John put his back to the cold wall and smiled.

Cheyenne looked up. "You can sit on the couch or anywhere." She murmured softly, curling up and pulling the covers over her.

"No I'm fine right here."John said smiling.

Cheyenne nodded, slowly drifting into a light sleep. She purred and twitched in her sleep.

John watched Cheyenne and sighed.He looked at his back and shook his head.

As Cheyenne slept, she lowly growled. She was dreaming but it was more like a nightmare. She had been caged, like a circus freak, and displayed for the public to see. She was in her human form but the whipped to shift panther. She hissed as the whip ripped threw her skin. She hissed and moaned.

John looked over at Cheyenne."She most be having a bad dream."he said.

Cheyenne jerked awake, her breathing fast and heavy. She shifted human and her fingers clutched the sheets.

"What's wrong?"John asked and tilted his head.
