"Wow. Have you ever seen anything so beautiful?" A slender tom muttered to himself, resting against the base of a tree and gazing at a small brown she-cat. He found himself gazing at the young female, deciding on the best way to mess around with her head. After all, that was his favorite thing to do, mess with the newcomers that think they can just waltz on into his woods without a consequence. His tail swayed calmly as he sunk into a crouch, almost blending in perfectly with the dirt mounds that littered the area. He watched as she spoke to herself, a happy grin upon her face and a shining glint of excitement in her mesmerizing blue eyes. "Confrontation would be good, you can just figure things out when you approach."
The tom stalked around the bushes, watching the female before padding out confidently, his eyes narrowed and a charming grin plastered upon his face. "You seem to be lost, love." He mewed cooley. The she-cat spin around, seemingly unshocked by the newcomer. "Oh! Hello there," she started, already beginning to unnerve the tom with her unusual colored eyes. "I didn't know anyone else loved over here!" She mewed. The dusty tom sat across from her, shaking himself out of what felt like a trance. "Who are you, exactly?" He murmured, his cheeky grin turning into a more defensive frown. "They call me Thunder that rumbles in the night, but as of a little under a moon ago, you can call me Thunderstar. It's shorter and MUCH easier to say!"
"Huh. Nice to meet you... I suppose." The tom stated. He watched her as she started to trot once more, head held high and full of confidence. The tom trotted quickly after her, now more curious in her intentions than anything. "So, love, why are you here?" He asked. The tom had tried to put on another dashing smile, but Thunderstar seemed immune to his irresistible charms. "The better question is, who are you? You didn't say your name back there."
"Me? Oh, that's an easy question, the name is Ferretfur." He said, giving her a small wink. To his dismay, the shecat didn't even blink! Nothing indicating he was getting a bite out of her. "OH, WAIT WAIT WAIT..." Thunderstar started, whipping around to face Ferretfur. "YOU HAVE ONE OF THOSE WARRIOR SOUNDING NAMES! ARE YOU A WARRIOR?" She asked. Her voice was loud and almost defeaning, Ferretfur was almost certain he wouldn't hear out of his left ear again. "No," he began, rubbing his ears. "My mother told me stories of them, though. Her name was Oliveheart, she was a clan cat. I got my own warrior name, though. Loner born, clan at heart." he messed, dramatically looking off into the distance.
"Sir what are you looking at there is nothing there." Ferretfur felt her slowly poke his face, and he sighed. Guess the lone warrior bit didn't work either. Never had he thought his charm would fail, and for a second he felt as if his life were meaningless, absolute rubbish. However, the shecat piped uo again, clearly interested in him. "SO YOU KNOW WHAT ITS LIKE TO BE A WARRIOR.... BUT YOU DONT HAVE A CLAN???" She screamed again, Ferretfur deciding to put his paw over her mouth before he lost his hearing for good. "Alright you gotta work on your volume level," he hissed. "But that is correct. I'm a pretty tought guy though, don't need anyone else. I can take care of myself," he paused, once again looking into the distance before whipping his head back to her. "But i can certainly protect you as well."
"No thanks!" Thunderstar started, turning and bouncing along the path. Ferretfur felt his jaw drop, his eyes widen, and his pride leave him all at once. "Wait wait wait, what do you mean no?" Ferretfur protested, slowly trying to scrape up whatever sense of pride he had left. "A gorgeous little lay such as yourself? Why, I would've surely believed that you'd need some, ah, manly protection." He argued, puffing out his chest and trying to walk beside her. "Nope!" Thunderstar stated again, a large grin slowly making its way upon her face. "I have a clan back there, they could protect me just fine, but I think I could protect myself." She retorted, adding a small nod of the head to reaffirm what she had just said. Ferretfur felt his tail twitch, this was too much for him. However, he decided that this was just a test of willpower, and he just needed to continue with persistence. "Hm, I'll do it!" Ferretfur exclaimed. He watched as Thunderstar stopped in her tracks and tilted her head. "Do... what? I didn't ask you to do anything!" She murmured. "See, I know a lovely she-cat like you would make a great leader. What's a leader without an army, I'm sure I could be your army." He said, trotting up beside her and brushing his fur against hers. He realized too late he had made a terrible mistake, for his ears were right next to her mouth, and her words vibrated in both to the point where he was certain they were bleeding. "OH THAT IS AN ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC IDEA, I'M SURE ADDERBITE AND AUTUMNPAW WILL ADORE YOU! HERE I CAN SAVE MY A-" He had to stop her, it was too much. "Stop yelling you'll attract the wolves." he murmured, slowly taking his paw off of her scream-hole once again. "CAMP is this way," Thunderstar stated, turning back around and leading the top to the camp.
