"What about you? Do you live with someone?" I ask him, the hallway silent except for out foot falls. I had practiced being quieter but didn't focus on it right now, just wanting to relax a little bit.

Hayden-
I shake my head and reply, " No, I don't live with anyone." I didn't go on though, I didn't like telling people my personal life.

When he didn't elaborate I riding push it, instead I changed the subject. "You know we could have a life altering journey on this mission and either be the best of friends or the worst of enemies." I say with a smile, wanting to ease any tension that had built between us.

Hayden-
I glanced at him and nodded, giving a small smile, "Yeah, I know. Or nothing could happen and we could be just neighbors," I remind him very plainly.

"Yeah but that's boring, I think we really could be friends. We could keep going on missions and stuff...everyone needs a friend." I say, stretching out my wings once more, the tips nearly touching the walls of the narrowish hallway. I kept them from touching him though, not wanting to know the burn of a non-mate. "I think it would great if we became friends, even best friends. I can't remember the last time I had a friend that..." I stopped, I couldn't remember the last time I had a friend that I hadn't hurt or betrayed...the most recent one being Ryan. I didn't want him to know the though, then he wouldn't want to be my friend probably.

Why was he going on about being friends? I knew he was nervous, but not this nervous, "I have friends Link, I have Seth, Annie, Carl, and many more, but okay....if you wanna be my friend we'll see how it goes."

"Thanks." I say with a happy smile, feeling better now as we walked, almost to the mission room. "Is this your first mission?" I ask, doubting it since he seemed to have lived here for a awhile.

I shook my head and replied, "No. This is maybe my 75th. I lived here for years."

"Wow." I say, "I hope I go on that many missions. How old are you anyway?" I ask, tucking my wings back as we got closer to the door.

I just gave a simple nod and when he asked how old I was I replied softly, "26."
