Originally my cake going to be made of fondant. It didnt work out though the fondant was hard to work with. I had to throw away the open fondant there goes 420 down the drain. Oh well, I guess it wasnt meant to be, besides I know what i'n not using in the next cs cake contest if there will be one next year.

Yes, you can work together, that's fine. You just have to split everything, including the participation prize. Make sure you read over the rules on the first page, because your question was already answered there.

Your friends/family can help you make your entry, but you must be heavily involved in the cake's creation/decoration yourself! Do not get someone else to do all the work for you.

If my friend helps me make the cake, can we win two prizes?
No, one entry = one chance at a prize, you would have to share anything you might win. If you don't like that idea, make more than one cake and enter one each.

You could always promise them they can help eating the cake XD At least, that worked with my parents
