I just came up with this cool idea for a roleplay game/skill building exercise, anyone want to do it with me?
I was thinking I'd put my MP3 on shuffle and whatever song plays, that person who got it had to make-up a character inspired by it.
It could be any kind of character, human or animal, any kind of genre. Any age, any species and any gender. Just has to tie in with the song.
And then when we're done we post it here to see how they turned out. xD

That sounds like an excellent idea to me; mind if I take a spin with it? I'm very interested as to how detailed the characters will be. . .

Name: Daniella Drewson.
Age: Twenty-Two Years Old.
Gender: Female.
Orientation: Straight with an occasional one-night-exception.
Place of Origins: Las Vegas, Nevada. Ethnic Background - Barbados, certain area undefined.
Species: Human.
Genre of Character: Performer - Lounge Room Singer.
Personality: Being a performer Daniella can rub off as slightly snobby, she'll have to have short needs fulfilled or else she'll get cranky - quickly. But outside of her performing persona, such as on the streets, Daniella proceeds to act independent and takes slightly ghetto style of interacting. She's a feisty one, ready to pick fights with the other girls at the flick of a wrist. But she won't fight with males partly because she's afraid of their strength, but also because she'd rather be on their good side for future romances. She's a dominant with everyone still, but will show it to the guys instead with her choice of harsh words.
She's not the settling down type and would rather be with a few guys for short periods of time and then move on. She's not afraid to break it off, and it usually will come back to haunt her with later males.

Favorite type of RP: I love mostly humanoid role plays that are based on books, but I would be willing to join any animal role plays. The role plays that I excel in the most would be humanoid RPs, though.
Sample of writing:
Zael watched after Lily as she made it to the Big House with the others. He was feeling left out, as always; left in the dark and the black. Since he wasn't a Head Counselor, he never had any idea about what was going to happen until it actually started. With a sigh, he took his key out of his pocket, and looked at it through sad pale blue eyes. He never knew why he would always keep the key with him if it only brought out painful memories, but he just couldn't part with it. It was almost as if a part of him nowadays. He slowly put it back in his pocket, and looked into the fire once again. Looking down, he saw a light shining through his pocket with the key in it, and Zael swiftly snatched the ancient skeleton key, and gaped at the light it was putting gaped; it was glowing. Slowly, realization hit him like a truck, and he started to sprint off in the direction of the Big House, not even acknowledging Jeremy, Shay, and Zach who were most likely eavesdropping. Zael arrived in the rec room at a loss for breath, his eyes panicked. "I have to go on this quest." He said, breathlessly, holding out his key.

Name: Faith LeNolc James (Lol, I'm so awesome. It's alright though, that was almost my name.)

Genre of character: Not really sure what to put here.

Personality: Faith is a very hearty character, ready and willing to pursue any opportunity that comes her way. Due to a hard past she's terrified of men and only reaches out to help women but only in dire situations. As one could guess, this makes life rather hard for Faith. To make progress in life, you have to be willing to grab at every chance that's thrown at you and those chances sometimes come in the form of men or rather hyper women that drink a bit to much coffee. Faith doesn't quite understand the outside, modern world and when she meets new people, that she learns to trust, she isn't afraid to admit to that. She'll ask question after question until she gets the answers she wants.

History: Faith's mother died while giving birth to her and so Faith was cast into the hands of her father. He was a rough man, one that believed in no faults or abnormalities. This proved problems for Faith for she was a child that believed in strange things such as mice that could speak or little ants that lived in their own civilizations and built their own tiny cars. Her father hated that his child was so odd and so he locked her up and treated her like she was a slave. He made sure that Faith knew she was his daughter though so that she knew that she had to live a normal person's life to get anywhere. The exact opposite happened to Faith though with her father's planning. She got stranger and more aggressive toward her father, eventually sneaking away from home. Up to this day Faith lives on the streets, learning to adapt to the world she's seen close to nothing of.

Appearance: Dark tanned skin with long, tangly black hair, Destiny looks like a child that grew up in a dump. Her eyes are a deep hazel that seem dull and lifeless which seems rather fitting for her general appearance. Her body is covered in small, deep purple bruises that seep into a dark, ugly greenish color. Her clothes are usually torn and jagged, hanging off of her body in odd ways. With glances of the exposed skin one would see scars upon scars on her back from her shoulder blades down to her lower back. Across her face there is one scar on the left side reaching from just above her upper lip down to her chin. Faith almost never wears shoes and her on the bottoms of her feet there is one scar on her right foot. It's rather small and in the shape of a perfect circle. Where it came from, only the dogs know where..

My first thoughts after reading what song I got were much less than satisfied, but I can make it work by referring to the lyrics alone. n.n;

Personality: Roland was diagnosed with BPD when he was seventeen years of age. He had always been timid and worrisome; he is easily startled as well,
History: WIP
Appearance: Roland is short and rather scrawny, and he has been for his entire life. He stands at 5'4.5'' and is very skinny. He has dark auburn hair that is relatively short but somehow is always getting in his eyes; it is slightly floppy and can often be described as "too short to be long but too long to be short." He has a slender, slightly crooked nose and thin, seemingly wavering lips that drive an unhappy crease into his face regardless of his facial expression. Roland's eyes are a hazel color but contain more green than brown, and they are round and almost beady. His eyebrows and eyelashes are quite dark but thinly spread. He has long, bony fingers and toes.

Claims she's British, but she's really just some kind of European mutt. Name a country in Europe, any one at all, it's probably somewhere in her bloodline. None are really noticeable, but she claims that people think British people are hot and so he goes with that. Whether this strategy actually works, however, really depends on the person.
Currently lives in the USA.
Of course, she also claims the she's going to travel someday, but so far she's hardly ventured more than a couple miles from her home.

Erica is, well, pretty much the stereotypical teenage girl.
Areopostle clothes, a cell phone that's practically glued to her hand, an extremely thin frame that simply can't be at all healthy and, of course, an undying obsession and love of hot guys.
And just like many her age, enough tenacity and determination to make even the most relentless of stalkers jealous.

Only Erica has the massive ego to match. She isn't insecure, nor is she particularly interested in impressing anyone. She's top dog, and she knows it. There's no one she needs to prove herself to.
A tough little princess, and one incredibly dangerous one at that.

There is nothing more infuriating to her than not getting what she wants. Which is, of course, a very rare occurrence.
It's not that she's actually in any way likable, it's pretty hard to feel any sort of affection towards someone who simply regards you as a possession, but she has ways of getting what she wants. Though he methods remain unknown to those on the outside, they've learned enough from her terrified, trembling victims to know not to challenge her.

All except for one, a by named Adam.
Her latest obsession.

But, just as most cliche teenage love stories seem to go, he's taken.
And she will stop at nothing to change that.

Just as the personality states, very tall and thin. Is almost always seen wearing whatever clothes happen to be "in" at the moment.
She has long blond hair, pretty much typical of a highschooler, and sparkling green eyes. Though by no means perfect in appearance, she fits in pretty well with the highschool crowd, which is exactly what she's aiming for.


Well that was... entertaining.
