2018 CS Birthday: Pet, Item, & Event Discussion

I'm so excited for Malk pets. Did Malk come back just for the birthday?

I can't confirm as I'm not on staff, but I'm 90% sure this will be the same case as with the CNY Malk adopts, just using the Malk lines and not actually designed by her.

Malk hasn't stated if she is coming back. She's been absent for a long time. I am pretty sure she gave staff permission to use her line art on special occasions.

Oh I missed the spud dragon. Was every species on cs released?

Not every species. I think. There's so many, it gets hard to remember sometimes...

I believe the only (archived) one we're missing is.. Tree.

Unless we don't get either a Tess Horse and/or a Sitting Cat from the presents, we're probably missing the old Guinea Pigs, too, which are technically just listed under the archive as Guinea Pigs like the others. Which I find sad because I actually prefer that old lineart over the new ones. That's probably just nostalgia talking for me but still. x3

Ones that aren't listed in the archive that it doesn't seem like we got are Nick Rat, '08 Tess Husky, Nick Chihuhua, and Malk Smiley, which all aren't that surprising to not be included since there's only one or two of each. I'd assume the Nick Egg would grow into a Nick Horse those are listed in the archive while the Nick Chicken is not, so we probably didn't get a Nick Chicken either. But I'm assuming Nick does those pets and since he's not an artist, it may have been harder for him to do all of his linearts for this. I would've loved to see another Nick Rat, though. x3

I can't think of anything else not included though.

Technically the lines are CS property so they have free use of using them when they want, correct?

I only managed to get on about ten minutes ago. No luck yet, but i love events like these and am super excited to see if i can get anything i like!

im thinking we will get a light blue malk dragon but if the adult line is canceled why do they still get released evert dec 18th? isnt that still copyright??

The copyright issue was from the dragons being based off of the story characters. I can totally see them bringing back the adult lineart with completely unique designs.

I think the issue had something to do with the growth cycle of the dragons matching that of those in the books too? Like with how their wings grew and stuff. And the design of the linearts being modeled after the dragons from the books? I could be wrong, though, but I could've sworn I read something like that somewhere. I've never read those books so I have no idea. If that's the case, though, then I would think that even just the sitting stage could be an issue.

So... who know what we get. If all that linearts (even growing stages) was an issue, maybe we get new lines? Or they allowed to make one new dragon? I can't wait to see it now.
