[Boomer]

Plot: A young girl was made famous by the small town she once lived in, in the worst way possible. After a house fire nearly destroyed her and everything she loved, the girl was somehow able to survive her massive injuries. Although many people were interested in adopting her, the hospital staff had decided that she needed to be sent away with someone that could help her with her un-publicized powers and be able to control her. Given only the clothes on her back, a sketchbook, and a doll called "Scarlett", this young girl must learn to adjust to a normal, healthy life, all while dealing with the demons of her past.

Personality: Generally very sweet, but very quiet, Alessa isn't quick to make friends. She normally doesn't speak to others unless she's spoken to. However, if she is your friend, she will be very loyal and loving towards you.
Appearance: Alessa and her beloved Scarlett
Likes: Stormy weather, her toy Scarlett, and taking care of animals (fish, mice, ect).
Dislikes: Fire, blood, doctors, needles, feeling like she's not in control.
Powers: Telekinesis
Weaknesses: She is unable to break bones. She can lift objects that are smaller than herself and weigh less (about 30 pounds, she's underweight), forms a protective orb around herself and whoever she wishes to protect, and uses orbs of energy to hit whatever she wants to hit. However, she gets headaches when she's used too much power/used it for a long period of time. These headaches prevent her from using it for a while, and if she breaks her focus, she's unable to use her power (such as being bitten or kicked).
History: Alessa was born to a single mother in a small town located in Pennsylvania. The pup's mother, Dahlia, struggled with raising her pup on her own and began to resent her. At about two years old, Alessa began to display some telekinetic power, which only angered her mother. Dahlia knew that Alessa's father had passed down the gene to her, as she could control fire. Dahlia started to abuse Alessa as she started to use her power more and more, eventually resorting to beating Alessa for any small mistake. Growing tired of taking care of Alessa, her mother decided the easiest way to get rid of her pup was to have her killed. She had staged a fire and their home burned down with Alessa inside. Dahlia was able to disappear, not wanting to stick around and be caught. After being in the hospital for nearly three years, Alessa was sent away to live with a single mother and her young son.

Alessa stared out the back window of the taxi as she was lost in thought. She wondered what her new life would be like; she hadn't been told about the family that had adopted her. She was a bit nervous to be going into a new home. Alessa held tightly onto her toy, Scarlett, then flicked her tail nervously. She glanced over to her suitcase for a moment; it only contained her sketchbook and pencils, and her medical record. It was rather thick and overflowing with papers. Alessa pricked her ears as the taxi came to a stop. The girl grabbed her suitcase before looking to the house she'd soon be calling home. She exited the taxi and watched it drive away before slowly approaching the front porch. She walked up the steps and lightly knocked on the door. Alessa moved a matted lock of dark brown hair out of her eyes before she smoothed out her over sized dress. She didn't have a change of clothes and the dress she was given looked huge on her frail frame. Alessa was underweight and her hair was a bit matted; she didn't allow the nurses to brush her hair. The poor pup looked more homeless than a pup that had been in the hospital for almost three years.

Rayna

Rayna had been sitting on the couch watching tv with Gavin as the small chime of the door bell echoed throughout the house. Rayna hopped from her seat, clapping her paws together in excitement. She scrambled to the door, swiftly opening it to greet Alessa with a wide grin. ”Welcome! I’m glad you made the trip over here safely!” she chirped warmingly, stepping to the side of the door as to let the young girl in. Her auburn gaze had studied the small pup for a few moments silently, frowning at the clumps Of knotted fur, being mistreated since likely the beginning of her hospital visit. ”Would you uh, want anything to eat or drink? Some other clothes to change into?” her tone had lowered, and she had slowed the pace of the voice. She had realized she was probably overwhelming the pup with her consistent talking. She smiled sweetly at the girl, waiting patiently for a response to any of her suggestions.

[Boomer]

Alessa slightly jumped when the door opened, making her grip on Scarlett a little tighter. She took a few steps into the house and looked around before Rayna's questions registered to her. "O-oh, um... I-I'm not too picky w-when it comes to food." said Alessa softly, glancing towards the fox. Alessa remembered that the nurses told her to try and maintain eye contact and to offer her paw when first introducing herself. Alessa set the suitcase down and offered her paw. "M-my name is A-Alessa." she stuttered, "T-thank you for inviting me i-into your home." She really did try to sound grateful, but her anxious nature made it difficult for her sometimes. Alessa looked down at her suitcase and moved to open it. "M-my medical file..." she said, picking up a rather large file and giving it to Rayna, "I-I had m-my blood draw this morning. T-the hospital said t-they can send someone o-over every morning to draw it."

