She had to make herself noticed, and so, picking up the hare in her jaws, she leapt down from the highrock, shooting a look at Wolfleap before padding over to join Thunderjay, gently brusging his pelt to soothe him.

It had been a while since they stood together like this.

"You're just an outsider! You shouldn't even have an apprentice name, go back to where you belong, Thunder!"
From where she had previously been laying down, she immediatelly leapt up.
"Shut up! Leave me alone! I belong here, amd I have a right to!" she heard the indignant yell of Thunderpaw.
"Pah! You'll never be a part of Eclipseclan, loner!"

Leaving her shrew from where she had been eating it, she got up to see that the three apprentices, Talonpaw, Pouncepaw and Pikepaw had surrounded Thunderpaw, taunting the silver tom as he flattened his ears and hissed defiantly.
Shouldering her way through, she stood beside Thunderpaw with a fierce glare.
"A-ah! R-ravenpaw!" she heard Pouncepaw squeak shyly, and she saw the tom slightly blush, but disregarded it.
"Back off." she snarled, "Leave him alone."
She could feel the somewhat surprise of Thunderpaw, but he quickly recovered and padded forwards to stand beside her. The three apprentices threw dubious looks at each other before they slunk off.
"Thank you." she heard a quiet mew, and she turned slightly before she gave a soft smile.
"No problem."

"She was making sure that no cat would starve. And why not just send out more hunting patrols? Because if we hunted everything today, what would we do tomorrow? "And I'm sure that out of all the cats before, you were the one who acted the most on emotion. You were ready to go against your leader for the sake of a she-cat who doesn't even know you love her." he said smoothly clear enough for Wolfleap to hear.

"I agree with Willowmist, I've heard tales of other clans dying out becausr they had no more prey left. Ravenstar is trying to make sure that we don't go hungry, yet also trying to sustain the prey so we don't overhunt, and that we can have a tomorrow. Even though we may not have as much prey tomorrow, we will at least still have prey. Now that you think about it, I feel like no cats actually stopped to think about it, and purely reacted on their emotions." he meowed solemnly.

Wolfleap stood tensely as she listened to the arguments. And to me, that’s the kind of leader that this clan needs. A leader who puts the well being of the whole clan before herself. Elmwind’s words echoed in her mind. Maybe they were right. Maybe her and Otternose were getting too close. What kind of a deputy was she? She clearly didn’t deserve her position, let alone leadership of a whole clan. with that, Wolfleap flattened her ears before pelting into the forest. I let Ravenstar down, I let my entire clan down.

Gingerkit squeaked as she was taken back to the den. As she heard Nightpaw leave, she turned around and began to waddle around more, following these new sounds. As the yowls started, Gingerkit threw a fit of squeaks and mews. She didn’t like these new sounds, they were scary.

He nodded but knew that it could be handled better. My dad would make them calm down first then talk it out until he was sure that they wouldn't kill each other. Otternose looked back just in time to see Wolfleap race off into the forest. This is HIS fault. This is all Thunderjay's fault! If he could keep his muzzle shut maybe none of this would have happened. Otternose let out an outraged yowl and lounged his claws unsheathed and teeth bared as he attempted to pin Thunderjay. "You inconsiderate idiotic mouse-brained fool!" he snarled "Your causing more harm than good! I'm sure you would have killed a cat to get your mate back any day." He glared at Thunderjay but his hackles slowly fell flat. His gaze soon became empty as the weight of the argument set in on him. He stepped back a few feet just in-case Thunderjay decided to attack. He then looked towards the bushes where WolfLeap had disappeared. She hates me now. Doesn't she.. This all Thunderjay's fault. He turned on Thunderjay with a snarl. "Oh look. Ruining everything once again. Only your actual friends can have a love, the rest of the cats get to suffer." he snarled his disgusted gaze locking onto Thunderjay's cold hard eyes. "One mistake is all it took for dear little Thunderjay to interfere with matters that are not his own. He has to be the hero, the one that everyone looks up to and admires, because "idiots" like me don't deserve an ounce of anything. They deserve nothing more than to die don't they." he said spitefully. I wanted peace when I joined this clan, not a fight. That was all my father ever provided and now that stability I once felt is gone.
