Yep, my irl friend always talks to be about that! I don't know if it's confirmed or not, but i have a strong feeling that they are based off of the book series!

I seriously doubt it. Malk also made a white dragon and a red dragon in her lines, so I don't see any resemblance to that book series.

Actually I do think that they are based on a book series but I'm not sure which one. I remember there being an issue with it so that's why the lineart stopped being used. I'm not sure if that's passed now though since there is a new dragon for the birthday release.
