For one of her position, it is easy to assume Dumpling is like the stereotypical vision of a guardian—stoic, intense, the strong and silent type with an edge of awesomeness. Of course, with a name like Dumpling, that can be a little difficult to accomplish. In fact, she’s rather almost the exact opposite. Funloving, outgoing, and entirely too energetic, Dumpling is absolutely everyone’s friend. A loving creature, once you’re her friend, she’d practically die for you, and she wants to be everyone’s friend (except for Sigmund). She takes her position seriously, but why be too serious when there’s fun to be had in life? Her loyalties will always lie with what is good and right, and she will never abandon someone in need.

I used to get tales from her mother about her plans on having a viscling before I had to take a break, so I was excited to return when it's time for Aadya to hold the ceremony to wake me up! I mean, yeah, there was a small mess up with the ceremony and I refused to wake up initially. I'll tell you all about it later! After that mess, I didn't hesitate to return to my duty! Why wouldn't I? I have been dreaming to be guardian for Aadya for so long! It's kind of against for guardians like me to be this close of a friend with someone they're supposed to protect.. but it's modern times! Aadya is the head of dynasty now, she decides things!! To sum it up, Aadya is my best friend!!!

I mean yeah. She wasn't nice before, she was mostly nice to only me. She had this sort of thing where she thinks she has to be cold and kind of mean because she's the head of dynasty. It wasn't my job to give advice, my job is to stay at her side loyally, and protect her. So I was patient enough to wait for someone to come along, someone who could do what I couldn't. I'm really glad she met Nixsandre!!"

Close Friend wrote:"Nixsandre.. where do I even begin!! I DIDN'T TRUST HIM, at first. I mean sure he saved me, but he was still a criminal, and anyone that's sent to Silvmor is even more than just a criminal! Aadya brought him home, and seemed like she was in love. It was first time I ever seen her really smile to anyone that's not me, so if she trusts him, I trust her. After a while, I got to know Nixy more, and heard some stories from Aadya. Turns out he was an innocent, aside from killing few out of self defense, he never killed anyone when he was young, just had blame placed on him.

I like him now, though!! He's fun to be silly with, and he understands the whole losing parents situation. We relate to eachother a lot, and I really like him with Aadya. He definitely helped her become a better leader, and she helped him with his mental health. While I wish I could do that, but there's a difference between a guardian and mates."

Close Friends wrote:"I LOVE THESE TWO. I knew them when they were young. I don't really want to get into it too much.. it's kind of painful, but when I lost my home; they saved me. If nobody had shook me out of my shock, I would have died in the fire. I mean, it sort of sucks to be the last original guardian known in existence, but I'm really grateful to be alive. I used to play with them all the time when I was on brief breaks, or allowed to. It was sort of another guardian job, they were young, and I felt inclined to return the favor and protect them. Both of them shared the same dreams; so of course, I encouraged them!! I don't see them much anymore because of that, and I'm not upset. I'm glad they were able to chase their dreams!

We still write to eachother. I mostly get stories about their jobs, viscets they met, what they were working on, and such. Daisuke is a pilot, and Hana is a builder with painter on the side. Daisuke doesn't write much anymore these days, but Hana doubles the letters as if shes taking his place. I understand though, piloting is a harder and busier job, but I miss talking to Sake.. I wish he'd write a letter or two once in a while."

I just consider them friends because they saved my life.. or at least tried to. It was messy when it happened, but thankfully she was there to help me forcibly change my curse into magic. It was a wild, but exhausting experience! Without her, I would not have woken up or even survived. We're pretty much indebted to her! I wish she at least smiled for the picture though! "No time for that", she said! OF COURSE, THERE'S ALWAYS TIME FOR PICTURES!!!

As for Wicker, I love him! He's a silly butt!! I wish I could have gotten to know him better, the only time I spoke to him is when he's not interpreting Harlow's signs. Yeah!! Normally you'd think one of the most powerful witch in world would have her voice, but Harlow lost hers. She says she learned how to get around it. POWERFUL WITCH, I TELL YOU!"

