Roleplay Thread

This is where you may discuss and post character forms of the romance wolf roleplay, Matchmaker! Before you create a character, please review everything below and make sure there is still a slot open for the rank you want your character to be!

Please note that this roleplay is not accepting any pups, elders, or loners at this time.

Rules for Creating a Character

No Mary-Sues or Gary-Stus. All character have flaws.
No unrealistic coat colours, coat patterns, or eye colours. Please note that blue eyes are NOT naturally occurring in wolves! They only come through crossbreeding with dogs. For this reason, no wolves in this roleplay may have blue eyes.
Crushes are encouraged, even if they're "forbidden", according to the pack's rules.
All "chosen" wolves must be attracted to the opposite gender for ease of pairing mates up. This does not mean they have to be straight.
You don't have to make the form fancy (I sure don't make mine fancy!), but you need to include the basic info. (Name, age, gender, rank, personality, kin (if a subordinate), crush)
1 chosen wolf, 1 high rank, and 2 subordinates per player.
The more detailed the character, the better!

Is Your Character a Subordinate? (Hunter, soldier, yearling)
If so, your character must be descended from someone in the pack who passed away due to the infamous disease. You can either make up a character that they descended from or make your character descend from one of the pairs below! (This is an easy way to create a family of siblings with other roleplayers)

1. Alpha Ophyr and Alpha Phoebe - Preceded Alpha Machi. Both passed away in the disease.

2. Beta Pascal and Beta Rhea - Beta Pascal was killed by a bear a year before the disease outbreak, Beta Rhea died from the disease.

3. Hunter Gino and Daffodil - The lead hunter and his mate both died in the disease outbreak.

4. Link and Colonel Maria - The colonel died in the disease outbreak, her mate bled to death after a vicious fight with a rogue pack of wolves. He did not live to meet his pups.

So You Want Your Wolf to Have a High Rank?
Not a problem! The high ranks will be obtainable by all adult subordinates (aka hunters and soldiers). But you're going to have to compete for it, first! I'm selecting these characters a little into the roleplay to see what roleplayers are fit for the job and, more importantly, what characters would fill these roles well. Please read below if you're interested in a specific rank!

Want to be Alpha Female?
Alpha Machi is looking for a mate! If you'd like your character to become his mate, therefore becoming alpha female, simply make your character pursue a romantic interest in him. Here's a hint to winning his heart: Machi is very attracted to outspoken wolves that aren't afraid to take leadership when things are shaky.

Want to be a Beta?
Being Beta is about being both a leader and a good friend to Machi. If you want this role, you have to ensure two things: ONE- your wolf is capable of leading and is respected by the other members of the pack. TWO- Your wolf is close to Machi. This is of greater importance to Alpha Machi than the first. Here's a hint: Machi likes to become friends with wolves that are wise and good at offering advice.

Want to be the Lead Hunter/Huntress?
Then it's time you start hauling home the prey! Machi isn't looking for someone who is a "leader", despite what the title suggests. Rather, Alpha Machi is looking for someone that will be able to lead simply by setting an example. If you show that your wolf is not only talented at hunting, but committed and passionate, you will likely be offered the role. Please keep in mind that powerplaying by making your wolf hunt thousands of elk a day (just as an example) is not going to get you lead hunter. I'm looking for a roleplayer that can portray a skilled character in a humble and realistic way.

Want to be the Colonel?
Read above, but then translate that into battling terms. What Machi is looking for is a skilled fighter who brings a deeper understanding of battling and time management than the average soldier. If you can portray a talented character in a sophisticated and down-to-earth manner, this role will be all yours.

Ottavio, bearing no nickname of the sorts, is a dark, sooty
color with blonde tints around his neck, shoulder line, sto
mach, and underneath his tail. Paired with two piercing y
ellow eyes, and an attractive grin, Ottavio is a handsome
young wolf. His body is pure bulk, with a few scars to tell
the tales of the past, a past he may be willing to share.

