If Kincaid was allowed one word to describe his brother he would choose "fickle". Alaric is fickle in every aspect of his life; he's exceedingly picky about his clothes, his food, his lifestyle. He's depressingly particular over his friends, and he is so very unwilling to make exceptions. Alaric is astoundingly intelligent but unfortunately he is well aware of the fact; he considers himself smarter than 90% of the people he meets, and thus he considers himself superior to them. He has a book on his person at all times, whether it's crammed into a messenger bag or folded neatly into a back pocket. When bored he has the habit of sitting down against the wall and reading and ignoring everything going on around him. He has a soft spot for naps and will sleep frequently if he feels safe around someone. He prefers going barefoot when indoors but he dislikes getting dirty and so insists on shoes outside. He has no real interest in exercise but he maintains a slender figure because he's fickle with his food, and he's picky about when he will eat. He doesn't like eating around certain people, and prefers to take most of his meals in private.

Alaric is rather standoffish and dislikes being touched, but like in all other aspects of his personality Alaric makes exceptions for Kincaid. Kincaid can doze beside him, can eat with him, can hug him and throw him around; Alaric tolerates his brother because he loves him but should anybody else attempt to mimic the same behavior Alaric will become irrationally angry. Alaric has a short temper and Kincaid is always hurrying after him apologizing on his brother's behalf. He likes to write and learn and has developed a personalized shorthand that he takes notes in, usually in the margins of his books. He holds grudges for eons and he is unlikely to ever forgive someone for even an imagined slight. Alaric is infrequently gentle; he has a precise and measured way of moving that likens him to a big cat, and there is nothing gentle about that. Only to Kincaid will he display any affection at all, although he is learning to make room in his life for Zevi. He has a knack for fashion and is always dressed impeccably. He often insists on dressing Kincaid as well, as he considers his brother's fashion sense to be well underdeveloped.

Alaric has neither the time nor the energy for any friends past his own brother, Kincaid. While Alaric and Kincaid are destined to inherit Rossore's throne from King Zevi together, and rule jointly, Alaric is far more active in the kingdom's politics. He frequently sits in on various meetings, and cultivates a name for himself among the representatives who come to woo him. Kincaid doesn't have as much interest in such things, so Alaric allows his brother the social life and takes charge of taking notes.
He views Calliope as a sort of uncle, as the man has been involved in Alaric's life since he was adopted by the king, and frankly he likes Calli's short temper and frequent grumbling. He's always a source of amusement for Alaric, and when he becomes stressed with the impending responsibilities of the crown, Calli always lets him come into the medical wing and rearrange all his books by author's last name.

Alaric and Kincaid were adopted by Zevi to serve as the man's heirs to the throne. They are meant to inherit the throne together and serve as brother-kings (think old Sparta). They do not have jobs really outside of that, although Alaric considers himself a scholar and Kincaid an athlete. They are well-known around the castle and spend a great deal of their time outdoors, quite accidentally endearing themselves to the locals. Although neither are biologically related to Zevi, the country has taken a shining to the twins.
Alaric is mostly involved with the political side of the crown, and among allies and other kingdoms is the better known of the princes. He sits in on all meetings he's invited to and some that he's not, and he always keeps a cool head. With age Zevi has allowed him more responsibility, and sometimes does not attend the meetings himself, leaving Alaric to speak in his stead.

If they aren't already brothers or related in some other fashion, I would have them be siblings. Kincaid is a vampire and Alaric is as well but he has shorter fangs than his brother. And I would be keeping their names the same if that's alright? I really like their names.~

A massive fence would surround it, but the fence would be a mirage of tall trees and thorny bushes and no one would be allowed to enter the garden unless Alaric or Kincaid showed them the one secret pathway that leads into it. Many creatures of various shapes and sizes reside within the garden and Alaric helps watch over them as well as his plants. Fiercer creatures live outside the garden and protect it diligently. Alaric is well acquainted with said creatures as well and neither of them do the other any harm.

He grows all sorts of plants that come from many places far and wide. He knows the medicinal uses of each and every plant in his garden and lives off of them entirely, while Kincaid still prefers to "hunt" for his food.

Some travelers have caught word of Alaric and his garden of wonders and seek cures for illnesses and such things, or purely to see the garden with their own eyes. Alaric, Kincaid, and the creatures don't allow just anyone in the garden and therefore most people will wait by a large boulder on the edge of the forest where the garden resides. Some smaller creatures like fairys or vocalbirds will alert Alaric and Kincaid that someone is seeking Alaric's medicinal aid and he will meet them, discover what they seek, and assist them if he can. And if a traveler wishes any ill will towards Alaric or the Garden, Kincaid and the creatures of the forest will "take care of them".

Alaric is fairly well-practiced with magic and he cast a spell over the garden to shield him and Kincaid from the sun during the day. The plants still get all the sun they need and the vamp brothers get to enjoy sunlight safely. The surrounding forest may not have a spell on it but the canopy is so thick that the brothers can also venture there during the day without having to worry about getting fried.

He and Kincaid have traveled many places to acquire most of the plants in the garden and Alaric spends most of his daily time looking after the garden and its inhabitants. The garden is vary large and actually more of a diverse forest within a larger forest so when Alaric isn't tending the plants or creatures he is patrolling in and around it or helping the wondering travelers. (some of the travelers have actually been bitten by Kincaid so Alaric will always treat any of his brother's bite victims that he runs across)

Whereas I see Kincaid as being mischievous and a trouble-maker. He's typically more fearful in general and withdrawn in social situations compared to Alaric. Yet, he is very protective of his brother and will do anything to keep him safe. He doesn't have any draw to the garden but he enjoys it well enough and knows it means a great deal to Alaric so he helps in protecting it as well. Kincaid actually trains some of the beasts he has run across and loves to feed them. He even cooks things for his "pets" upon occasion because he loves the smell of food but since he is a vampire he can not eat any of it and he doesn't want to waste any of it either.
