My mom went behind my back and got me a dog!
This is Princess, the Purebreed Teacup Chihuahua!
Now I normally dont like purebreeds because of the chance of them being inbred, but i couldent of said no to that face!

Someone is using a prong(2.25mm) with rubber tips on a 3 month old puppy and says it's fine because it has the rubber tips and 'its not a full correction with the rubber tips'.
Thoughts?

In my opinion prong collars should not be used on any dog regardless of age. They are dangerous and unnecessary. Using a device that is meant to cause pain to correct a behavior to me is inhuman and unacceptable.

Just fished a piece of wood out of a spay incision/scar.
Early January our girl Sardonyx got spayed. Right at the week mark she stepped on a stick and managed to stab herself in the incision and popped a stitch. Our vet said we were in the clear and it wouldnt need another stitch put in; the rest of the insicion was pink and sealled.
Fast forward to last night. Routine grooming stuff I noticed a pinhead sized blister on top of her scar and it was central in a raised patch. Got a closer look and touched it, it immedaitely expressed blood and murky fluid. Great, time to call the vet about an infection. Ugh. Cleaned it up, antibioticed it, whatever.
Checked on it today before calling the vet. No blister, the bit of swelling was mostly gone. Not red or warm or anything. Okay... so no infection? Touched it and it was sharp. What the heck. Got a strong light and my glasses. Double what the heck. Thats not supposed to be there! Looked like a tiny splinter. Disinfected it, got a knife (for scrapping! Not cutting!!! Lol, like you would against the grain with a toe splinter), gave it a squeeze from the base to get a better look and..... more than a splinter popped out. I swear she like sighed and melted in relief. Picture in the links not gory but still lol.

I’ve got her in my yard right now I think my neighbor is home, so I might go talk to him about possibly rehoming her if he doesn’t have time or dedication for her.
