A soft sniffle catches your ear. Under the shade of a large oak tree, a small fawndoo is crying all alone. Good thing you stopped! I wonder what could be wrong?

This fawndoo had to leave their friends and family behind! To win them, explain why they had to leave, and who they miss the most!

Why did they leave, and who do they miss most?: Hutton actually wasn't the only one to leave. See, food had become scared amongst the colony. Apparently there was a limit to how much mourning sprites could feed. In this rare case, the population of this colony was too much for the mourning sprites. So, the colony decided that a group of Fawndoos would go search for a new place to settle. Hutton was one of the five chosen Fawndoos. The group had left and searched for three days before things had started to go wrong. The first group member died of starvation. The next two were killed by sickness. It was just Hutton and the other Fawndoo. This particular Fawndoo was named Swell. Hutton and Swell were childhood friends and the voyage they were currently on had only made them closer. Several days passed before it happened. The two had arrived to a field and on the other side was a forest where they could smell an overwhelming abundance of mourning sprites. Hutton, who was overjoyed that they had finally found a new home, ran into the open. Little did the little creature know that a predator was looming close by, waiting for this kind of opportunity. A large shadow suddenly loomed over the small creature. Looking up, Hutton found themselves cowering under the glaring eyes of a human, and by the looks of it, a hunter. Hutton froze, unable to move from fear. Things seemed go into slow motion after that. The hunter's hand reached for the fawndoo and just as it was going to grab Hutton, something pushed them out of the way. Hearing a small squeal, Hutton looked back and saw the hunter had grabbed Swell. The two small creatures locked eyes and even though Hutton wanted to save Swell, the other fawndoo, it was clear that Hutton had to run. Sprinting as fast as their little legs could carry them, Hutton took shelter under a tree. They could feel hot tears form in their eyes. Hutton already missed Swell so much. Of course, they blamed themselves for what had happened. They wanted to ditch the whole mission and look for Swell. Hutton knew the colony's fate was on them though.

Why did they leave, and who do they miss most?: they left home because it was being invaded by an enemy or predditor. they miss their older sibling the most, who's name is Mercious; mercious is blind (because of an older attack from the predditor) but they are also very brave and protects their younger sibling.

Why did they leave, and who do they miss most?: They had to leave because of the numerous attacks by Lucro on Allos Kósmos. They are currently in Kovanin, another world far from Allos Kósmos. They miss their grandma the most out of all of her family.

"Why did they leave, and who do they miss most?"

cold. the only thing to flood your senses. a bitter, biting cold - the kind from children's stories, once thought exaggerated and impossible. but this, these frozen needles etching frost into your fur. this was very real.
you couldn't really remember how long you were out in this swirling vortex of a blizzard, long enough your innocent tears would turn to iced streaks making their way down your face, long enough you couldn't tell your cloven hooves from the blankets of sparkling snow. long enough to forget your destination. all you could do was trudge forward.

why were you even here? testing your life against the unrelenting winds. you tried desperately to remember.
you could recall the scent of smoke, suffocating wisps clouding overhead. you could remember a voice, soothing, aged, yet hurried. urging you forward. you missed those delicate words, so beautiful and well meaning. and you missed her. the mother you never had, an ancient to dispense all the wisdom in the world. a tree spirit.

you weren't in her care by saddening means. perhaps it was a mother, a father, an elder.. someone who would leave you to be her apprentice. to be her own. perhaps as a disciple, perhaps as a scholar, perhaps as a witch of the land. you never knew her intentions. still, she gave you home.
and it was her, her who pushed you to the cold, her who whispered for you to run, to leave her to wither. she was rooted to the place of course, a tree in essence, so you were to make your journey alone.
you still couldn't understand why you had to leave. you are but a child, though perhaps you were never meant to know.

a faint glow snapped you back to reality. you could see lamplight in the distance, almost feeling the warmth radiating from it. and even though your frostbitten limbs ached, you hobbled your way to the source, for you had finally met your destination. and you were the closest to home you've been in a good, long while
