She sits outside the den and eats her food, waiting for someone to come over and talk to her.

Goldenmist purred out a laugh then flopped onto her side on the shore, her head just out of the water. She laid there for a few heart-beats before she sprang back up and began to wade into the deeper parts of this body of water. Grey fur began to darken as it soaked up water, she glanced around again making sure that no cat was around. keeping her tail above water like she had seen ducks do from time to time she ducked her head under water, her eyes closed. But it was only for a moment. Once she opened her eyes, she nearly flinched from the stinging. When her lungs began to burn the calico raised her head out of the water gasping for breath.

The feline chuckled half-heartedly and mewed," It's just not everyday that any cat within the clan approaches me with out any caution." She paused to take and bite, chewed and swallowed a thoughtful look on her face. "And those that do, normally want something from me or my sister." Snakewatcher gave the tom a sharp look, " You wouldn't happen to have an agenda would you?" Her golden-yellow gaze stayed on his amber eyes for a few heart-beats before she leaned down and took another bite.

It was quiet except for the ever so soft nibbling of the rabbit about three fox lengths from the tom. Bunching up his muscles the grey-brown spotted tabby, suddenly exploded from his hiding place, stretching his long legs as he darted toward is intended target. The rabbit was quick to notice him, and even quicker to bolt. The chase didn't last long, but it was long enough for both the rabbit and Leto to cross the border just moments before he managed to catch up. Heart-beats before the rabbit could escape to it's burrow Leto bit into it's soft scruff, coming to an abrupt stop causing both to take a tumble. While Leto was old, he was the first to recover, and he swiftly snapped the rabbit neck. Not realizing that he had crossed the border, the tom laid down panting. He put a paw on his prey then waited until he wasn't breathing as hard before he would begin eating.

Goldenmist stood there for a few long moments, softly purring after her gasping had settled. She let her tail slap onto the waters surface, before turning around and wading back to the shore. While she fleetingly thought about fishing, she decided against it. The calico had probably scared most of the fish away, any ways. Once she was on the shore and out of the water, the now soaking wet feline shook out her fur like a dog, trying to get rid of most of the water dripping from her coat.

The brown and white tabby tom grumbled as he was awoken, he sleepily glared at the cat that dared wake him before realizing that it was only the clans medicine cat, Bramblewhisker. "What did you say?" He groaned soft, before realizing that the tom most likely want to check up on his leg. "Oh right, check up." After yawning softly, shaking the sleep away then tom got up, quickly stretching. He turned his brown gaze to the other tom and tilted his head to the side slightly. "So how do you want to do this?"

A brow rose as the lad spoke, and after thinking it over for a few moments the feline smiled and mewed," Sure. Why not. But first let's finish this nice hare." Snakewatcher chuckled then quickly took a few more bites, quickly eating her fill. There was still some left for Aldershine, and as she waited for the ginger and white tom to finish she gave her jaws a lick and began to lazily clean her paws and chest.

Once the old tom was once again breathing normally, the lad turned his green gaze to the rabbit in front of him. Leto dragged it closer to him, then took the first bite. He purred softly as the taste flooded his senses, and he curled his tail around his body. He slowly ate his meal, savoring every bite, not yet realizing that he had crossed into Airclan territory.

Swiftstar nodded her head in approval once more. "I believe you will be." She grinned. "You have the potential to do so." She glanced around the camp, making sure there were warriors who would still be available after the dusk patrol left. At the sight of a few free warriors, she turned back to Crowpaw. "Very good." The she-cat's tail twitched. "Report to my den once the patrol has returned. Until then I will be resting." Turning her back to the apprentice, she began to pad towards her den. The leader noticed that she was beginning to tire more easily than she used to. It wasn't anything serious but still became a hindrance at times. She made her way into her nest and curled up inside of it. Her tail and paws dangled off the edges. There she would close her eyes and await the return of the first patrol.

Jaysong's tail flicked casually. His ears perked as Chestnutfur began to speak. "Hm... Is there anywhere, in particular, you want to go?" He glanced at the she-cat. Honestly, he didn't care where they went, as long as he got to be near his mate. At the mention of assigned mates, the tom screwed up his face. "Assigned mates?" He hadn't ever heard of anyone doing that. "That would be terrible!" He padded closer to the she-cat, allowing their pelts to touch. "I'm happy with choosing my own mate."

