This role play is based off of the book series by Cassandra Clare and the Freeform TV show .
You might not need to know of either to rp but you may be a little confused on some terms .

Shadowhunters - half angel demon hunters who protect others while keeping the secret of the shadow world from mundanes .

Mundane - A ordinary human .

Shadow world - The magical parts of the world .

Downworlder - Beings such as Vampire's , Warlocks , Werewolves , and Fae . They are not evil , but shadowhunter's will step in if they cause any trouble .

The Sight - The ability to see things in the shadow world or see past glamour .

Gear - Black leather like clothing . It is what shadowhunter's use as armor when hunting demons .

Runes - Markings Shadowhunter's use to give them their ability's .

Stele - A silver wand like object around the size of a pen that is used to draw the runes .

Idris - Basically a Country run by shadowhunter's . Mundane's can't go there and are even unaware that this huge chunk of land even exists .

The Clave - The collective name for the political body made up of all active Shadowhunters.

Parabatai - Two warriors who's souls are bound together . They fight along side one another and are stronger beside each other .
They become like brothers or best friends but more . They are the most important people to eachother . But Parabatai are never aloud to fall in romantic love with one another .

Scholomance - The Scholomance is a Shadowhunter school where the most elite of Shadowhunters are trained to deal with demons and Downworlders.

Mortal Cup - The Mortal Cup is was given by the Angel Raziel to Jonathan Shadowhunter, the first of the Nephilim. It is used to ascend new shadowhunters . If a mundane survives drinking from the cup they can become a Nephilim .

I'm not breaking any rules . But below are some descriptions of ugly monster creatures that I don't think should bother anyone . But if you don't like bugs and could be easy creeped out 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐝𝐨𝐧𝐭 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐞 .



- Demons -

Amphisbaena - Amphisbaena demons have the wings and body of a giant chicken. They are covered in tentacles, with one very large tentacle containing an eye and a mouth with snapping fangs.

Behemoth - The Behemoth is a formless monstrosity much larger than a human, roughly oblong in shape and has a double row of teeth lining the length of its body. It has a ridged underside like a cockroach's. A Behemoth devours everything in its path, including people. When its serrated jaws clacks together, the Behemoth makes low, insectile chittering sounds.

Drevak - Drevaks are pest-like, resembling giant maggots with their smooth, white, and larval flesh. Despite their less than intimidating appearance, Drevaks are dangerous. Though their shapelessness renders them unable to fight, they use the poisonous black spines in their mouth to sting and poison their targets. Their venomous needles, once broken and stuck onto the skin of a victim, is incredibly painful but fairly easy to treat.

Eidolon - This term is generally used to refer to a variety of around a dozen shape-shifting species of demons.

Hydra - Hydras are medium-sized, vicious, unintelligent, and blind, and thus rely on sound, scent, and their sheer number of large mouths to catch their prey. A hydra looks like a multiple headed dragon .

Imp - An imp is a common small, humanoid demon with the characteristics of a typical Western devil with its horns, forked tail, et cetera. They are not individually dangerous but are reported to be a problem when encountered in swarms .

Kuri - The Kuri are spider demons with eight pincer-tipped arms, large, slinking black bodies, and poison-dripping fangs that extend from their eye sockets.

Raum - A Raum is a demon whose most dangerous weapon is its tentacles—slick, gray-white, and tipped with red suckers, each of which contains a cluster of tiny, poisonous needle-like teeth. Their poison is slightly more complex than a Drevak sting but is still manageable.

Ravener - A Ravener has a slimy, long, scaled, black body, a long black tongue, multiple legs and claws, and an insectile cluster of eyes set dead center on top of its long domed skull. It seems like a cross between an alligator and a centipede, with a thick, flat snout, serrated teeth, and a barbed tail that whips from side to side. It is also said to resemble a scorpion .

It felt weird being in charge . Most of the current residents of the Institute where older than him . He tried not to let his slight discomfort show tough ... I mean technically he still wasn't the boss of anyone but his siblings .
Donovan was making breakfast . Eggs , Pancakes , and Bacon , and setting it on the dining table for whoever may want some . Stacking some plates and silverware where they could get it . His plans where to eat and then see who he could drag to the training room to spar with .

Alexandria hated Logan ... I mean she loved him .... but she hated him .
She could have totally gotten another hour of sleep if he hadn't insisted on waking her up .
Still in sweatpants and a tank top with her hair in a pony tail , she made her way down the stairs to get some coffee in her system . Her parabatai was right by her side ... still talking .

On the table he had a Demonology book that Octavia wanted him to study . He secretly thought that the Hydra that the page was opened on looked kinda cool .

Logan couldn't keep the smirk off his face . Alex looked like she wanted to strangle him . But hey , she should know better . Shadowhunters where so posed to be up at the butt-crack of dawn . He was TRYING to tell her that he over heard Octavia , and that they where probably gonna have a surprise test later today ... but in her half awake state she probably wasn't listening .

A soft groan left his lips as he awoke, in the Infirmary. The place he'd been confined to for the past month. His wounds had yet to heal all the way, the stupid Eidolon had nearly gutted him. Though he had nearly died doing it, he'd killed it too. With a well placed dart in it's forehead. A frown made it's way to Alaric, and he slowly began to get up. Alaric hoped that someone was making breakfast, he was already hungry.

She'd been a wake for a few hours mostly just wandering this place. The place she'd sworn she'd never come back to. Until she did. Because of her brother. She honestly wanted to hate him right now. She honestly just wanted something to do, as she was bored out of her mind. That had never been a good combo when she was younger.

At being called sir Donovan gave a sheepish smile . " Please . uhhhh Donnie . "he suggested , while putting the last of the food on the table . " But no I'm all done with the cooking . Help yourself ." he gestured to the table before setting his own plate . He wondered if he should bring a plate up to Alaric . He should be mostly healed by now with a mixture of Iratze's ( healing runes ) and with Achilles addressing his wounds . But he still felt kinda bad for him . Eidolon where shape shifters , and usually liked to take the form of people you loved . His guess was that's what lead to the older man getting so injured .
