Ro watched and shook his head, his ears hurting. He watched her and the baby and then as Max came over to babysit.

"Puppy!" The little girl spoke, reaching for Max.

The other baby slept peacefully beside Ro.

Max wagged his tail happily and licked her hands, he didn't mind her grabbing and pulling, or at least he took it with good humor.

She happily tugged at his paws before she tired herself out, falling asleep.

Annabelle smiled at Kenzie. "Our loves are so cute. Now, let's go start supper and catch up. You don't look too good...." She murmured, going to help with supper.

Max laid with her between his paws and tucked against his chest, he'd watch over her, he was a guardian after all.

Ro watched her go, laying with the other child, a different kind if guardian then Max, but he'd protect Annabelle and her family.
