Splitting VR into two rarities would help people make informed trading choices based on rarity, if they then wanted to overpay based on demand it would be their choice.
Anyone's welcome to start their own suggestion thread to suggest more rarities but no other rarity has the trading problems that VR has so in my opinion it's VR that needs to be split. Honestly if the range currently is VR is 1 pet per 80 - 1000 users that's such a huge range compared to the other rarities that I could see an argument for it being split into more than just two rarities but I'd be happy with one extra.
Amen to everything you said in that post rascal, but especially to these bold points I made.
It’s insanely hard to tell which very rare is ‘rarer’ because it’s just so HUGE. Usually we go by dates, but the rarity archive shows that some pets that aren’t as old are more rare than ones that are, correct?
The whole thing we need to get back into this CS economy is people using their own minds and decisions, which another rarity could immensely help. Then they see, oh this pet is actually rarer than this one.
Another thing the rarity list will fix is the completely messed up idea that a very rare is worth more than an OMGSR, which still irks me to no end about the rares list, and another rarity would further help that by saying ‘no. That very rare is actually this next rarity, extra rare or whatever, and is worth more than this very rare.’
I also would totally be down with two rarities in between very rare and OMGSR, what with the difference being 8o to 1ooo.
I mean just look at this chart again.

OMG so rare! (less than 1 pet per 1000 users)
Very rare (less than 1 pet per 80 users)
Rare (less than 1 pet per 25 users)
Uncommon (less than 1 pet per 5.5 users)
Common (less than 1 pet per 3 users)
Very common (more than 1 pet per 3 users)
Per 3. Per 5. 25. 8o. A few jumps but nothing that big. Then 1ooo. The jump from 25 to 8o is tolerable. But then 8o to 1ooo??
