Sundapple sat outside of the warrior’s den, longing for some company. She was awfully lonesome as she sat. Perhaps I could join along on a patrol... if there even is one, that is. She thought. She glanced across the clearing as Badgerpaw arrived into camp, carrying a couple of mice between his jaws. The warrior was impressed with how well the apprentices were hunting. Not just Badgerpaw, but the others as well. It took her back to her days as an apprentice. Oh, how she remembered how mischievous she could be at times.

Sundapple’s memories of being an apprentice were soon interrupted as she was approached by Striketail. “Oh, I am fine, and you?” she replied back with, watching as her son added his prey to the pile of fresh-kill. I am so proud of him... He might of only been an apprentice for a moon now, but to me, he is no different than a warrior.

Spiderkit bounded over to Badgerpaw, his former denmate. 'Badgerpaw!' he chirruped, excited. 'Hello!' the kit was bored - completely and fully - so hopefully talking to Badgerpaw would help!

Badgerpaw turned around from the fresh-kill pile to meet Spiderkit’s greeting. “Hey Spiderkit, how are you? Do you miss me in the nursery?” he asked, a bit of a tease to his tone. “Don’t worry - you’ll move into the apprentice’s den eventually. For now, just enjoy your days chasing moths around camp.” he added with a chuckle following after.

Spiderkit stuck his tongue out. “It’s so boring chasing moths!” He complained. “At least you made conversation with me. All the adults do is talk about boring things.” But, at the prospect of being in the apprentices den, his eyes lit up. “Is it fun being an apprentice? Ooh, do you get to stay up all night and talk? What’s hunting like?”