This, he felt, would be the beginning of his quest. He would one day woo the leader and get her to be unable to resist him, and he would one day regain the fallen pride.
--- spoiler alert ; He doesn't

A large grey tom lay on the rocks, allowing the sun to warm his tattered pelt. He had a small smile, grinning as he relaxed in a place he called home, his home, a place that was safe and quiet. Well, it was quiet at least. The peace was disrupted by mousepaw yelling in the camp, Thunderstar running behind her as they made their way to the medicine cat den. "Adderbite, come over here!" Mousepaw called to the brute. He noticed she seemed to be a bit more frantic than normal, but nothing seemed to be wrong with a thunderstar, so he wasn't quite sure what to expect. As he approached, he noticed his leader curling around a small and unconscious kit. Adderbite looked between the two, alarmed to where the kit had come from. Adderbite opened his mouth to begin questioning, however Thunderstar began speaking before he could. "I found him alone by Adder Rocks, you know how dangerous that could be for a kit." She paused, nuzzling the small grey kit. "Looks no older than a moon. Poor kit, he's so small too. I'm afraid he won't make it." Thunderstars tone was uncharacteristically serious, this wasn't the same bouncy and loud leader that he was used to seeing in the camp. This was the first time he had seen this side of her; it was odd to him.
"He'll make it," Mousepaw murmured, giving thunderstar some berries to mush for the little kit. "When he awakes, give him these and call for me. I'll be retrieving some more berries from the bush that isn't too far from camp. I'll be taking ferretfur with me." She mewed, padding out of the den. Thunderstar turned to Adderbite, her blue eyes shining with sudden determination. "We're keeping him," she started. Adderbite figured this was obvious. "I will raise him to be my son. You have to act as the father figure."
Adderbite felt blood rushing to his face. Had it not been for his fur, it would've been clear that he was about as red as a tomato."W-Wait, why me?" He stammered, his eyes wide as he looked at the innocent bundle. "You're the only other cat I can ask." Thunderstar stated. "Sure, Ferretfur is a great cat and all, but you'd be a good role model, and I know you'll love him like your own." She added. "I'm not father material." Adderbite murmured, flattening his ears and looking at the ground."Please?" Thunderstar begged. Adderbite winced, knowing this isn't something that he could win. "Fine. I'll do it for you and for the kit, I'll do my best."
"I know you will." Thunderstar replied. She curled her tail around the bundle, resting her head on the ground nearby. "You have to give him a name, though. What do you plan on calling him?" Adderbite asked. The small kit shivered next to Thunderstar, looking like a bug compared to the already small leader. Thunderstar seemed to ponder for a moment before smiling. "Tinykit."

In floods and storms, they were washed away,
a pair of cats one fateful day.
A mother and her kit together,
She knew they couldn't blame the weather.
She knew her sins had caused the spirits to fret,
when a rogue and the she-cat had first met.
A law was broken; a forbidden affair
and a single life was the mother's to bear.
In camp, the life was born in secret,
for no one could know of the kit.
There was a law stating she could not be a mother,
forbidding a kit between a medicine cat and another.
Starclan had been watching, they knew of all
and so they sent a storm to fall.
A sudden flood washed them away,
to a far off place after floating for a day.
The kit, half-drowned, and the mother exhausted
With a neverending rain that they were accosted.
At last, however, they were saved by a tom
who's nature drew them nearer without a qualm.
"Hello, my love, what brings you near?"
"We were washed away from our home once dear,
I made a mistake and so starclan frowned
upon me and my kit. Ah, we were nearly drowned."
The tom looked at them, full of compassion
and picked up the kit that appeared so ashen.
The she-cat feared her child would not live,
but the tom replied they had medicine and food to give.
"This kit will live, I can promise you this.
Thunderstar will welcome you, my lovely miss.
May I ask your name, if that's okay with you?"
"You may," she mewed. "If you give me yours too."
"I am Ferretfur, a warrior of a tribe that you'll see.