Rayna

Rayna widened her smile, taking the bulk pile of papers being offered from the pup. "Alright, than how about some grilled cheese? It won't take very long to make." She chirped, being as friendly to the girl as possible. Of course she was going to be agitated and socially awkward. The pup probably hadn't talked to anyone but the hospital staff the entire three years she had been cooped up. She perked her ears momentarily, having remembered something. She turned back to the living room couch, where the smaller version of herself had been playing on his off brand game device. "Gavin, why don't you come over and say hi? You should at least make the effort to get to know Alessa. She'll be living with us from now on, after all." She frowned at her son's reply,
which had only been a grunt, dismissing the two. She sighed softly, turning back to Alessa. "Nevermind that. You can get to know him later. What do you say about the grilled cheese, eh?"

Gavin

Gavin furrowed his brow to his mother's suggestion. He cast a rare glance over to the two, his eyes gazing at his hopeful mother, before shifting to study upon the pitiful girl. He narrowed a golden brown glare on the younger pup, before tearing away to hop off the couch. His attention had refocused on his game. He walked away from the room to a narrow hallway, which led to his room. he shut his bedroom door behind him upon arriving, flopping down on his bed, all the while continuing with his gameplay.
He hadn't been to keen on the idea to befriend another species, let alone one who was planning on staying with them. Already,
he had felt a strong envy for the younger creature. She had already probably been so spoiled at the hospital, and now she comes into his life and takes away the one person he'd actually been close to. Of course, he was dismissing the fact that he had been the one to walk away from the two.

[Boomer]

Alessa flicked her tail as Gavin stared her down, then left to go into his room. She felt uneasy around him, but told herself that it was normal. "S-sure... I'll try it." she answered, turning her gaze back to Rayna. Alessa had never had a grilled cheese sandwich before; there were a lot of foods that the girl never tried. Not because she was picky, simply because she was often starved and when she did get to eat, it was scraps. Alessa looked towards the hallway, then slightly tilted her head. "W-would I have time t-to take a bath before the s-sandwich is ready?" she asked, "T-that is, if you don't mind." Alessa found baths to be relaxing; it was the only time she could be left alone without nurses and doctors constantly checking up on her.

Rayna

Rayna blinked at Alessa, before smiling once more. "Sure, go ahead. Do you have any clean clothes to change into? If not,
I'm sure we can find you a large shirt to drape over you until we have time to go clothes shopping." She hummed, looking down at the young girl in question.

"I don't h-have any c-clothes to change into." said Alessa softly. She clung onto Scarlett, then flicked her tail. "W-where is the b-bathroom?" she asked quietly, "A-and where are the towels?" Alessa wondered why she wasn't given any clothes, but she had heard a rumor that when homeless people were given new clothes by the hospital, they had came from dead people. Alessa was glad that she didn't get any clothes from the hospital besides the dress she had on. She knew that the dress had been brand new when it was given to her. Alessa then wondered if Gavin was going to have lunch with her or stay in his room.

Rayna

Rayna smiled sadly, realizing she had made Alessa more agitated than before. "No worries! Follow me, I'll show you where the bathroom is." She led the pup down the same hallway that Gavin had stomped off to, turning to a door that had been opposite of his bedroom's. "Here. The towels are in the cabinet under the sink. I'll be right back with a clean outfit for you to wear." She stated, already beginning to make the trip across the house to her room. Only a few seconds had passed before she was in her own room, rummaging through her closet. A lot of the things she had would've been to big to be able to fit Alessa's tiny frame. Eventually she had settled with the pastel yellow t-shirt that Rayna had had since she was in high school. Unsure on how perfectly it'd fit on Alessa still, Rayna swiftly grabbed a small pair of sweat shorts. She set a fast paced walk back to the bathroom, smiling upon seeing Alessa again from only a few minutes ago. She set the pair of clothes she had picked for the pup on the sink counter, beginning to back out of the room. "Call for me if you're in need of anything else. Otherwise, take your time!" She encouraged.
