II. this is not an advanced lit roleplay, and i gladly welcome people of any writing level!

IV. lgbt+ characters are welcomed. let's be kind to each other about this, and not go around criticizing the identities people give to their characters!
V. even genders don't matter, like... at all. who cares dude!!!!
VI. be nice to each other, and show the basic level of respect to all your fellow roleplayers!
VII. please use non-realistic faceclaims for your characters in this rp. doesn't have to be anime or anything, just not a photo of a real person. if you cannot find a picture that suits your character, you are absolutely permitted to just describe them with words!

here are a few races to choose from! this is by NO means all of the possible character races, and i definitely invite you to look into more if none of these suit your taste!


ｅｌｖｅｓ

elves are a humanoid race with long, pointed ears. they tend to be quite beautiful, and almost ethereal in their appearance. they tend to be taller than humans, and their lifespans are substantially longer in comparison to that of a human's, as well, reaching 750 years in some cases. they tend to look a bit weak physically, but they can be surprisingly strong regardless. magic and elves often coincide.
half-elves can and do exist; they are the children of a human and elf parent. they tend to not fit in well with humans, nor with elves, leaving them feeling ostracized.


ｄｗａｒｖｅｓ

dwarves are a humanoid race, however they are much shorter and more stout than the average human being. they are usually hearty and strong, undeterred by hardship and tribulation. they tend to be a proud race, overall. their lifespans are also much longer than a human's, though they are shorter than an elf's. while they mature at the same rate as a human, they live around 350 years on average, and are considered to be 'young' until age 50.


ｈａｌｆｌｉｎｇｓ

halflings are another humanoid race. they stand at about 3 feet on average (91cm). aside from their stature, there is very little that sets them apart from humans. they tend to be homebodies who like to stay out of trouble and conflict as much as possible. in this way, they have managed to keep their race alive and well. during the era of war, they would only fight if attacked, otherwise keeping themselves out of the battles. they live around 150 years on average.


ｔａｂａｘｉ

tabaxi are a race of cat-like humanoids. they are generally taller than the average human, standing at 6 to 7 feet on average (182-213 cm). they are covered in striped or spotted fur. tabaxi possess long tails and retractable claws, further likening them to the average cat. their eyes have slit pupils, and they tend to be yellow or green, as opposed to brown or blue. they are usually quite physically able, being excellent swimmers, runners, and climbers. their lifespans tend to be under a century.


ｈｕｍａｎｓ

humans are simply humans, with no inherent special traits or anything of that nature. they are of average height, with a few exceptions, and their physical ability ranges greatly based on their own level of training and skill. they have few consistent traits across the board. like tabaxi, their lifespans tend to be under a century, though some have lived much longer for reasons unknown.


ｔｉｅｆｌｉｎｇｓ

as the offspring of humans and demons, tieflings are often regarded negatively by those around them. despite their heritage, they do not have any specific base alignment, and are much more human than demon. some can pass for human altogether, while others have large horns, tails, and sharp teeth. their eyes are either humanoid, or one completely solid color. they tend to live slightly longer than humans, and are of the same average height as humans.

avalon exists for their own entertainment. they want to have a good time, to experience the best that life has to offer them, and to never be held down by anything or anyone. unsurprisingly, they often do as they please with little regard for how it will affect those around them. they are obsessed with material possessions, especially gold and books. they have a major kleptomaniac streak, stealing constantly and without a second thought. avalon is quite flirtatious, but fears the actual commitment of a relationship. they're something of a heartbreaker, known for having flings at random, just because they want to. they have friends, but they are kept at a distance. their emotions are cut off from the public eye entirely, masked by a facade of complete confidence. while they have no regard for law and order, they do not seek to be evil, either. all they want is the best of life's pleasures, and they are willing to do anything to get it, whether that be lying, cheating, or stealing.

avalon does not make a good friend, but an excellent ally.

Ellael wants to gain as much power and money as she can. She only cares about herself but is aware of the consequences, she just rarely cares about them. She has no qualms about harming anyone and even finds enjoyment in doing so. She only obeys rules and laws when it serves her a purpose, or it's convenient. When she helps someone she expects to be repaid in some way or gain something from helping them. She does understand burning every bridge is a bad idea and does return others loyalty to an extent. But if someone becomes a crutch to her goals, she will abandon them. She would rather bribe or fight than talk. She makes up for her lack of social skills in her combat prowess, which she prides herself on.
