Vanessa sighed, and stopped. "Y-you don't understand. I could hurt you guys and I don't want to hurt anyone anymore." She said as more tears came.

Jo awkwardly hugged the girl, watching as she went over to hug Elaina. "Yeah, I'll be alright." She touched the gouge on her cheek, her fingers immediately bouncing off when a stinging sensation spread across her face. She cringed, trying not to show her pain to Elaina and the girl. "What's your name?" Jo asked, looking towards the former-eagle. "And, uh, I tend to accidentally burn people a lot, so no worries." She gave an awkward smile, not realizing what she'd just let slip.

Vanessa watched the girl cringe, and Vanessa shuddered from hurting the girl. "I truly am sorry..." She said trying to be sincere. "My name is Vanessa..." She said biting her nails, from being nervous.

Jo shook her head. "You're alright, Vanessa." She paused, the name sounding foreign to her. But she felt that way with just about any new person that she met. She only didn't feel that way with one person, and then they left... She wanted to make sure that this girl didn't have the kind of life she did.

Vanessa looked at the sky, the sun was starting to go down. "Looks like I have to go, it's almost dark..." She said sighing, sniffling.

Jo looked at Vanessa. "Do you have somewhere to go?" She was just a little girl; she couldn't possibly be on her own. If she was, Jo would welcome her into her home unwillingly. After all, she had just almost took her eye out. Jo looked around, searching as if the place were to be close.

Vanessa looked at her. "Uh ya I do have a place to go. You go straight and then turn to an old abandoned dumpster...And thats where I live!" She said thinking that it was normal for kids to be living in dumpsters, and that it was normal to be homeless, with no family.