He was corrupting her, she'd became colder the longer she spent time with him. Then he just knocks her off the cliff?? Claimed it was an accident?? Maybe it was, but being ill-temper is no accident, he should have controlled his anger, even if it's not directed at her. I'm only thankful that they had a picnic on a cliff that's has short distance drop or else she would have died. I have never spoken a word to him, or had him talk to me since then, and I refuse to say a word to him again. He doesn't deserve my time or trust. I also heard that Sigmund still loves Aadya? I will do everything in my power to prevent him from attempting to corrupt her again, she doesn't deserve the pain."

Story of Soyo Forest Fire

Postby fromage » Tue Feb 27, 2018 2:08 pm

The heat licked my fur, bit at my paws, but I could not move. My home, Soyo Forest was set ablaze, every single Guardians scattered when it first started. When it begun spreading, lots of them laid down and embraced their death. Those were ones that had nobody to protect, no duty yet. I had nobody to protect either, families don't count, nor the forest. The Forest Lord was responsible of keeping the home safe for my people, and yet, where are they?

I could only watch the fire envelop the forest, the greenest of leaves disappearing in favor of being charred. I'm frozen in place, I don't know what to do. I relied on my parents, I'm still young, and yet, I can't find them. I had grew up in this forest, got to know everyone, and now the comfort of it is being demolished by a simple fire. A touch on my leg startles me, but I can't tear away from the fire to see whom it belonged to. The flames were beckoning me to join Guardians in their death.

I feel another touch, two viscets, younger than I am. I could feel the smallest of their paws, and their height. The paws moved to mine, urging me to follow by a small pull. Their shrill voices filled my head, shouting at me to stop staring at the fire. Finally I relented, I turn at their pull. In front of me, I see two young viscets, correct to my assumption. Their eyes filled with hope, and concern, the desire to save me. I cannot see why, I am an empty husk now. I lost my family, my home, and what else do I have going for me now?

Before I realized, I'm now at a park, sat in the snow, and more are being piled on my shoulders. An attempt to cool me down. I blink my eyes to draw myself back into reality more, a youngling is asking questions but it doesn't register still. The only thing that registers is those kids had came and saved me. One gets up from the snow, and I leap to my legs, knocking the snow off in process. I'm scared that they're going to leave me, I've had enough of loss today. A different voice reassures me, letting me know of their plans to get food for me.

I move back down to lie in the snow. I'm exhausted. I feel a touch on my muzzle as I close my eyes, stroking oh so gently, comforting me. I feel my body getting lighter as I start to drift off into slumber, the stroking is effective in helping me embrace the sleep. The scent of food reaches my nose before I'm able to fully fall asleep, I recognize it as porridge. There was a new voice, expressing their concern for me, a mother.

Soon as I felt the end of the spoon make contact with my mouth, I lick the contents off to eat. I repeat the process for much as they are willing to feed me. The food is warm in my stomach, comforting me more. I ate few spoonfuls before the world became dark, last thing I feel is the continuous stroking to my muzzle.

Next thing I woke up to was warmth, softness. I realize I'm covered with a blanket and resting on a bed. A new viscet enters the room, dressed quite elegantly. A peach dress adorning her shape, her ears donned dangling earrings.

"Oh thank lucky stars," she says as she stroked my mane, smiling gleefully at me, "I'm so glad you're alright." She moves away to pile another soft blanket on top of me.

"When I'd heard of Soyo Forest being set ablaze, my heart dropped. We have several of Guardians in our dynasty in the past, to imagine there would be no Guardians any longer is heart wrenching. I'm so happy to know at least one is still alive. Honey, what is your name?"

After few moments of silence, I finally spoke up; "..Dumpling, Dumpling Yuu."

The Dumpling Statue

Postby fromage » Tue Feb 27, 2018 2:09 pm

Image

The Dumpling Statue is often the famous landmark, empty pedestal or not. It represented the new era for Guardians, almost everyone who went to Ganu country knew all about it. In the past, normally Guardians don't take breaks, just worked until they retired after three hundred years, or two hundred if the load is unbearable. Sidhu dynasty, the leader of Ganu, took it upon themselves to create a new method to keep the last original guardian known in existence stay. Simply by letting her turn into a stone statue as a break for twenty years, then a ceremony will be held to wake her up.

