Run along a cliffside - New fursona idea?

Postby Nanuuk » Tue Apr 05, 2011 5:49 am

GAAHH.

My poor hand. :< I've been working on this for two days, about an hour each.

I was originally going to post in beginners, but my mum said that this was worth a shot at intermediate.
And since my cat pictures usually stay in intermediate, I also decided to try.

I've been drawing cats in this pose up my arm all week, and finally decided to give my mouse a go at it.
I like it, apart from my crappy shading. I try many different styles but gave up and stuck with this.. What do you think?

It is really cool, but I'm not sure if it belongs in intermediate, though. Keep practicing though! :)

You have a very good understanding of animal anatomy.
I think it is almost intermediate, not quite but almost.

I don't think it is Intermediate yet, I think you have over estimated your skills even though it is very good.
I think you should work on the grass a lot more.

The anatomy could use some work, but since I'm not very good at that I can't point out any specifics but maybe the paws and eye. I also think you should add a shadow below the dog because it sort of looks like it is lying down instead of running. I agree with Gleeky~Cheeze too that the grass could use some more detail. This particular piece of art isn't what I picture 'Intermediate' but with some more work I can see you becoming a wonderful artist! Good luck!

Mark 12:28-31 (NIV) wrote:"Of all the commandments,
which is the most important?"
"The most important one,"
answered Jesus, "is this:
'LOVE the Lord your God
with all your HEART
and with all your SOUL
and with all your MIND
and with all your STRENGTH.'
The second is this:
'LOVE your neighbor as yourself.'
There is no commandment
greater than these."