Graymist began to lick the bottom of her paws. Though she wasn't much of a clean freak, she still enjoyed having a clean pelt. Listening to Aspencloud talk about his desire for an apprentice made her frown. "There is no way you won't be the next cat to receive an apprentice." She chuckled. "Almost all of the other warriors have one. Surely Swiftstar is saving the best for you." The she-cat wiped her paw over her ear. This caused a tickle in her ear. Her ear flicked, attempting to make the itch go away. The gray tabby focused her attention back on Aspencloud as he began to speak. "Oh, Swallowpaw..." She giggled. "I have a sneaky suspicion he has feelings for Sandpaw. Haven't you seen the way he acts around her." Her smile widened. "Young love. It's so sweet."

Silverpaw chuckled. "Yeah... Padding through the whole territory can be kind of tiring sometimes." The tip of her tail twitched contently. Her head tilted. "Did you really touch the water?" Her eyes widened. "It's way too cold to do that!" The she-cat was astonished. "You must be really brave... or mouse-brained." She chuckled once more, increasing the volume of her laugh this time. "There are lots of weird sounds out there." Her mouth began to water as he mentioned birds. "Birds are delicious..."

Silvermist smiled, "Just itching to go!" She chuckled, not wishing to discuss the problems nagging her. Out of the corner of her eye she spotted Robincall, dragging himself across the clearing to the fresh-kill pile. "What is he doing..?" Silvermist mumbled to herself. Isn't he supposed to be resting..?...healing? A nervous feeling ran through her. Her eyes twitched anxiously. Silvermist had never seen her brother like this: wounded and useless. Robincall had always been her big brother, not one to mess with, constantly teasing her about her toms and looking out for her. For the first time, the roles had reversed and she felt a great urge to go over, help him and persuade him to stay in the den. But just as she was about to move, she realised he was easily capable of handling himself. Silvermist watched on from afar, looking fondly at her older sibling.

Robincall felt a sudden burst of anger for everything. He growled. And at the same moment his stomach growled. Then an idea struck him like a flash of lightning.I’ll get my own prey today! Robincall, determination etched across his face, began hauling himself towards the entrance to the den. He felt barely any pain, only a throbbing numbness radiating from his lower leg. His forepaw were doing all the work and after a couple of seconds he had to stop and rest. But Robincall wouldn’t back down and with one almighty push he was back at it again, one useless leg splayed out behind him.

Robincall made it to the fresh-kill pile and with a groan, collapsed in front of it. A wave of pride washed over him, a satisfied grin stuck on his face. As he picked up a warm mouse, Robincall decided he was to do this exercise every day. He was sick and tried of being confined to the medicine cat den feeling worthless. Finally!

Sandpaw waited as Lakepaw marked the border, yawning slightly. Her mind wandered away, not thinking about anything in particular. After a while, a gust of wind whisked her back to reality and she found her eyes resting on Hawkfrost. She sighed, knowing he wouldn't be too happy if she attempted to start a friendly conversation with him. So instead, Sandpaw glanced around at the rest of the cats on patrol, smiling at Swallowpaw. She nudged him playfully, "Look's like you put Hawkfrost in a bad mood!" Sandpaw giggled, her green eyes sparkling.

After a few moments the feline closed her eyes and listened to the world around her. She let the feeling of peace wash over her, and the stress of the day wash away.

Eelpaw shook his head and mewed," No not really. It's just with my leg, it gets hard to get comfortable enough to sleep. And even then it's hard to get a good night's sleep, because of the nightmares I get." He shrugged," But that's normal." The grown and white tom sat down, and curled his tail neatly around his paws. Maybe when Bramblewhisker was done checking him out, he would be ready to go back to his apprentice duties. Well there wouldn't be many duties, as he would most likely just take his assessment and become a warrior. But either way, he was looking forward to what Bramblewhisker would tell him.

As the grey-brown lad finished the last of his meal, he took another look around. Heaving a sigh the tom quickly finished what was left of the rabbit and buried the bones. He heaved himself to his paws then started to walk towards a bush not far away, finding that to would do fine, as far as shelter went.