The infamous Soyo Forest Fire story had made a huge impact on the Nuyiare Village, nobody still could find the culprit that set it ablaze. A lot of the folk take it upon themselves to protect Dumpling whenever she's a statue, to prevent the culprit from returning and smashing it. Some take it far to even set up a camp nearby and take turns. Some wait nearby with a sword. It wasn't just the Sidhu dynasty that were determined to find who dared to set the forest, home to Guardians, on fire. The forest has long been changed it's name to Kimura Park, believing the deceased Guardians will watch over the younglings if they're feeling nostalgic.

The ceremony is very simple, the village gathered to put offerings around the statue. It can be the absolute favorite, hot Porridge, or child's drawings, bells, other stuff like that. It doesn't begin right away, there would be an entire village silence to give Dumpling a moment to slowly wake up before a chant is begun to fully pull her out of the slumber. The chant isn't complicated either, it went like this; "Dumpling Yuu, Dumpling Yuu, return to us, return to us", along with ringing bells. The head or heir of Sidhu has to be there, or the ceremony wouldn't work. Of course, Dumpling has every right not to return, although it never happened since the Guardian is very devoted to her duty.

The Ceremony

Postby fromage » Tue Feb 27, 2018 2:12 pm

"You can now place the offerings down at the base" Aadya clapped her paws, watching as the village folk gathered around the Dumpling statue, placing their offerings at the base of pedestal. The scent of hot porridge filled the air, the children's glee as they placed their drawings, and the quiet chatter of village elders who had placed charms to ensure luck and safety. The heir of Sidhu dynasty gracefully floated down into a sitting position on her satin pillow, tail curling around herself; folks following suit and took a seat on their own pillows. With the heir and village folk seated, they created a circle around the statue. There was a moment of silence before the chant began.

"Dumpling Yuu, Dumpling Yuu, return to us."

"Return to us, Dumpling Yuu, return to us."

"Dumpling Yuu, Dumpling Yuu, return to us."

The stone didn't crack, nor did it make any noise. Silence befalls everyone once again, in a quiet wonder of why the ceremony didn't work. They had followed the ceremony perfectly, the offerings, the silence, and lastly the chant. It didn't take long for the questions to begin; "is Dumpling retiring?", "Is Aadya a fake Sidhu?", "Did Dumpling decide to abandon her duty?", and many more. Soon enough, concern filled the heir's head, prompting her to stand up and leave.

Aadya flew through her home, hastily making her way upstairs to her bedroom. She gently moved a maid away from her wardrobe, pulling the doors open. She then pulled the drawers to take boxes out, she had an item she needed in one of these.

"Come on, where did I put it?" She grumbled to herself, rifling through the boxes. So many trinkets she'd given or found. She had forgotten where she'd put the tiny, odd-shaped vial. She held up an embroidered coin bag, tossing it behind her. It'd made a small noise that wouldn't line up with a bunch of coins. She threw a look over her shoulder, quickly reaching out to grab it back. She snapped it open, standing up suddenly as she pulled out the vial she had been looking for. It was filled with lavender liquid that seemed to sparkle, wrapped in an ivy.

      Quickly she grabbed the bowl that held her jewelry, emptying the contents, not caring if those accessories were expensive or fragile. She dumped the liquid of the vial in place of the jewelry, blowing on it from a side to get it to begin swirling. She waited patiently, hoping it wouldn't stop swirling and turn violet to indicate the call didn't go through or picked up. Thankfully, a voice came through;

"This is Wicker, interpreting for Harlow, how can we help you?"

"It's Aadya! I held the ceremony today, and Dumpling didn't wake up. Now there are questions, and I just need help seeing what's wrong with her. It might be serious." She grabbed hold of the bowl when the liquid began vibrating, sparkling brighter, setting it down on the floor. The whiteness exploded throughout the room for a second, prompting her to cover her eyes with her arm.

