"Well, now we need to wait for a fish. Usually this is a very long process, especially if you decide to stomp around the stream and scare all the prey off, but luckily for you," she flicked her tail silently towards the water, pointing t a fat, silver fish nibbling at algae near the middle of the stream. "Now, watch my movements very carefully." she started creeping towards the water, until she was close enough to touch the edge of the lazily running stream. Suddenly, she dipped her paw into the water quickly, hooking the fish onto the dry land, watching it flop for a second before giving a quick nip to in's spin and watching it go limp.

Squirrecloud padded into the warriors den and spotted Falconclaw. She felt her fur warm up and padded over to him "Hi Falconclaw" she meowed smiling shyly, her ginger fur caught the sunlight that shone through into the den and made her fur look like fire. Her green eyes wondered around the den before they came to rest on the tom in front of her.

Kestrelfern lifted her head and scented the air for any indication of prey. A sweet scent caught her nose and made her mouth water. Rabbit. She closed her eyes and concentrated on the smell and discovered it was coming from a bush to her left. Turning to the bush the brown tabby she-cat dropped into a crouch and stalked forward.

Foxflame padded into camp, his mouth full of fresh kill and his paws saw from hunting. Hunting wasn't his best skill but he knew the clan needed to be feed. He padded towards the fresh kill pile and dropped his catch on it before glancing around camp. He wondered where his sister was. He shrugged and sat down licking his paw.

the toms ears perked upwards at the sudden noise. he turned his head to face the gentle shecat. his fur immediately heated up slightly as he looked at the Orange furred shecat. "hello, squirrelcloud," the tom meowed, standing himself up and grooming his fur a little bit.

Silverwhisper glanced around before crouching closer to her brother. "I think I may have some information regarding our brother." she murmured in a similar low tone. "I ran into a loner and kittypet at a cave. The kittypet, who I have found to be named Biscuit, smelled like Luckykit. Looked like him too. He had the exact same eyes as father." She looked around again before continuing. "I would go investigate myself but as a medicine cat my absence would seem unaccounted for. Being deputy, it would seem logical that you would investigate a stranger on our territory.

Honeykit nodded and watched Roseheart with the usual wide eye wonderment of a kit. His eyes followed every single stealthy movement she made. He gasped softly as she brought the fish to land and nipped it all in on fluid motion, clearly one that she was familiar with. "Woah!" Honeykit chirped excitedly as he sprang towards her, unable to stay still any more, "That was really cool!"

Roseheart nodded. "And you'll be able to do it too, with time. For now, let's catch something smaller. Crouch like I did, and see if you can spot a minnow." She was enjoying teaching this kit, even with the looming fear his mother would find them and scold her for letting him hunt without her presence. Perhaps she would be his mentor! She had been in the clan long enough to know how to train an apprentice, she thought...

Maplewhisker walked back to camp with a dead fish in her mouth and a faint smile. She put it down on the freshkill pile and walked over to the nursery to see the kits. This was one of her favorite past time; watching and playing with the newborns. The met up with the queens in the nursery and purred at them.

Silverwhisper looked around for her apprentice, eventually spotting her outside the medicine den. "Nettlepaw." she greeted her with a curt nod, "I've been looking for you. Come along, we need to leave now if we want to get all the herbs we need and still be back for night fall." She nodded towards the forest as she gazed calmly at her apprentice.

Honeykit nodded and crouched low as Roseheart had instructed him. His bright eyes scanned the river until they eventually landed on a minnow that had strayed close to the shore. Good for Honeykit, bad for the minnow. Taking a deep breath he launched himself towards the minnow. After a few moments with a few lucky strikes and a quick bite, Honeykit had the small minnow in his mouth. Though he couldn't say anything, the look on his face showed how proud he was. Granted, it hadn't been nearly as smooth and elegant as Roseheart and had mostly consisted of him blindly swatting at water and just getting lucky, but he did it. He was already making plans to show off his catch to his mother, just to prove how 'capable' of a cat he really was.

Roseheart nodded with a smile, a wave a pride washing over her. she taught him how to do that! "Good job, especially for your first try. Though you definitely need to work on aim and stealthiness, you're doing great for a kit." she didn't want to praise him too much and make him hot-headed, so she tried to give him some friendly critiquing instead. She stood up, shaking the dirt and dried leaves off her skin before starting to head towards the direction of camp. "Come, we're going to find your mother, apologize for sneaking away from her, and then go put our catches on the fresh-kill pile." she picked up her fish in her jaws, gesturing for Honeykit to follow her.
