Foxstar looked at the clan. They couldn't go any longer. He sighed. "My clan," he started," tonight we are here to vote again. Speak now who you vote for."

Foxstar began to tally the votes. The most were for stoatheart and mosswish. His ears pinned. "This is nonsense! We can't exile two cats!" He said aloud. "Some cat must change their vote!"

Every cat bickered but no votes changed. Foxstar was stunned. Who was next in the line of murders? "No cat will be exiled," he said just audible.

A moon later....

Foxstar left his den late at night. Why had the kills stopped? This couldn't be right. He padded out of the camp in thought. There had to be an answer.

He sighed and lined up sticks. One for each clan member. He broke three. One for each of the dead. His ears perked hearing the reeds rustle lightly.

"Who's there?!" He hissed. The cat stepped out. "I'm sorry," the cat said, "I didn't mean to startle you." Foxstar sighed.

"I should've known it was you out here. What's the issue?" Foxstar asked. He looked the cat over carefully.

The cat gasped," Thunder clan is in the trees just over the border! Follow me!" Without another thought the two ran towards the border. The cat led foxstar right under a branch. "I scented them here. I'll check if they moved." The cat wandered off a few tail lengths before hearing the branch crack.

Foxstar looked up hearing the old branch come loose. The cat yelled out for foxstar to move but it was too late. The cat looked at foxstars body. "I'm so sorry," they whispered softly before slipping off to camp. They snuck into their nest and curled up to try to sleep

Silverkit stirred in the nest, carefully not to distrube her family. Streatching, she tiptoed out of the nursery, her eyes searching camp. "Looks like I may be the first one up," she murmured to herself. "Hmm, I'm suprised Foxstar isn't up," she murmured, tail flicking. Settling outside the nursery, she watched silently from the shadows, waiting for someone to come out.