When it became less blindingly bright, she moved her arm down to find Harlow and Wicker standing there. It's always good to make connections and stay on good side with one of the powerful witches in the world. The help will come in an instant.

When prompted by a paw up gesture from Harlow, Aadya left her room with a beckon of her own paw, and quickly headed for Dumpling's statue, the witch following behind. They walked past the village folk who had started moving away from the statue; looking at them in wonder. The heir gestured at the statue soon as they reached their destination, the base wasn't easily seen due to the offerings. The first thing the purple viscet did was to sweep her paw over the offerings before snapping it back as if she had been burned. Her paws then moved in a rapid succession to sign to the heir, Wicker interpreting.

"There's something vile in the offerings, I can't pinpoint which one it is. There's too many. However, I can try entering Soul Field and communicate with Dumpling. Hopefully doing so will help us find the item." Wicker finished right when the witch placed a paw on top of Guardian's stone one, without any of agreement from Aadya; Harlow knows she would agree without any need to voice a word.

The heir watched as the witch slumped down in a slumber, Wicker falling unceremoniously against the ground before anyone could even catch him. Her body was empty, Harlow is in Soul Field now, and only thing Aadya could do now is to wait.

Dumpling's Return

Postby fromage » Wed Feb 28, 2018 9:16 am

Harlow blinked her eyes open, nodding to herself to confirm that her entrance to Soul Field worked. Instead of where she was, this place was an endless field covered by thick fog, you could barely see anything but silhouettes. The purple viscet pushed through the meddling spirits who thought she was there for them, seeking for the help. She had no time to spare; if Dumpling remained in this dimension any longer, it will become permanent. The darker silhouette appeared through the fogs, turning its head to make eye contact with the witch.

"Dumpling Yuu, is that you?" Harlow had Wicker ask, sometimes there are some creatures that mimicked appearances. She had to be sure first.

The viscet in question bounced forward with an excited expression. Yes, this is the Dumpling, tan pelt, brown mane and firework-like markings. The excited bounce, but it was more short than normal, which Harlow sensed she was tense.

"Oh man, Harlow and Wicker!! I'm so glad you two are here! Did Aadya send you?" Dumpling asked, and continued at witch's nod, "okay so. I'm sorry! I didn't wake up because like, there's a cursed object? I can feel it, but I don't know what it is? Do you know?"

Harlow begins to move her paws, Wicker interpreting, and Dumpling watched intently.

"Yes, I could feel the cursed object as well, but I can't tell what it is. Can you feel the sensation, the shape, anything that can help us figure out what it is, perhaps?"

"I don't know.. it feels heavy and large? My body feels heavy, I feel nauseous. Does that help?"

The witch smiled, nodding. She was certain it helped, she had seen an ebony crystal as an offering, it should be that. After being thanked by Dumpling, and saying their brief goodbyes; Harlow dematerialized out.

Harlow stood up from her slumping position with a groan, Soul Field tend to take a lot of energy out, and she doesn't plan on returning. Wicker complicated about his pain from falling roughly against the ground, but she ignored him and looked through the offerings. Huh, a tree bark? That's an odd offering. Although, on top of it is the ebony crystal. She lifted it off, and it indeed is heavy, it was almost long as her arm. She heaved it few feet away from the statue to drop it in the bushes before returning to the statue.

      "Was it the crystal?"

"Most likely." Wicker responded without any prompting from the witch, who had her paws on Dumpling's again to encourage her to return. Few moments of silence almost left them stumped, but thankfully; the stone began cracking and chipping away as the Guardian began to make motions to return to real world.

Soon as she was completely back, she immediately fell off of her pedestal in pain, curling up on the ground. Without any of second of hesitation, Aadya and Harlow were at her side.

"I-it feels like I'm burning up, it hurts. It hurts so bad." The Guardian wailed, rolling over on her other side, squirming. Her body felt like she was being scorched alive, the feeling was no different from a long time ago when Soyo Forest was on fire. The touches on her back from Aadya doesn't help, the healing sensation from Harlow didn't either.

