The brutes nose moved back to an angry snarl the trail was of a cougar but her knew better than to proceed without the rest of the pack. Swiftly he went off and marked the nearby area of the packs territory, it would be the cats only warning. But the brute had other topics on his mind, Magnesium's trail was cold there was no site of his sister, her scent washed away from the elements. She was a sickly wolf often depending on her family for survival. It was a depressing news to the charcoal male, sure he still had Blaise but Maggie was his only litter-mate.

Brownie sneezed as the rain began. Sadly, it wasn't enough to wash out the smell of bear. She growled quietly, but didn't pursue the scent. What would be the point, with Musk still resting? She continued marking the borders instead, hoping that the bear would be frightened away by the presence of her pack.

of pups had come up several times before but it was never made serious. Blaise looked over at Titan her full attention was on her mate, she pondered for a moment clearly by the thought of pups. "Yes that would be lovely, i'm just imaging are pups frolicking around in the meadow." Moondust Pack

As the two approach the new wolf, they hold their tails high and keep their eyes trained on him. He lowers his head slightly. "I've been pushed out of my old pack for the newer generation. I have no where to go," the lone wolf states. Chandra and Pewter share a short look. "You can join us," the female alpha states. "We'll expect you to pull your weight, but you can stay as long as you'd like." Pewter lowers his tail, ears raising in turn. "What's your name?" The strange wolf straightens up. "I'm Draug." Pewter offers a smile. "Welcome to the pack, Draug." The pack trots back to the winter den, and the two young alphas discuss having their first pups. Excitement muddles with the snow in the air.

"Titan... I think i'm pregnant" The darkened female stuttered excitedly revealing the root cause of her current aliment. "What...oh my Blaise this is amazing!" the alpha brute screamed to the high heavens running circles around his equally excited partner. Phosphorus looked over at his excited alphas, he was just as excited as they were he hadn't seen any other pups than himself. "Guys we might as well call ourselves the Blazing Alpines seeing how fast you are running" the brute laughed running after the others joining in on the horse play.

A little while later the pack was resting along the grasses near the den site looking up at the stars. "So I heard something about Blazing Alpines it certainly sounds better than the Charred Alpines if I say so myself" Phosphorus muttered quietly looking up at the others remembering the series of play fights that took place earlier. "Hmm I like it" Titan responded looking over at his brother in law. "It does sound nicer Blazing has a nice touch to it" the darkened female snorted with a laugh looking over at the males of her pack.

xxxxStony Point is a pack or colony formed by two wolves: An alpha female, Solveig, and an alpha male,
Maitiu. They are residents of Mount Stony, an inactive volcano that hasn't erupted for the past hundreds
of thousands of years. Where they live is presumably safe as Mount Stony never seems to do much excep
t sit there and look pretty. Even though the volcano is safe to be around, Stony Point still prefers to kee
p a bit of distance from it as they've set up their base far from it. Speaking of base, their territory is ab
out 80% of trees which cover the whole land where they reside, and the other 20% is just free land for e
asier traveling. Two small tributaries flow through their territory, giving them a water source. Those two
tributaries do flow into a much larger river, but it is far out of their territory.

xxxxThe wolves of Stony Point are rather solitary than most wolf packs. They are quiet, unsocial and hig
hly suspicious of other wolves. Their trust is not to be earned easily as they are much smarter than what
others might think. They are ones to stay in their territory and not wander out aimlessly, they would onl
y do that if there was something going about. Even though they are highly reserved, they will go out of t
heir way to attack unfamiliar wolves or if they see something they don't like.

xxxxWolves of Stony Point come in a large variety, from large built wolves with a lot of bulk to smaller bu
ilt wolves with lean muscles. Their coats are either thick or wispy, though the weather where they live is
n't too bad with cold winters and mild summers. As for coat color, most of them are a dark grey to light g
rey or creamy color, but the occasional black coat can be seen as well. Most wolves have long lean legs a
nd are taller than average, because of this, they can reach higher speeds and take down prey in quick spr
ints.

xxxxSeveral traditions are active in Stony Point. One is when an adolescent wolf is becoming a subordinate
for the first time ever; the adolescent wolf or wolves are sent out to bring down a large ram with the obse
rvance of one of the alphas and their mentor, if there is a group of adolescents, siblings you can say, that a
re all taking their assessment at the same time - they are only allowed to hunt one ram as it would be mor
e difficult to take two down. If the adolescent passes their assessment, they are allowed to scratch the st
one wall of the alphas' den, signifying that they've become a subordinate. (other traditions will be explain
ed once i make an archive for this)

forming in the pits of their stomachs. could this be it? they both wondered. it didn't seem like it at first, but it was. their home.