And I hope, my love, that you'll one day be
a warrior that lives and dines with us too,
for you'll fit in so well." he mewed.
"My rescuer, my name is Briarleap.
And to my kit, I have a promise to keep.
She will be safe, she deserves no harm.
I do hope my presence will cause no alarm.
I made a mistake, I have a price to pay,
but my dear child should be allowed to stay."
The tom sat down and appeared to grin a tad.
"I do understand your fear, and any thoughts you had.
However, you both can stay and live your lives.
I do believe that it's here you will thrive."
Into the camp the she cat followed
the tom through a rotting log was hollowed.
She padded through and only saw a few cats rise
one of which bounded near and mewed in surprise.
"Hey there, you seem to be new!
Well I'm Thunderstar and it's here I welcome you!
We are the growing tribe of roaring flames."
Briarleap and her kit were welcomed forthwith,
and given a home between the great monolith.
And soon her trust grew in the clan
And it was here she realized her journey began.
She soon realized Starclan had given her a second chance,
to live her life and not look askance.

"Ferretfur, what's wrong?" Tinykit asked, his tail swishing as he focused only on Ferretfurs still tail. Tinykit wanted to catch it. The small grey ball of fur watched it with intense focus, seeing it as a wild snake ready to attack. He was ready for it, awaiting the right time to strike. Ferretfur only frowned, though, as he sat in the nursery with Wolfkit, Squirrelkit, and Tinykit. He wanted to do Thunderstar and Briarleap a favor by watching the kids, but he just didn't seem to have the energy today. He couldn’t put a paw on it, but he just didn’t want to do this. The flirty tom was almost always ready to watch the kits, loving them as if they were his own. He simply sighed, letting Wolfkit snuggle against his fur, seeking warmth and comfort from whoever she could. Squirrelkit tried to bite his ear, growling like a rabid dog as she seemingly tried to rip it off of him. "What's wrooooong" Squirrelkit asked again after letting go of the ear, Ferretfur deciding he would be dead by the end of this session. Neither Squirrelkit nor Tinykit were quite sure what else to do, though, with the silent tom. He wasn’t responding to any of their efforts!
"Maybe he's hungry!" Tinykit decided, bounding out of the nursery for a moment. While he was gone, Squirrelkit shook her head. "I think you just need to sleep. Sleep is good. You can't be sad when you're asleep!" She purred, sliding off of his back and landing right next to Wolfkit, startling the tiny grey kit for a moment before she fell back into her deep slumber.
Tinykit came backs a few minutes later, doing his best to drag a bird that was easily twice his size towards Ferretfur. The warrior couldn’t help but crack a smile, his tail curling over Squirrelkit and Wolfkit as they both slept, his gaze falling on the young tom that puffed out his chest with pride. It wasn’t easy dragging the bird there, after all. He was clearly tired, but that didn't stop him from trying his hardest to give the feathered beast to Ferretfur. "Thank you, Tinykit." The older tom mewed. Tinykit seemed to swell with pride as he was praised, looking as if he were about to burst with excitement. "You're going to make one determined yet strong warrior one day." He added, causing the kit to giggle with excitement. Tinykit couldn’t wait to be a warrior, and the praise made the small kit dream of being the best. After all, what can’t doesnt want to be the “best warrior” in the clan?
Tinykit beamed for another good while, Ferretfur was sure that he could see the cat actually radiating happiness. Ferretfur couldn't help but smile too, how could he not? Kits are just tiny balls of happy innocence, he forgot that they could cheer him up in even the darkest of days. "You won't be sad anymore, right Ferretfur? You have a bird now and you can sleep!" Tinykit asked curiously, his wife eyes gazing up at the warrior with hope and anticipation. Ferretfur nuzzled the small kit and motioned him to come join the sleep pile. "No, little one, I'm okay now. I won’t be sad." he purred.

A silver tabby tom lay curled up, purring as he slept. He had been in the tribe of roaring flames for a moon or so now, and life seemed to be pretty good. He got along well with mostly everyone in the clan, a select few cats seeming to put him on edge, but nothing he couldn't handle. He felt himself jolt awake, though, when the booming voice of the deputy, Adderbite, also known as his mentor, scared him awake. "Bones, let's go. Crowpaw is already up, you're late."
