Ino would definitely be a good insight on fursuiting as well as the DAD community as the owner of Skypro, so you have 2 birds with one stone there. Uncle Kage is always a go-to for furry representation in media and such. Any con staff member would be a good addition. TwilightSaint might be someone to try contacting, she has a lot of fursuiting and fursuit dancing experience.

1 - I don’t think it has much of an impact? We’re a small, recent group that most don't know about. The furry fandom could suddenly vanish and society as a whole wouldn’t notice much imo. There’s a difference between how society views furries and how furries actually impact society.

2 - A furry is anyone who identifies as such. Generally someone who likes creating/drawing furry ocs and has a general fondness of anthromorphic characters.

3 - I’ve always liked creating animal characters and it just grew from there. It’s great to go to cons and meet like-minded people and be able to fursuit. It’s also a very open and accepting community.

Hey I was thinking of finally making a fursuit head but wanna know what kind of foam materials for the bulk of the shaping I could use and where to buy them. Any tips?

I got finished pics of my commission! I'm super excited & I'll post some updates when I get it.
My maker is Ugolek studios, they take commissions and sell a lot of heads & partials on furbuy.

Also, this is going to be my first fursuit! So what should I know about care & cleaning of a partial suit? I don't want to end up as one of those suiters with a ton of gross matted fur.

I don't actually have my partial yet either, but from what I've seen,
it's good to brush your suit before and after every use ! a more
experienced suiter would be good to ask !!

It would be a good idea to invest in some fursuit spray so you can disinfect your head and such after you wear it. A slicker brush is good for brushing, just make sure you brush with the handle facing opposite the direction of the fur. Ask your maker what they recommend as far as washing the paws goes, it depends based on what they're made of.

DUDE THAT'S FREAKING AWESOME, I watched that video earlier and when I found out it was your first suit I was like daaaang, I hope I have those skills when I make my first suit lol-speaking of which do you have any tips?
