Tonight's dragon was inspired by Chagoi koi.

By the way you may not have noticed it, but in this litter each dragon was painted differently. I wanted to experiment with different techniques to paint each outcome and make them distinct from each other in some way. With these two, for example, I gave the first dragon a water ripple pattern while the second one has a lava-looking texture to its orange patterns:

And then there are these other two. While the first was colored more realistically with fish scales and everything, the second has a different approach to the scale patterns. I wanted the scales to look scattered like spotted skin to give the dragon a more natural look.

Overall I just took it as a challenge to figure out 6 different ways to approach a single theme... and that's mainly why this litter took forever to be finished too. I constantly got stuck trying to decide how to paint the next dragon. ¬¬'

They're all outstanding! They're easily one of my favorite litters on the whole site! Your work is always so astounding!! I love they're inspiration as well as the extra lore you created. They were really fun to watch grown and kept me on the edge of my seat to the end. I thank you for making such amazing dragons! Great work!

Lillian, your execution was outstanding! I wish we had a whole litter with the realistic fish scales texture (subtle begging lol), but I am so impressed with your ability to integrate so many different techniques and concepts into this litter.

The kitten finally grew! I was about to expect it to grow into an epps with a slightly different pattern, but I love the design nonetheless! I loved how this litter was a group of natural-colored cats

I believe this one grew today? I love the whole litter. Plenty of dogs and good designs! c:

like a lot of people, i was sure that this kitten had to be an epps so it was a pleasant surprise to see them finally wake up from that blanket! i'm a little sad to see it go since i liked the red of it so much but i can't complain with the final result being so cute ;v;


every dragon from this litter is stunning but this one's is definitely my favorite! the colors and scale texture are so pleasing to look at and the underside of the wing looks like it'd be nice & smooth to the touch, aaaa <3

This month's pets have been TOO fabulous. I'm kind of sad for the month to end!
At least I can safely do litter swaps to help some folks out though. Helping is my favorite.

Now to go through this thread again and remind myself which koi Lillian based each dragon on--for naming purposes!

Man, I'm missing a grand total of 11 pets from February. This month was not my month, despite it being my birthmonth xD

But anyway, the 2nd gens were my favorite regular pets this month, absolutely love that litter <3
And the name "super blue blood moon" still fit them! =D
