Willowsong sat in her den, her paws kneading a moss bed beneath her. It had only been two days since she joined Silentclan, and already she was adjusting to a lifestyle where she wasn't being abused and her cavern didn't look like it was about to collapse on top of her head. After fixing her moss bed, she briefly hopped out of it to go get a dandelion, pulling it out of it's designated stick "shelf" in her neatly organized herbs. She tore the leaves off the dandelion and popped them into her mouth one by one, chewing them. She performed this every few nights, using the dandelions to soothe her aching muscles after hunting for herbs all day and occasionally all night.
Once she chewed the dandelions, she turned to her right and froze. Before her stood a light blue portal, several stars scattered throughout it. She tilted her head to the side in curiosity and walked forward towards the portal, seeming to be entranced by it. She then heard faint whispers from the cats of Starclan themselves, beckoning her towards it. She fell to the beckoning, and made her way forward, her nose reaching out to touch the portal. Her eyes soon shut and she was transported somewhere else; somewhere unfamiliar. When she appeared on the other side of the portal, she found herself in an unfamiliar place. This place had odd sand for the ground, one that caused her paws to sink in slightly and leave paw prints. She walked forward and looking in the distance, her head tilting to the side in curiosity whenever she saw a large brown mass that reached for the sky.
"Who are you?" A voice called out behind her, and she soon whirled around to find a ginger striped tom with a white underbely. "I'd ask the same of you.. some portal showed up and brought me here.." Willowsong mumbled in confusion, looking around anxiously. "What.. is this place? It looks really different from home." Ohiastar looked at Willowsong, then realized what she meant. "Starclan must've let you come here. My name is Ohiastar, I am leader of Volcanoclan. That thing you were looking at is a volcano, that's what my clan is named after. Where do you come from, and why did they pick my dream?"
"Your dream? You mean this isn't real?!" Willowsong said in a confused tone. "I swear I walked into that portal.. But.. I'm confused now. I'm Willowsong, medicine cat of Silentclan. We live in a forest, which is probably really far from here. Are you surrounded by water?!" She suddenly asked, flinging her head around in each direction, looking out to the seas. "Oh, yes, but that's normal. Come with me, I'll tell you more about the land."
So the two walked. They approached a patch of trees close to the brown mass, which Willowsong now knew was called a volcano.
"This place is really interesting.." Willowsong commented as Ohiastar took her through the camp. He looked back at Willowsong and shrugged. "This is just home for me. What's it like back home?" Willowsong thought to herself for a moment, then spoke. "Well,
it's a forest, kind of like this. But it's not as wet and.. what's the word you told me earlier.." "Tropical?" "Yeah, that word!" Ohiastar laughed at her confusion briefly before continuing the tour. The two of them continued to talk until the sun had set, and soon Ohiastar made a realization. "Starclan will be calling you home soon. Thank you for visiting, perhaps I will see you again?" Ohiastar asked. Having formed a bond, Willowsong nodded. "Definitely. Best of wishes, Ohiastar."[627 words]