He remembered today was training day, and a slight dread filled his stomach. The small tom sighed, lazily getting himself up and twisting into a stretch. He trotted outside, slinking down slightly as he approached the seemingly angry brute who awaited outside of the den, Crowpaw waiting behind him in silence. Without a word, Adderbite and Crowpaw turned and headed out of camp, Boneshaker following a few mouse-lengths away.
The trio trotted through the heavily wooded area, the training area not being too far from camp, but walking there seemed like an eternity to Bones. It was one of his first training sessions, and neither the happy singing of the birds or the small pitter pat of mice fleeing from the scene could fill him with confidence. Even the last few he seemed to be nervous despite clearly being adept in hunting and finding other food. Patrolling was a breeze. He knew well what to do, he had been trained by a warrior, but he was afraid. Afraid to let Adderbite down, and afraid to make himself look like a fool. He didn't want to show off, though, and make Crowpaw feel bad. He didn't know too much about the apprentice, who tended to keep to himself. Bones hoped that this would change.
"Alright," Adderbite began, Crowpaw and Bones sitting patiently for their mentor to show them what to do. The large brute seemed to be slightly awkward with it, nervous even.Maybe not nervous, Bones could've easily been imagining it or projecting his own feelings onto Adderbite. Despite that, Bones couldn't quite figure out why he thought this. "I think we'll begin with fighting techniques today, you never know when you'll need to defend the camp or ward off an enemy on a patrol. So..." the brute trailed off, turning his gaze to focus solely on Bones. "You're up first. Crowpaw can watch a thing or two from attacking an adult. Once we're done, you two will spar."
Bones found himself shaking despite the sun being high and very weak winds barely helping the rising heat. "Okay, sir." Bones murmured, his ears pinned flat against his head. The two cats assumed a position far enough away from one another for Boneshaker to feel temporarily relaxed.
"Alright, let's begin with some easy moves." Adderbite announced, wasting no time to charge at Boneshaker preparing himself for the worst. He watched Adderbite, who was surprisingly fast, quickly spin around and appear to be ready to kick. As Adderbite's legs began to shoot forward, Bones dodged it with ease, jumping to the side. He could have sworn Adderbite grinned a little. "This works more effectively as a surprise attack, as you might have noticed, it's a move to catch an opponent from behind. Make sure when you do this to judge your opponent's distance carefully and lash out. All of your weight should go to your front paws, you don't want to be out of balance."
The training went on like this for some time, hours passing by as Adderbite seemed to enjoy tormenting Boneshaker, who wanted nothing more than to prove his worth but without defying his mentor. He didn't want to tell Adderbite that Fallen had been his mentor, and that Bones knew a majority of these techniques.
Bones glared slightly at the brute, who clearly wanted to hurt him. This entire time it was Bones that was the dummy to be practiced on, never Crowpaw. A slight jealousy came over him, however Adderbites booming voice brought him back to reality. He realized that it wasn't over yet. "Let's try something more advanced, though. More useful when it comes to battles against other creatures. Last thing for today." Adderbite mewed, noticing that the sun was now at its highest, and Crowpaw was exhausted. He once again fixed his single-eyed gaze on Bones, who narrowed his eyes. Adderbite seemed to smirk, though, not even slightly intimidated by Bones' glare. "I suppose you and Crowpaw will have to spar tomorrow, I didn't realize how much time had passed. Nevertheless, this one is rough and I never want you to use it on another cat. If you were to use this in battle, it is a last resort, and not something that is okay. You got that you two?" Adderbites attitude was once again more serious as he spoke to them, bones and crowpaw both realizing how bad of a move this would be.
It didn't take long for Bones to realize what move Adderbite was speaking of, watching the brute charge at him and pounce was like a nightmare, his long and thorn-sharp fangs showing as Adderbite hissed. Boneshaker instinctively moved out of the way, diving under the tom and skidding to the side. Adderbite once again smirked. "You don't even know what I was going to do."
"Yes, I do." Bones replied, his ears flattening against his head as he spoke up against the brute. "I was taught by Fallen, a warrior cat that taught me everything there could be to know about clan life. Or, well, most of it. You were about to show Crowpaw the killing bite." Adderbite seemed to smile a bit. Bones was disgusted. "And what is that?"