▬▬▬（ＳＨＥＣＡＮ＇ＴＧＥＴ） ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

Born from a frail mother who could not fend for herself in the wild, wild world, this wolf learned fa
st how to fend for himself and those that he cared for. Ottavio and his brothers,including one tiny s
ister, were born February 9th on a cool morning. First came him, and his siblings followed suit. Five
of them in total. The hardship of birthing her pups and providing milk for them took a toll on their
mother. But without their mother, who would keep them alive? Luckily, a lone female found Ottavio
and his sickly mother. Although Ottavio never knew his mother, as she died shortly after, he knew s
he tried her best to keep them alive, and she did a great job considering her own condition. The lo
ne female was named Atani, and she took in the pups once their mother passed. Although the fema
le could have easily left the pups to die, she had a kind heart and a motherly aspect to her. She co
uldn't possibly let the helpless pups go on their own. Like the caring mother she was, Atani raised t
he pups from their weak stage, till they were bouncing balls of fur, bounding in and out of the brus
h around their den. It was as if they were her pups, and she was their mother. She had become the
ir real mother at that point. Time went on, and just as pups grow so fast, they were already young
adults ready to leave the nest. Their mother taught them the necessities, and a few extra tips that
would later help them out, and now it was their time to go out into the world. First went their small
er sister, and then his brothers. Ottavio, the largest of his siblings, had the heart of his adoptive
mother. He was too guilty of leaving Atani, and felt it was his duty to take care of her. But she ins
isted for him to leave and explore the wilderness like his brothers and sister. After enough insistin
g and pushing from his mother, he finally budged and left with a warm goodbye and a solemn wav
e of his tail. As time went on, Ottavio found himself living close to the pack of wolves. He thoug
ht of trying out his luck on joining, but he never went through. He was too busy adventuring and
hunting on his free time. But, the thought of joining a pack forever lingered in his mind, and that
was why it was an easy yes when the Alpha of a pack confronted him and nearly begged for him to
join their slowly dying pack. He agreed to the choosing of the mates, and saw this new opportuni
ty as a brand new adventure that he can't wait to embark.

Harmony, a quiet but kind female, is smal

away from her feminimity, though, and sh
e is still a very beautiful wolf. Her eyes ar
e a pale yellow, and catch the sun to crea
te a more polished, amber color. Catch he

t's almost impossibly to turn away.

Laurel has always held a hardworking aspect to her,
even after she had fled her pack she still believed
she couldn't just slack off. She seems to still be
trying to prove that she can handle what's out there,
regardless of her parents bad decisions. Because of
this past, Laurel seems to hold a more understanding
nature to the pairings that go on, knowing that they
stop the kind of things that happened with her parents.
However, she does hold a resilience to it all the same.
Laurel can be a compassionate wolf to those she trusts
deeply, though also guarded around strangers, often
very mysterious and hiding her emotions behind a
veil. If you gain her loyalty, then you gain her friendship
and cunning intelligence.

Laurel, is what many call this one. Others call her a thieve, a rotten wolf who deserves only to depart from this world. Indeed, she has earned a heavy spot of hatred to grow inside many wolves, the loathing some have practically unbearable to many who learn about it. Except Laurel. She has become immune to the malicious words that many try to shoot at her, creating a barrier around herself from such things. There are reasons for these hurtful comments, though Laurel does not tend to speak about it.
She was the creation of a omega and a loner, something her old pack frowned upon with great evil. They believed that the offspring deserved to be killed, though her omega mother pleaded to take her life instead. They did so willingly, though also killed off two of the weakest of the five pups in her litter. It was then that she knew she had to prove her worth, to show her determination and intelligence. Though it failed, the wolves never seemed to look past the label that they shoved upon her. A when she took rise against it, the pack punished her and her siblings. One was killed, and Laurel was given a nick on her left ear. She ran off, eventually stumbling across this pack.

Just like the parents before her, Everest is a loyal wolf who isn't afraid to stand up and take charge when needed. Of course, this doesn't mean that she will go out of her way to shove her alpha aside to do so, infact, she quite respects them. Loyalty is key to Everest, she believes that to have a strong pack strong loyalties must be set in. This fae is compassionate, often putting others above herself and being quite selfless. She is defensive of her loved ones and herself, and if you cross to many boundaries than your bound to get a snap from her. She'll defend her pack with ruthless nature if needed, though usually remains calm.
