The 3ds has been out for a really long time (since 2011!)... honestly I'm glad its dying, it's time to move on so we can have better features and frame rates. And no I'm not saying that because I have a switch. I probably won't have one for a few years.

Edit: also I wouldn't jump to switch right away. They might come up with a more cost effective version or make a Pokémon themed switch at some point like they did with 3ds.

Classification: Sea Snare Pokemon
Entry: [Name] lays at the bottom of the sea, disguised as seaweed. When other Pokemon go towards it for what they believe is a snack, it attacks ferociously with its thorns. It can be found nesting with Dragalge, and they often hunt together.

i'm thinking dark/water or something along those lines. dark/something- maybe bolsters dragalgae's typings by balancing it out?

I do like the Dark typing, but I want to do something unique, what do you think about Poison/Dark?

This type of thing kinda makes me think of Toxapex vaguely. I think poison/dark is fitting (perhaps with a pre-evolution that’s water/poison like Skrelp)
For names, maybe Seawary? I can’t think of anything else

Does anyone happen to have a female HA totodile they they are willing to trade? I am breeding for a high iv one but only have a HA male and it's proving impossible to breed a female haha
