King was greeted in the morning by his mate, Flower’s excited cry. “King my dear, you’ll never think what I’m going to say?” “What?” King asked, confused. “I’m going to have cubs!” Flower cried enthusiastically. King’s face broke into a wide smile. “That’s great dear,” he murmured. “If you ever need anything, tell me.”
He and Flower headed out and saw Emu trying to stop her cubs, Orchid and Daisy, from ruining the camp. She looked up as King came over, and flashed him an apologetic smile. “Sorry, they’re being very hyper today. I don’t know how I’m going to handle them! It’s my first time having cubs...”
Orchid leaped onto King’s back, small claws digging into his pelt. “Carry me!” She commanded, but King shook her off gently. “Not now, Orchid,” he replied.
Turning to Emu, he suggested, “Flower has had many litters before. She can help you take care of Orchid and Daisy. She can’t go out now that she is carrying my cubs.”
Emu’s eyes opened in shock and turned to Flower. “Congratulations!” She smiled. “I hope your cubs won’t be as much of a trouble as mine.” She turned to look at Daisy, now trying to pull at King’s long mane. But was that wistfulness he detected in Emu’s tone? He shook it away.
“Emu, will you be fine hunting and patrolling on your own?” He asked, and she nodded. “Good. I might hunt too but I want to visit our ancestors.”

The pride is secretive and mysterious with outsiders, but inside the pride they're considered family to each other. Pride of Whispering Sands doesn't normally use their strength and power in battles, but more their speed and minds. Pride of Whispering Sands is known to outsmart their opponent, often leaving them bewildered or unsure. Pride of Whispering Sands is fairly ambitious, often setting goals they'd like to achieve.

akida stretched his legs before leaving the rock that was bathed in sunlight, where he had been sleeping since he created his pride, usiku. he walked slowly around his borders, marking them and making sure there were no intruders. he sighed as he squinted up at the sun. it was an unusually bright day, and since he was alone, he decided he needed more followers. he walked to the sacred rock that he could talk to the ancestors from. "hear my cry, great ancestors, and please send me a new follower. i would prefer a queen or a shaman."

Plantagenet Pride

The Plantagenat Pride(or Genet Pride for short) is made up of usual looking lions...but thier speed and agility rival all. If a lion is born bulky or slow, they are not allowed to breed. Ever. If they have a problem, they can leave.

They give birth high up in the bayobab trees, where the male clears branches to make a nook safe for giving birth. Large litters are uncommon (4-5 cubs), but only happen when the mother is feed well(the highest ranking). If the dominant queen loses her cubs, others are taken from subordinates to console her.

The king can have a 'perminant queen' who stays in his harem for her life, if he truly loves her. At weaning, Cubs are given names as they have proved they can live. Before weaning, they are either referenced to as 'first','second' ect. Or 'cutie' 'mew-mew' 'little one' ect.

When a litter is one year old, they have 'agility trials' such as jumps, sprints, crawling ect. As a coming of age ritual. If females fail, they become nannies and care for young when the queens go out to help hunt. If males fail, they can either leave or be castrated. If they pass, they can leave or stay and help hunt.

Every year, on the solar eclipse, the whole pack will journey to the great salt pan and hunt an elephant. They then drag it back home and feed off it for many days.

Send me my queen so I will never seek the touch of another!"strange surprised mumbles could be heard. "I wish to change the dynamic of my pride. I wish for one queen. The Pride of Blazing Sands lives in the sandy grass lands of Africa. Their territory consists of sandy, grass filled hilly areas with one main lake as their only source of water.