"The killing bite; you use it to end battles but there is no winner. It's basically a death blow right to the neck. Enemies dead, but you have to live with the guilt of taking a life." He murmured, his voice trailing off as Adderbite seemed to smile proudly, leaving Bones to be slightly confused. "So why am I teaching you? You don't need to be here, kittypet." He stated teasingly. "I already spoke to Thunderstar, she told me that you mentioned being trained already."
Boneshaker felt a smaller presence press against his body. "That means you get to be a warrior now and get that cool name!" Crowpaw mused quietly, a small, possibly forced smile came across his face. Bones noticed a slight hint of sadness as well, but seemed to dismiss it for now. "So that means I'm a full fledged member of the clan?" Bones felt a slight bitterness towards the deputy, but most had vanished at the bought of being a warrior. A true warrior.
Adderbite chuckled. "You've already been a member. This is your home either way. Now, let's get back to the clan, Crowpaw is exhausted."

"No, no that can't be right. That... that shouldn't be right! What do you mean?" Boneshaker asked nervously, a starry white she-cat with pure white eyes stared at him. She seemed to smile at him with a sweet softness, gazing at him with the same patience she always had. "Boneshaker," she paused, giving Boneshaker a moment to process her request once more. "It was meant to be, you are meant to bec-" "You're wrong," Boneshaker cut the starry she cat off, but it seemed to be too late. "I will appear before your leader, Boneshaker. This is your destiny. Don't worry, we will guide you every step of the way. Have faith, Boneshaker. It will be ok."
---
Boneshaker awoke in the dead of night, only the crickets humming their normal tune and the soft snoring of Adderbite could be heard- the camp never seemed to be fully silent. Boneshaker sat up, a slight frown tugging the side of his mouth. "There's no way I could do that, I...." he trailed off, looking at the other warriors that lay before him. He shook his head, then slowly made his was out of the den. He needed to clear his head.
"Boneshaker?" a familiar feminine voice purred.
"Thunderstar! What... are you doing awake?" Boneshaker asked, however he already had a sick feeling in his stomach.
"Something tells me you know what i'm here for," Thunderstar purred, her icy blue eyes staring directly into Boneshakers. "She spoke to me, told me you were able to communicate with them. She told me of your other... abilities. She said that it was your duty to become a medicine cat." Thunderstar murmured. "I want to follow the will of starclan, so tomorrow you will be named a medicine cat. She told me that you have skills in the field already, is this true?"
"Yes, Thunderstar." Boneshaker mewed quietly, frowning slightly. "What about Mousepaw?"
"She will understand, she will receive her warrior name shortly, but not tomorrow. She still has yet to come of age."
Boneshaker still wore the apprehensive expression, although Thunderstar didn't seem to notice. He sighed, lowering his head in defeat. "Alright, Thunderstar. As starclan commands."
---
"May all cats old enough to catch their own pray and heed the word of starclan rise and gather here. Starclan has sent me a message, giving me clear instructions to what they wish. One of our newer members has been hand chosen by the ancestors themselves to become the new medicine cat, to switch his path from warrior to healer, and become our new omen teller. Boneshaker, please come forward."
Hesitantly, the spotted tom stepped forward. His heart raced in his chest with the pressure of the clan eyes on him, both those that have passed and those in front of him stared directly into his soul. He couldn't tell if it was disapproving or not, but the clan cats murmured before him. He noticed Mousepaw, who seemed to be rather ecstatic to have a companion in the den with her, and it eased his fears but only for a moment. Once Thunderstar began speaking, he felt the fear once again take hold. What if he couldn't do this?
"Boneshaker, the ancestors have spoken. From this day forth you will take on the role as medicine cat. You and mousepaw will make a great team in tending to the sick and injured. Never fear, for starclan will always be there to guide you..." Thunderstar trailed off, her serious leader-like expression fading into a softer, more 'Thunderstar' like appearance. She turned to him, facing him with the proud expression a mother has when her kits are grown and strong. "I know you'll do great boneshaker, you've always been awesome. Starclan is making the right choice. Trust in them as I have, okay? Don't you worry about a thing, Mousepaw has your back if you ever need the help." She murmured, turning back to face her clan. "To the new medicine cat!"
The clan was silent for a moment before erupting into cheers of all kinds of excitement. Boneshaker wasn't quite sure this was something he could do, but he had to, it was his destiny.