      As a final resort, Harlow began signing a phrase repeatedly;

"Embrace it, embrace the fire. Take control of it, make it turn against itself. Embrace it."

Dumpling tried her hardest, she didn't know how to exactly embrace it, and Harlow was just repeating it. The viscet clutched at her chest, squeezing her eyes shut as she tried to get used to the scorching sensation before concentrating on making it a part of her by repeating words in her head.

It's me, fire is who I am, the fire has nothing on me because it's me, I am the fire.

"W-woah! Woah!" Aadya exclaimed, touching Guardian's mane, "Dumpling! Your mane!! It's changing colors! Your body too! Even your eyes!!"

Dumpling looked up at the heir confusingly, then raised her paw to her face, and sure enough. It was changing colors quickly instead of normal brown it used to be. Suddenly it stopped at yellow. She then felt a burning sensation again, but from external, and it became bigger as if to cover her in it like a shroud. She couldn't see both of Aadya or Harlow anymore, and when the fire went away by itself, she wasn't in Nuyiare Village anymore.

Aadya stared at the empty ground in front of her in shock, then up at Harlow, her expression seemed to ask questions. In response, the witch stood up to move her paws over the offerings once more. Soon as she reached the tree bark, she snapped back and rubbed her paws as she frowned. Wicker waited for her to sign, then gave up; he knew what needed to be said.

"What is this? A tree bark?"

The heir stood up as well to take a look at what they were talking about. A.. partially burned tree bark? She picked it up gingerly, feeling the texture before she gasped. Her paws gripping into the wood in anger, scowl painting her face.

      "This is from Soyo Forest."

"Mm, then someone must have kept it, cursed it, left it as an offering in attempt to assassinate Dumpling." Wicker interpreted the witch's signings, "if I had to add; it might be the same culprit that set the forest on fire."

Aadya frowned even more, letting out a snarl. "You find Dumpling, I will track down this culprit. I'm not letting them walk around free any longer. Arson, murder, fleeing justice and now attempted assassination." She let out exasperated sigh, turning around to storm back to her home. She have to gather search party to track this fugitive down and ship them to Silvmor.

Harlow nodded once at the command, enveloping herself in purple smoke to teleport to where the Guardian is.

Flaming Discovery

Postby fromage » Fri Mar 02, 2018 12:45 am

Dumpling jumped up, looking around to try to get her bearings, it was someplace she doesn't recognize. Sand under her paws, ocean breeze, the humidity. A purple puff of smoke startled her but turns out it was Harlow teleporting in, who was signing in rapid succession once more. The Guardian huffed, knowing that the witch is going to throw a lot of information without pausing.

"By embracing the fire, you have gained the ability of Pyroportation. Which is to simplify, teleporting through fire.. Normally you need fire nearby to be able to teleport, but there's none near us. Which I'm assuming yellow color is simply your soul. You make your own fire through it, which would be colored yellow. I'm also assuming if you make marks on each location, your colors will change to match the locations." Harlow paused to light a nearby wood on fire, "teleport back to Aadya, then try coming back here."

This was too much at once, the feeling was alike to Soyo Forest Fire, but she can't let herself be frozen, and need rescuing anymore. So she concentrated on thinking about Aadya, watching her paws start a yellow fire, her paw pads became stone-like and heavy as the fire grew to cover her body. Another moment of not being able to see anything again before she's in front of a relieved Aadya. Dumpling gave an apologetic look, luckily the heir knew what she meant without needing words, nodding as if to give permission.

She concentrated again, blinking in surprise along with Aadya as the fire became red, but she let it happen. As usual, in seconds she was in a new place. It.. it doesn't look like anything she's used to. Crumbling buildings, vegetation, worse, dead bodies. Can her fire even travel her through time? She made a note of the growing fire in the distance, then few viscets ran after it as if it was to plan. Molotovs or something. Easily, all of them noticed the stranger watching them. It wasn't hard to notice her, she stood strikingly bright compared to filthy, hooded viscets.

