- i really dislike songs that boast, which is generally why a lot of western songs, mainly hiphop, don't appeal to me. hence, i'm not a fan of mic drop.




i disagree to be honest, but maybe its a cultural difference. that said bts have always been extremely humble so seeing them brag g and celebrate the status they have now makes me happy



- for popular idol groups such as bts, a song charting high has nothing to do with how good the song is. even if they released a horrible track, it's bound to debut great on the charts.




sure, but it's not like bts has a bad song in my opinion, production wise all of their songs are great, whether you personally like them or not.



- bts is not all that special for writing their own songs ?? maybe for the lyrics they write specifically, but not the act. i mean, good for them because the songs are great, but it's not a unique thing like some fans make it out to be. groups such as bap have been making their own songs for years and from what i've seen, rarely does anyone care or give them respect for it.



except that in korean pop companies usually have other people write their songs, same with the western musical industry, writing for artists is a big thing. so when an artist does it, its good to give kudos to them, makes them only that much more talented, this goes for anyone who does it, not just bts.

i like both, but maybe they're not your style? thats fine LOL BST was easily the best korean song dropped in 2016 for me though.



i don't really want a full on exo x bts collab ?? mostly because their styles are very different and i don't think they'd mesh well musically ??



oh i'd personally love that LOL BTS and exo both do rnb leaning pop so i personally think they'd sound great together, and bts x exo are friends anyway.

i respectfully disagree but i can see the point LOL. war of hormone is pretty different sonically from the rest of bts's songs, and the lyrics don't really bother me, they're just from the perspective of a guy's hormones and finding women attractive and i think it was written based off their experience during AHL.

also j-hope, jimin and jungkook are undoubtedly the best dancers in bts, but EVERY member can dance well, better than a lot of groups imo. Jimin and j-hope have different styles, you can't really compare the two, but both of them are very experienced dancers. that said "main" and lead dancer roles are unfamiliar to me.

this is kind of meant in more of a hypothetical situation. or the fact that perhaps every song is not as good, but they will all be in the top10 while a 'better' song gets pushed out.

sadly a lot of korean companies do not give their idols oppurtunies to showcase their own songs on albums. i believe in sm, they have to submit it for approval or smth (guessing based on what lay said about promise). //this is just generally a jibe to some fans who use it to praise bts as a unique thing that makes them 'superior' and don't seem to know that other groups do it as well. not all fans are like this, ik.

ahh i mainly meant different as in rap orientated vs vocal orientated. i think it'd be nice if it was one in smaller groups of two, three, or four. (tae&baek, chanyeol&jungkook, xiumin&kai&jimin&tae, etc). that being said, other than a dance preformance, i'm not very hopeful think it'll happen based on who exo has collaborated with so far (solo artists + female idols).

might as well share my own opinions :')

i lightly agree and disagree with some opinions, such as the exo x bts thing. it's good to see variety in what people like and dislike about bts and their music. for me, it makes bts better because of their flaws.

i. i don't really like most songs of bts that have rapping for a majority of the song. i see that bts is a hip hop, pop group, but i don't really have any favorites of bts in that genre. a majority is actually their more pop genre for me. i do enjoy the occasional song however

ii. i don't really see any main dancer/singer/etc. of course each of the members have a strength in something, ex. jimin and dancing or rm and rapping. i see all of them that they are equals and that they can always improve their skills more and more each comeback.

iii. shipping... i understand and support it in a way yet i don't get it? some people see the ship as friends, others as story driven 'couples' in bts, or flat out romantics. for example yoonmin [don't get me wrong, it's really cute], but how some people see them as friends or as romantics confuses me. ;a;

- i reaaaally don't like war of hormone. the tune and the beat is catchy as hell and the mv looks hella good but the lyrics make me really uncomfortable and imo they're really cringey

ok since we're on this topic I'd like to say that a lot of rm's solo music makes me uncomfortable, i mean if you've heard expensive girl you know what i mean. I love rm but, idk some of his solo songs aren't my favorite. I think he should release another mixtape if he has time- I think he could improve now

ah I really agree with this opinion, I'll share my thoughts. dna was such a big difference in style from their previous title tracks I had to take in a couple of listens to appreciate it. I do like it that bts are experimenting with their music and trying a more pop and colorful song/mv. But I have always loved bts for their hip-hop and rnb style like their album "dark and wild" and this comeback didn't cut it out for me, but the sidetracks on the album are great! such as my favorite outro: her

in my opinion the love yourself/dna comeback was amazing but that could just be because I joined the fandom right around that time. dna's not my favorite but i love sea, serendipity and illegal

also this is unrelated but i'm so excited for their next comeback because it'll be my first as a fan! I guess i kind of joined the fandom before love yourself was released but it was after serendipity and the highlight reels were released so i don't think i was really there for the whole thing but i will be for this one and i'm so hyped aaa

I liked love yourself: her, it's good that they are growing as artists and i love how much acclaim and international fame it got them. I prefer rnb but i can genuinely say i loved all the songs in that album, dna being my least favorite but still it grew on me a l o t.

i think this'll be my third comeback with bts, i got into them around the time not today came out.

- i am not liking their electrohouse genre that they're getting into now, to be honest. i feel like it kind of takes the soul out of their music and makes the beat repetitive and basic ?? idk, it just doesn't sound as nice to me

- i'm not a big fan of many bts title tracks honestly, like DNA, i need u, save me , etc. i just don't think the style is that nice, but some of the other songs on the album that aren't title tracks definitely deserve recognition

- i can understand why so many people love spring day because it's a soft song , etc and is lovely, but to be honest i was disappointed when it came out. the teaser for it was soo beautiful and i was so hyped over it coming out, but.. the actual song was way more pop and less acoustic than i thought, and i was disappointed. if it was more acoustic then i would have totally fallen in love with it

- i love their acoustic songs way more than their hiphop/electrohouse eras

im a huge yoonmin shipper and i'd like to see them as romantics but i mostly ship them because they're so close with eachother. it seems like they have a really good friendship but i also think they could be actually more than friends. but who knows lol