"Crowpaw, Brokenpaw, Softpaw, Ferretfur and I will all go on a hunting and border patrol." Adderbite mewed, his gaze focused on Thunderstar. Thunderstar nodded and brushed up against Adderbite, smiling softly as she trotted back to her den. Adderbite could feel the heat rush to his ears, making his skin burn underneath the massive pile of fur that he possessed. Thank the goddess that she wouldn’t be able to see, even she wouldn’t notice. He was frazzled by a moment by the pretty feline; however his mind snapped back into attention as he remembered what he wished to do. Thunderstar chuckled a little bit, sensing the cats sudden warmth. Upon her approval, Adderbite gathered up his party. Crowpaw, Brokenpaw, and Softpaw undoubtly scheming something, their nervous faces giving them away when the deputy arrived. Adderbite would probably find out whatever it was much later, as it was likely he would be the brunt of it. Lucky him. Ferretfur was alone in the warriors den, uncharacteristically quiet, although Adderbite decided to not press his luck and question the silence.
Within a few moments the patrol was assembled. The patrol made their way under the dead log that acted as the entrance into the camp and went on their merry way. Adderbite watched carefully as the apprentices immediately took charge, clearly trying to prove that they were "warrior material." He couldn't help but smile a little, they always worked hard.
Crowpaws ears twitches, a faint yelling in the distance catching his attention. He started trotting a bit faster, leaving Brokenpaw and Softpaw behind, looking slightly confused. Adderbite and Ferretfur exchanged a curious glance before running after him. "Guys come quick!" Crowpaw shouted, his voice shaky and alarming. He rarely yelled, and he never seemed to let nerves get the best of him. Their original thought was twoleg trouble, or some predator. Brokenpaw darted quicker than any of the others. Instead of their previous beliefs, though, there was only a she-cat waiting for them. She appeared to be fine, although her eyes betrayed her. She was terrified, but of what?
"You have to help me, please. Our friend.. we need to save our friend."
---
The group was led to one of the more dangerous places in the mountain area, known for falling rocks and dangerous predators. They weren't surprised when they saw a lighter ton waiting by a pile of large rocks, talking to the inside. The patrol didn't ask questions, they knew the cat was alive underneath the rubble. They had fallen perfectly to create a cage of sorts, not crushing the cat that was underneath. However, if they didn't act fast, she could perish in there.
---
By the time the sun had went down and the ancestors painted the sky, they had finally finished. A rugged cat around the same age as the apprentices crawled out, injured and weak. "Please, come with us." Adderbite offered, Ferretfur lifting the small apprentice-aged cat and following the deputy. He made sure to get a small grin and wink at the other she cat before going on his merry way. On the way back the outsiders introduced themselves as Fidget, Hoot, and Pebble- soon to be warriors of the Tribe. [ 536 words ]

Curious about the new arrivals, the Tribe gathered around Hoot and Fidget to hear their stories. Although reluctant to tell the story of before they met, as these cats were strangers and could not yet be fully trusted, they simply decided to tell the story of how they wound up in the situation that allowed them here.
--
"Hoot we need to take shelter," Twitch shouted, watching the clouds roll in overhead. "It's going to storm, and by the feel of it, it's gonna be a nasty one."
"Nonsense!" Hoot replied, giving a cheeky grin. "We'll be fine, I bet we can get a little more ground before it comes. We're making good progress, we can't stop now. Come on, just a little bit further." The tom replied. His confidence put Twitch's fears at ease, even if only for a moment. They followed a thin trail in between large rock formations, the trio following one another in silence up until Pebble squeaked. "I felt a raindrop!"
Twitch glanced up at the dark grey sky, a sudden boom of thunder echoing throughout the area. Pebble jumped and hid underneath Twitch, who momentarily froze. "Hoot we have to find a place to stay for the night. Please, before it gets too dangerous and we get lost."
Hoot frowned, but seeing the look of fear that Pebble and Twitch shared tugged at his heart, and he couldn't help but sighajd give in. "Okay. Let's g-"
Hoot was cut off by a large bolt of lightning cutting through the sky, the loud rumbling of thunder, and the subsequent shaking that seemed to follow. "Run" He stated, leaving no time for the other two to process what had happened before taking off. All around them boulders seemed to be rolling off the top of the mountains, crashing into the ground around them, creating craters and cracks in the surface. The three cats ran for their lives, however Pebble didn't seem to be fast enough. A gutteral scream echoed through the mountains. Hoot and Twitch gasped, looking behind them to see a pile of rocks instead of their friend. "Pebble?" Twitch whispered, her eyes wide with fear and grief. "No, No... please no..." She whispered.