"Hey, you! Who are you!" One of them shouted with threat lacing his voice, and Dumpling just ran. Wherever this is, it's not a fun place! She tried to teleport herself out of there but it wasn't working, maybe she shouldn't be running or losing focus. She can't just stop though, not after seeing an arrow zip past her head. She whimpered at the noise of fighting behind her, assuming some other group found them and attacked. She had to get out of here! She can't die here, if she did, who's to protect Aadya?! She let out a yelp when another arrow went past her head once more.

She squeaked loudly as she felt someone grab her arm and drag her into some building. The viscet slammed the door shut and barricading it with a bookshelf nearby. She flew up the stairs, not stopping until she made to the sixth floor, just to get away from whoever it was. He probably wanted her for himself, and she wasn't having it. A look outside the window provided her with unpleasant sight, explosives, fires, full-on war. Wait.. she remembered being told of something like this.. was this the lawless lands, home for criminals and fugitives; Silvmor?! Oh no. She really HAD to get out of here!

"Wait! My name's Nixsandre! Don't be afraid, I'm not hurting anyone like you." The tattered, satin cape wearing viscet assured upon entering the room, barricading another door with a desk table. He approached the window, looking out to see if the group walked away or not. He waved his hand to inform Dumpling that she was safe. The Guardian stared at the viscet intently, not sure if she should teleport or not.

"Seriously! Go! I saw you teleporting in with fire or something, you don't belong here. Go!" He shouted as both of them heard thundering pawsteps, scaling the stairs without slowing down.

The Guardian nodded rapidly and tried to concentrate on getting back to Aadya, or at least Harlow. Soon as her paws started a green fire, she heard the noises coming closer and closer, she tried to ignore it in favor of teleporting. The door slammed open, easily sending the desk away to make contact with a wall. A large looking viscet roared at her savior, then lunged at the viscet on fire.

Dumpling slumped onto the ground, a sandy ground, oh thank lucky stars. She's back. She's back. Her chest wasn't liking it for some reason, but she felt the healing sensation on it, looking up to see Harlow working on healing her chest. It was closing up the wound that bled green.. weird. She always had white blood before, does pyroportation affect her blood as well?

"Did I get slashed before I teleported? Is that possible?" She asked, feeling her chest when the witch was done healing it. There were some bald lines but with some fluffing should hide it. It stung though, she didn't even feel being slashed until Harlow brought it to her awareness.

"Yeah, probably. Where did you go?" Wicker asked as Harlow signed; needing a serious conversation to further figure out her ability and what it can do.

      "I.. I don't know. Silvmor?"

"Silvmor?! What color was your fire when you teleported?"

"Red. It was red, makes sense, right?"

"It does. Next time; if a fire of that color starts, just stop, and try to concentrate on something else.."

Dumpling nodded in agreement. It was for the best, if she went to Silvmor the second time around, she'll probably die. Nixsandre probably won't be around to save her. She was exhausted though, it was too much teleporting and it overwhelmed her. She needed to go back to Aadya; fortunately, Harlow sensed her turmoil. Instead of making her teleport, the witch teleported both of them back to Nuyiare Village. She was immediately wrapped up in a hug, to which she returned the gesture.

"I'm sorry, Aadya-" Dumpling began but the heir cut her off.

"Don't be. This new ability might make you even more useful, and I am grateful for that at least." Aadya smiled, ruffling her friend's mane. It had been a long day, and it was the only first day she with Dumpling as her official guardian. Which hinted at more exhaustive days in the future, but she wasn't complaining. It would be better than sitting around doing nothing but to make orders. Maybe they'll even go on adventures, or have one day vacations.

Impressions

Postby fromage » Fri Mar 02, 2018 12:46 am

Dumpling whittled a stick carefully, humming to herself while she watched the bits of wood fly off upon pressure of a blade. She had nothing to do, she was alone in the house, and everyone had their parties at the Kimura Park. Aadya was out with Sigmund somewhere. She couldn't go because she had to protect the house from any possible burglary, but she didn't mind. She liked having an alone time sometimes. She didn't like that the heir was with Aeoria leader, it was an obvious corruption, but she wasn't an advisor.

