You know, I didn't honestly think Where the Wild Things Are was that bad... I thought it was kind of- I don't know, compelling, kind of sweet in its odd, strange way. >.> call me a weirdo (lots of people do) but I thought it was pretty good

I know!!! I love the Cheshire Cat.. I looked up at a crescent moon one night, and it reminded me of his smile..

I like libraries because you don't have to buy the books, but you have to bring them back... :`( I think I'd rather buy all my books, but AFTER I've already read them so I know they're good.

And I make it an absolute RULE for myself never to see the movie before reading the book. I did that once (inkeart) and I hated myself for it. XP

I'm so glad I made this thread; I've got all sorts of book ideas for next time I go to the library!!!

seriously though, anyone have any ideas on how to chose my mini-dictators? XD (mini-mod is too boring, lol)

How many of the above symptoms you regularly experience: I whisper "that's not what happens in the book" to random strangers at the movies, i get so caught up in books that i react majorly to the endings, i read late into the night all the time, even on school nights, i've read numerous books cover to cover in one sitting, and i've lost count of how many book characters i've fallen in love with. WOO BOOK-LOVERS!!

by the way, have any of you guys read Stargirl by Jerry Spinelli? (I know you have, Cat ) I loved that book... I've read it twice now.

OH MY GOSH, how could I have forgotten Holes by Louis Sachar? now THAT is an amazing book. The plot was so original, so amazing! I've read THAT one at least four times. *runs off to edit booklist AGAIN*
