Sonja was probably the oldest of the group, being about twenty, and Ingo had recently become a kind of little sister to her. They had both lost their parents, and Sonja had almost lost the person she loved most. She purposefully skipped over the fact that she had killed Ingo's love in an attempt to save her own. She hugged the girl tightly, knowing that as soon as the crew of the Maiden set sail, she would probably never see them again.
Liam tugged Alexa out into the main room after he finished talking to Darius, and asked her, "How long will it be until you set sail again?"

"Ingo," said Sonja, putting her hand under Ingo's chin so the girl would look up at her, "I have no regrets. I'm going to be fine." She let her hand drop, and put it instead on Ingo's shoulder. "My question is, will you be alright? So here's my advice for you: Freedom has a way of destroying things, but fate and love will always be there to build them anew. Live, and let live." She hugged the girl again and said, "I won't be setting sail with you, so you'll have to do my fighting for me. Take care of that blade."

"Guard it with my life," Ingo said and she meant it. It was like she had to do it for Sonja. She ahd suffered in her life and Ingo had to make it up to her by keeping her fighting spirit alive. Ingo nodded at the woman, "Thank oyu so much," she said again, she owed Sonja al lot, for the advice, the items, just being there for her. It all made a difference to this once poor little beggar girl. Ingo smiled, she was going to start afresh, become a better pirate, leave herself behind, she would do it for Sonaj and for the hope she may one day find her parents.

Sonja nodded and smiled, then looked up as Milo came down from the docks. "Where's Liza, Alexa, Ella, and the rest of the crew?" he asked. "We're setting sail soon, I hope. The weather's fair nice and the tide's going out any minute now."
