The story of MoonClan starts long before I was born, a rare few even were told the story about how our clan came to be. My mother was the great granddaughter of the leader Moonstar; yes you heard me correctly, Moonstar, the first leader of MoonClan. The story starts with three clans living peacefully in the forest, but one day, the leader of CedarClan received a prophecy, The path will be shown through the darkness of night, beware of the orange tongues that threaten to destroy. The prophecy was about a young warrior by the name of Moonfur. One quiet night, a fire suddenly started in the heart of the forest, soon raging among the three clans that made it their home. Moonfur then knew this is what he was supposed to do, he then bravely led the cats of CedarClan, BrairClan, and EbonyClan away from the fire that threatened to come between the cats and safety. Once they knew they were safe, Moonfur was then visited by StarClan and was given his nine lives and was renamed Moonstar. With the spirits of StarClan guiding him, the young clan then decided to name themselves, MoonClan in honor of StarClan and the brave Moonstar who saved them all.

The clan of moonlight makes their home in a
small clearing surrounded by thick bramble and trees.
The dens in the camp itself is created of fallen trees
and thick bramble bushes.

Outside of the camp is a medium sized forest that is
also an island as the forest is surrounded by a large
body of water, besides the abandoned twoleg bridge
that stretches from the mainland towards the island
the clan calls home.

The pure white she-cat was currently on the look out for some catmint that grew by the abandoned twoleg nest, as she walked under the trees, she could feel her pelt warm up from the warm sun as she continued along. After she had collected what she thought would be a good amount, she started on her way back to the camp, keeping her ears perked for any sounds that could come as dangerous.

The dark tom was currently laying in a patch of sun, his fur hot to the touch but he enjoyed it. He looked around camp a bit boredly, wondering when the next patrol would be so he could offer to join on it. The tom then flicked his tail in the dirt as he scanned the camp, looking to see if he found anyone interesting to talk to.

The queen had just awoken from a small nap, she then did a small groan as she went to sit up due to her rather large stomach filled with kits. Only a few more moons now.. The she-cat thought to herself as she waddled at the entrance of the den, looking out and soaking in the warm sun.

The dark apprentice was laying in the doorway of the apprentice den, he had gotten another nightmare and has been up since the dawn patrol had left this morning. The young apprentice let out a silent huff as he scanned the camp with his pale blue eyes, wondering where his mentor was. Although the tom didn't enjoy his mentor trying to talk to him, he actually enjoyed training to a degree.

xxxA russet red tom-cat perked outside his den, scanning the emptiness of his clans camp. Russetstar's eyes set on the warriors den patently waiting for a cat, any cat to peer our of the den, but not one cat walking out the den. Disappointed that he hasn't seen any cat up yet, and he had never been to fond of waking cats up from their sleep. He thought warriors needed their sleep as they have a long day ahead of them. Then again, they also needed to be up at sunrise. He stood up at the entrance of his den and scanning the camp once again before exiting his den.

xxxRussetstar was intended to head towards the warriors den, but his eyes focused on a cat who was sunbathing inside camp. For a moment, russestar felt bad that he hasn't noticed the tom-cat there, but he didn't see the cat in his peripheral as he was more focused on waiting for warriors to exit the den. The leader gave his shoulders a few licks so that I was presentable, and approached the tom-cat.

"evening, rowanfang." russetstar greeted him in a normal yet deep tone, "would you mind leading dawn patrol? You will be accompanied by Leafspot, and Cypressface. Make sure they take their apprentices along."

xxxHis eyes set, focused on his target. Digging his paws into the ground, the Tom began to creep up onto the target. Before he could get a few steps in, the target took off running. Confused of why it ran, twigpaw followed it. Maybe he stepped on a twig? but he didn't hear anything? Ducking under falling trees and dodging trees, he followed it towards the end of the bridge. The thing just stopped, and so did he. Twigpaw crouched down and pounced at what he though was a squirrel but when he lifted his paws there was nothing there. He tilted his head slightly and stood up scanning his surrounding.

xxxTwigpaw opening his eyes and found himself in the comfort of his own nest. Grunting, he stood up and stretched his front arms out before exiting the apprentice den. The tom-cat looked around for his mentor but there was no sign of him. Shrugging slightly, he flopped down in his place and rolled on his side until his mentor woke to give him orders.

"I'll make sure to grab Quailpaw and Silentpaw to accompany us on the patrol." The warrior said with another dip of his head before lifting it in search of the named cats. They must still be asleep, it is early. Rowanfang then excused himself before poking his head inside the warriors den, trying to spot the coats of his two fellow warriors. "Leafspot, Cypressface; you're called for patrol."

Mintfang awoke, but did not rise from her nest yet. Perhaps she should fetch her mate, from the warriors den and they could get pieces of prey toget- Right... It all came crashing back down. Oakleg. Taken by sickness. He was dead, and she couldn't do anything about it. She had hoped it was a dream. Instead of getting up and being an early riser like she usually was, she flipped back over, trying to ignore the slowly rising camp. Hopefully, everybody would ignore her, and she could just sleep all of today.
