Story || Nyne looked around, staring at the hoard of plants and bones that she possessed. "None of this will do..." she murmured, her eyes narrowing. This, unfortunately, was a lot harder than it seemed. She was new to this, but she was determined to look good compared to the others that were in the same field she was. Besides, this was a matter of pride. She had foolishly bet all of the others she could make this potion. This wasn't the first time she had let her pride get the best of her, either. On multiple occasions, Nyne bragged and tended to get herself into trouble. "You know, you're gonna suffer one day." she murmured to herself, not allowing failure to be an option. No, she would do this. "It's a shame this is pretty impossible to do? I mean, emotions are pretty easy to toy with but, making it for two? I'm not so sure this will go the way I want it. So much could go wrong, this isn't going to work." She sighed, doubt officially getting to her. "I don't even have the right ingredients." She added, turning tail and scampering out of her large tree home. The willow tree hung low and swayed in the breeze, caressing the fur of Nyne as she padded on. "I bet that these ingredients don't even exist" she growled. I mean really, a dragon scale? Where was she supposed to find a dragon? And not just any dragon, an 'elusive' pixie dragon, as those tended to be more powerful. Then you had to find a rose that bloomed in darkness. How does that make any sense? The other ingredients were just as bizarre.
Nyne hadn't noticed how far she had gone until she noticed it was getting harder and harder to see, and before long it was only the moon and her companions that illuminated her path. Nyne glanced back and forth, and it didn't take long for her to realize that she was lost. "Great." she murmured, completely defeated at this point. "I'm lost, AND I'm a failure. Anything else that I failed to mention?"
as if on cue, lightning fractured the sky and thunder roared, shaking Nyne to the core. How she hated storms, she couldn't quite understand why but she was TERRIFIED of them. "Not funny" she squeaked, her heart beginning to pound in her chest. She felt herself begin to run, but to where? She was lost, and going deeper would only make this worse. She found herself at a dead end, and much more scared than before. She wasn't quite sure what to do, so that's when she decided just laying down and accepting defeat was the best option. "This was a bust." Nyne cried, grabbing her now soaked hat and deciding to cover her face. Can't fear what you can't see.
She stayed there for what felt like forever, but a sudden rustling seemed to catch her attention. "GO AWAY, in already miserable can you come back a different time i would prefer to sulk a little longer without fear." she hissed. That's when a small, glowing white dragon about the size of a kitten landed in front of her. Nyne stared at it in awe. "A ... fairy dragon?" she asked. The creature locked eyes with Nyne for a bit before turning and flying away. Nyne, alarmed, ran after the tiny beast. "Wait, wait come back!" She yelled. She paused when she found herself back at home, safe and sound. The beast was gone, nowhere in sight. However, one thing remained on the ground right in front of her door; the tiny, glowing scale of the fairy dragon.
Nyne felt herself grin as she picked up the scale. "Huh. Guess i'm gonna be the greatest witch around" she murmured, looking back into the forest. "Thank you."