She snapped out of her concentration when she noticed her paws changing colors from yellow to blue, then pawpads hardening into a stone. Rironk? Why would her body desire to go to such a cold land? It's an almost never-ending blizzard, snow up to tail, and no shelter for miles. Might it be a warning? She placed her stick and knife down beside to let the fire happen. As usual, the fire covered any sight of environment for a moment before it faded away, revealing a new sight.

Dumpling hasn't ever been here since the ceremony incident, only once to make a mark, but she didn't feel cold. Which makes sense, she's practically always on fire these days. Or, her soul, as Harlow said. She looked around to understand where she is, noticing a cliff a mile away that had two viscets on top of it. She recognized both as Aadya and Sigmund, on a date, maybe? The wing were draped over the heir to keep her warm. Why was she brought here, then? They looked like they were doing alright. She took few steps forward but remained hidden in the snow-covered foliage to watch for a while.

She noticed one of Sigmund's servant; Peregrine run up to him, talking about something. An information that seemingly angered him, causing him to stand up with his wings outstretched. Aadya standing up as well, pushing herself up to look over his wing curiously. Soon as Dumpling saw the viscet turn around with his wings still outstretched, she bounced forward fast as she could, but she was too late. She watched in horror as the wing made a heavy impact that sent her friend off the cliff and onto the rocky slope; bringing her down to the ground in a rough roll. It was a small drop, a couple of stories high, but it clearly caused so much harm.

"Aadya!" She shouted, closing the distance rapidly best as she could with thick mass of snow in her way, to check on Aadya. She had gained few scrapes and cuts, her dress was ripped as well, her mane were messed up. Dumpling rose to snarl at the viscet that floated down to their level, clearly sharing the same concern for the viscet on the ground. She never met this guy face to face, and he already left a horrible impression.

"Do not come closer." The Guardian snarled again, standing in front of her unconscious friend, protecting her, "don't. You don't have the right."

"I didn't mean to! I was just-" Sigmund tried, knowing he'd messed up big time, but she wasn't having any of it.

"Just angry? How about you put a lid on it?"

"I mean, I thought she was still sitting-"

"Stop with the excuses! You are dangerous to Aadya if you can't control your anger!" Dumpling hissed out, ears folding back as she stomped her paw in the snow, sending flurrying out the snow with the impact.

"U-um, he really didn't mean to.." A voice from above spoke up in attempt to diffuse her anger. The viscet looked afraid, mostly by Sigre, not her.

"Shut up Peregrine! We all know he meant it if he wanted to be angry." She yelled up, then scowled at Sigmund, "And you, if you loved her; you would have learned to control your anger! Did you think she would stay at your side obligingly even if you hurt her? Maybe she would, but I refuse to let her feel that way! She doesn't deserve that!!"

Dumpling leaned down to hold onto her friend's head as she enveloped them in orange fire when she saw the winged viscet trying to come closer with his paw outstretched, as if he'd planned to grab her. "Heed my warning, seriously." She finalized with a threat lacing her voice before everything disappeared, replaced with the safety of Aadya's room.

The Guardian hurried to carry Aadya to her bed after shouting for help. She moved out of the way for two maids slash nurses, allowing them to tend to the injured heir. She was furious. She should have been there or moved faster so she could catch Aadya. More, Sigmund could have flown down or something. He was quicker than her. Did he wait or something? Because then that's awful, just downright terrible.

Peregrine had no part, she knew that he never wanted to be a servant at the start. He was conned and corrupted by Sigre, all the more reason to hate him. She wasn't an advisor, it's not her job, but she'll see to it that Aadya stops meeting up with the leader, and make her cut frequent contact. Or else there would be further injury than a small drop, and then Dumpling will refuse to hesitate to do more than threatening words.

"Dumpling..?" Aadya spoke up groggily, shifting as the maids undressed her to replace her torn dress with comfier sleepwear and to tend to her injuries.

