified the original linearts to take care of the copyright issue.

I guess there's a series of books about specific dragons. Her dragons were based off of these books. Fan art. Purely from an appreciating point of view. The powers that be didn't like it. So to stop any problems from coming of it, the Malk Dragons were tragically put away

Like I said...I'm hoping Malk being seen around means that shes done something it so we can have her very awesome first CS dragons back once again.

If I am correct, the series is called the "age of fire" (I read the books a few years ago and realized the similarities upon seeing the dragons). It is quite sad that the malk dragon lineart quit being used, but it makes all the more cool. If there are changes, I'm excited to see what they are going to be ^^

So I just realized something about the malk linearts being used for the massive litter:

These dont have Malks signature on them, which makes complete sense; she's retired and Malk's lines are and can be used by staff in her absence:


But these do...


I can't quite believe Malk would have time to create more pets-even though that'd be awesome for the 10th year CS Birthday Celebration <3 but how then does 1/4 crates-the same lines-have the signature? And before someone suggests they might have had trouble removing it, take the spider egg-we had a spider litter of 2 for halloween last year that had all the stages, those were created by Tess so they of course didn't have the Malk signature.

Or it could just be they wanted to pay a tribute to her and left the signature on the images.

Either way, I can't wait to see how they turn out (: I nearly passed out when I saw the 50 limit on the litter adopt page!

See, this is what I've been wondering about! Because most of the pets still on Malk lines don't have the "Malk" stamp on them. Same lines but a different artist.
So...why would a few have the stamp on them now if Malk didn't do them?

And the 5o adopt killed me... gave me staff litter flashbacks haha. I had ended up missing 14. >_<

Oh wow! How did I not notice this? Now I'm off to the archive to see if there are any other Malk lines by other artists that had the Malk signature.

That's the thought I had the other day, I'd kill for a cerberus that anyone could have, that would really decrease the demand of the other two I think. And in this palette? It'd be to die for. no pun intended

That would be very interesting to see, and honestly I would like to see that happen. Both cerbs were store pets, right?

I was talking with someone who's been on the site since 2o11 and their friend has been on since 'o8. They were ecstatic about the malk dragon egg release since they had never been able to get one of the old Malk dragons. Which is great for newer players and players who haven't had the luck of getting in demand pets like that.

That's the thought I had the other day, I'd kill for a cerberus that anyone could have, that would really decrease the demand of the other two I think. And in this palette? It'd be to die for. no pun intended

There's only one stage for the Cerberus (and Sleipnir, for that matter). All of the pets from the 50-adopt box are growing.

That being said, I would still love to see them available again for any reason
