fogclan has always been a mellow group of cats, within their history, there have been medicine cats known for having
the wisdom of the stars inside of their minds and leaders who have prevented war with enlightening speeches. instead
of warriors, the clan has always produced diplomats. to them, war has never been the way. fogclan chooses to put all
of their focuses on training their cats to be strategic, clever, quick thinking and level-headed. in summary, the cats in
this clan are pacifists. at least until eight moons ago when a certain chain of events led to the cold-hearted murder of
heronpaw, the medicine cat's apprentice. only a moon after his death, tension is high within the group of cats for they
know an enemy is amongst them. although they are sworn to be peaceful, they are not known for being forgiven, many
of the cats seek justice, but on who? the answer seems to lie with hemlockdream, a queen who's sudden disappearance
over eleven moons ago still weighs down on the minds of many of the cats. something wicked is brewing within fogclan
and it is just a matter of time until dark secrets are revealed. who can you trust in a clan that is raised to be cunning?

with bare-leaf thawing and new-leaf quickly approaching, secrets seem to be springing up like saplings. what began as
a queen disappearing, ended with the murder of the medicine cat's apprentice. a day before his untimely demise, cats
heard him talking about a prophecy involving hemlockdream, a prophecy that had yet to be spoken to the clan. before
he could ever share it someone silenced him forever. what had starclan told the young apprentice that earned him his
death? most importantly, why didn't heronpaw announce his dream to everyone as soon as he received it? something is
happening in fogclan, something suspicious. cats are beginning to grow restless; they want justice for the young cat. if
things continue on the way they are; fogclan might not survive to next bare-leaf, suspicion might destroy the quiet clan.

fogclan is located in a bright and sunny forest. their air always has a fresh quality about it that makes you want to take
in a deep breath. they have a large territory, the north borders a mountain range, to the west is a large lake, the south
is a large meadow and to the east is a wide thunderpath. the real heart of fogclan is in the west instead of being in the
centre of the territory. the clan rarely approach the eastern border, usually, it takes them two days to travel to it and
two more to travel back. in the northwest lays their camp, built inside of a small pit cave. the entrance is underneath
a quaking aspen tree, it is a small hole that two cats can drop through at the same time, falling into a small dark path
that is underground. walking it brings them deeper and deeper underground until the tunnel opens up into a very large
chamber with a tall ceiling. natural light pours in through small holes but the cave is nearly always dark. the dens are
located in crevasses on the cave wall. on the right arch is the warrior and apprentice den, on the left is the elders' den,
the medicine cats den and in the far left is the nursery. on the opposite side of the entrance is the leader's den. at the
centre of the camp is a medium sized tower where the clan usually gathers, beside it is the fresh-kill pile.

fogclan has a lot of traditions and beliefs that they follow. one such belief is that if they whisper their problems into a
dandelion when it becomes white and blow it away afterwards, starclan will hear their problems and give an answer in
their dreams. another tradition for apprentices is to see how deep into lion bite a cat can walk; the deeper the braver
but so far no cat has gotten too deep. lion bite is a large cave in the northern part of the territory. the entrance of it
has large stalactites framing it like teeth; hence the reason the cave is called lion bite. mentors and the older warriors
of the group believe that the tradition is foolish and childish but they have never stopped a group of apprentices from
travelling to it and testing which one is the bravest. another tradition that the youngsters have is seeking and bringing
back a nighthawk feather. these birds only come out at sun-down or moon-high and are incredibly rare to find and see
in the forest. very few cats have been able to track these birds down and it is believed that the cats who do find these
feathers are fated to become wise and incredible leaders in fogclan. in the past one-hundred moons no cat has found it.