"Guys I'm okay, I'm okay..." the soft and weak whispering coming from behind the rubble. "Get me out, please, its cramped and hard to breathe."
"It's gonna be ok Pebble I promise, Hoot try to get her out i'm going to find help. If the stories are true there will be cats here that can help."
It was here where Twitch took over the story, explaining it from her point of view. The focus of the clan shifted to her, and she shifted uncomfortably with the idea of being the center of attention. Nevertheless, she continued.
Twitch ran through heavy foliage and eventually came across a small clearing. The scent of other cats was older, but not ancient. It hasn't yet been washed away by storms, or covered by the scent of foxes or wolves that occasionally plagued the area. "They have to behere," she murmured to herself, continuing on a path. "I have to find them, they can help us."
Hoot frowned, cutting in on Twitch's part of the story. The clan shifted their focus on the large brute.
"It's my fault this happened," Hoot murmured, his tail swaying back and forth anxiously. He pawed viciously at the rocks, but his efforts proved to be fruitless. "I'm going to get you out Pebble, I'm so sorry." Hoot whispered. "It's ok hoot but please don't panic because if you start to panic i'all start to panic and I really don't want to panic right now." Pebble mewed, her voice muffled and shaky. She was scared.
"Is anybody out there?" Twitch screamed, her voice echoing throughout the territory. "Please, I need your help!" The she-catbwgged, her voice raising out of desperation. For a few moments she waited, tense and hopeful. The only sound that could be heard was the screaming of birds and the hissing of swaying trees. "Please..." she begged. Just as she turned around, though, the small patter of paws hitting the crunching leaves caused her to stop. She turned to face a small tom, who yelled for others. She knew her prayers were answered.

Boneshaker awoke with a start, restlessly turning against a soft and cloudy plain. His eyes shot open, his new surroundings immediately registering in his head. "What?" He murmured, his tail swishing against a slowly forming ground. The lazy feline picked himself up from the ground, stretching out lightly. The sky above him was a deep purple that reached into eternity, stars illuminating his path. "Hello?" the small tom called out, his tail swaying with caution as he trotted. It was quiet, although that's the eternal realm, a lovely silence.
"Boneshaker, welcome." a soft, feminine voice purred. The voice always made Boneshaker feel comfortable and given him a sense of belonging. With every word, he always felt reminded of how he began his journey in the first place, it brought him solace to know that he still wasn’t crazy. "We've been expecting you, we're glad you could join us today." she purred, a tall and slim silver cat trotting out of the bushes. Her eyes were pure white, and she stood tall and proud. Her ears, however, revealed a much more dire message. They lay flat against her head, indicating an uncharacteristic fear that Boneshaker had never seen before.
"What is it you need?" Boneshaker asked respectfully, dipping his head. The silver she-cat frowned. "I fear," she paused, looking to the pitch black forest that rivaled the bright night sky. "that a dire situation is upon us, terror will strike the clans. We fear the worst, for we feel it in our souls."
"What does that mean?"
"It means, dear Boneshaker, you are in danger." She murmured, shaking her head solemnly.
"What can I do to stop this?" He asked nervously, his eyes widening with fear. However, the silver she cat only sighed.
"You can't."
Boneshaker gasped, his eyes widening in horror. "Surely there is a way for me to help? Surely there is something i can do, something that you know about. What are you not telling me? Please, what is going on? I have to protect this clan, I have to..." He whispered, his ears flattening. Small, razor sharp claws dug into the ground, as if he were trying to ground himself here. As if he would be whisked away at any moment.
"Whatever you do," The silver spirit whispered, her pure white gaze fixed on Boneshakers own. "Protect the clan. Find a way to help, but do not create panic. If you must, keep it quiet, but do not let the shadow spirits win. We will help you along the way, but we cannot do much."
A second cat stepped forward, grey pelt speckled with stardust that glittered in the dark sky-setting they resided in. "Awaken with the caw of a wild crow, for it can mend the broken moon, and all things lost to the dusts of time, but only when paired with outsiders from neighbors lost can will the darkness be defeated. However if not acted upon soon, your fate will twist and turn, and all things will be forever gone."