"Oh, yeah? I'm here." The Guardian reached out to take heir's outstretched paw, squeezing it softly.

      "Thank you."

"Oh I.. I was just doing my duty to protect you, but you're welcome."

Aadya smiled at that, shaking her head. She pulled her friend closer, "silly, I know you did it because we're best friends, not just your duty as the Guardian. I partially heard the words you said, I appreciate that. I appreciate you."

Dumpling sniffled, bowing her head to nudge at the heir's, trying her best not to cry. She couldn't help the tremors though, seeing Aadya fall like that was a nightmare sight to experience.

"I know you were scared, Sigmund truly is a scary man when he wants to be, even when he doesn't realize it. But you did wonderful, and as I said, your ability came useful today. I'm proud of you." Aadya's other paw came up to stroke Guardian's soft mane, comforting her through her tremors.

Fire Location Guide

Postby fromage » Fri Mar 16, 2018 9:38 am

      Image Red
Red is the color Dumpling avoids the most; it leads to the most horrible land in Aeoria, Silvmor. Silvmor is, to say simply, lawless. There are no laws, no crimes, no consequences, a land fit for criminals. Even the innocent may choose of their own free will to enter the lawless land, they just can't return. Ever. It is led by Erin Mayfie, the woman without empathy, she will ensure that nobody can leave. If timed right, leaving is rarely possible.

      Image Orange
Orange is the most frequent color used, it leads to Ganu country or specifically, Nuyaire Village, her home. It's an exotic country, led by current heir of Sidhu dynasty; Aadya Sidhu. The country is known for their inspiration of Asia in human planet, it's a quite a bit of vacation spot too. It's also a very beautiful and peaceful place for a forever home, if not vacation. Plentiful of interesting cuisine to try, relaxing onsen, and quirky products.

      Image Yellow
Yellow is just Dumpling, there's no specific location for this color. To explain it easier; she's able to teleport anywhere with yellow. Literally any place if her concentration is strong enough, except for not accessible places that is. Any distance too, she can choose to teleport room to room, or whole another side of the world. Even in middle of ocean, on top of a mountain. With that said; if her concentration is weak, it's possible that the teleportation may end up injuring her with the fall, being trapped, or other incidents.

      Image Green
A bit of favorite for Dumpling, green leads to Trilet Shore. A beach with expanse shore, raised cliff to jump off and into the water for enjoyment. While the ocean doesn't seem clean, with it's light blue-green coloring, it is clean. The beach is known for infamous Tilo family who had lived there since the beginning. They're a quite large family and very, very welcoming. Dumpling always liked to come here to relax, chat with the locals, and collect crabs for dinner. It's speculated that she goes there for another reason as well, she's much closer to Nikau Tilo than anybody else in the shore. It's purely a speculation, though.

      Image Aqua
This color strangely leads to nothing as of now, even if attempted; it just doesn't work. Harlow assumes it might be some new place that doesn't exist yet; seeing that Pyroportation ability also sees the future without Dumpling knowing at times. It might be middle of ocean, an small island, or whole new dimension, who knows. Time will tell.

      Image Blue
This color leads to Rironk, the extremely freezing land, snow up to hind legs, never-ending blizzard, no refuge for miles. It's not recommend to traverse this land without any sort of survival gear, or a companion. This land is also known for it's vacation spot; Polaris Lodge, run by Uzomi Novak, There are free hot chocolate upon arrival, provided by The Honeybee Bakery; run by the mother of Uzomi, Atticus Novak. The rate here is quite cheap, it has a lot of things you need. Daycare, cabins, spa, sauna, indoor pool, the list goes on. WIth that being said, often Rironk is only visited for the lodge, not for exploration.

      Image Purple
Dumpling uses this color once in a while, it leads to Ou'Aorares, a country full of magic. It's suspected that Harlow Dread is the leader but nothing is proven yet. Harlow often would help Dumpling learn more about her newfound ability, and explore the possibilities of Pyroportation. Dumpling doesn't quite like staying here for too long, but the reason is unknown, she doesn't even realize the reason of her discomfort.
