Out of your guys opinions, how do Oppies nails look?





They don’t click when he walks and they don’t touch the ground that i’ve noticed.

But still would like to hear opinions!

They look good! There’s definitely room to make them shorter, and I think you could work on getting them down a bit more, but not bad at all! Do you clip or use a dremel?

I remember when I just bought my silky puppy, hes now sleeping on my leg and whines when I step one foot out of the living room

He also likes to sleep on my lap :")

Any suggestions on what I should train my silky in? I feel like hunting would be his part because he likes to bring "surprises" to me c:

Hi friends!!

Just checking in to see if anyone else has a dog with kidney issues? Mine has been diagnosed with Renal Tubule Acidosis and it's pretty hard to know her kidneys are slowly starting to go.

Have you had dogs before? What breeds?: Yes. I currently have a lab x pit (we think), and a German Shep x heeler (again with think)
Are there any breeds that have already caught your eye? If so, why?: Corgi, I've seen they can be really good dogs when trained, and then Bernese Mtn Dog, they are big gentle giants (the ones I have met.)
How much time a day do you have to devote to training your dog?: I kind of continually train my dog, make them sit for dinner, etc, but for a new puppy and such, I'd be willing to put in as much time for training as necessary.
What kind of grooming needs are you prepared to handle?: Any grooming needs are fine. If the dog needs to be taken to the groomer, then I will do so.
What kind of energy level are you looking for?: I'd like something that can be active, but also doesn't mind being in the house for a few hours either. I work at a vet clinic, so sometimes I'd be able to take the dog with me.
What do you plan on doing with your dog?: Dog would mostly be a companion for me, I'm not looking to show, or train to do certain things. I would love to do agility and obedience work just for fun though.
What size dog are you wanting?: Any size is fine with me
What age dog are you looking for?: Any age is fine.
What kind of livestyle do you live? : I'm definitely not a couch potato, but I'm not super active either. I take my dogs on walks when it is nice out, and play with them when we're stuck inside.

Sardonyx is a very talented dog. She managed to step on a stick, it flip up and stab her in the spay incision and pop a stitch. HOW?! Vet said a popped stitch past day 7 is fine as it should be sealled to near-about sealled but c'mon. Also, silly, but our new vets stitch work is so nice! Its so neat, tidy, and even. No bruising or weird puckering. Ahh <3 I dont think she will have a scar (not that it really matter though). Ive seen some barbaric stitch work and bruising from vets that didnt take their time and were way to rough.

Ah, the special gift to wound themselves in the weirdest, most inconvenient ways, lol. I'm glad she's healing well!

If he fetches flyball might be an option as well. You could also try barn hunt. I'd start with basic obedience regardless though.

We're thinking of maybe adopting a dog or a cat sometime in the coming years, so thought I'd fill this out ^^

We currently own a five month old golden retriever! He's very active and a quick learner. He's very friendly to family, friends, strangers, and other animals, but he can get over-excited around other dogs. We're working on calming him down, but in the meantime his enthusiasm can be off-putting or intimidating to other dogs.
Are there any breeds that have already caught your eye? If so, why?
I love love love huskies and collies (especially border collies), but they're probably too high maintenance for us to support. I'm also a fan of hunting dogs in general. I'd prefer a dog that was fairly active, not too difficult to train, and at least somewhat affectionate. I also have a six year old sister, so that would have to be taken into account.
How much time a day do you have to devote to training your dog?
At the very least an hour and at most the entire day.
What kind of grooming needs are you prepared to handle?
I'd prefer a dog with a short or medium coat.
What kind of energy level are you looking for?
A fairly active dog would be nice. I can't go on 2 hour long walks every day, but I wouldn't want a completely sedentary dog either. With Charlie, we generally take a 30 minute walk in the morning, a 1-2 hour long walk in the afternoon, and then a 45 minute walk after dinner (as well as plenty of yard time). We also go hiking during the weekends sometimes.
What do you plan on doing with your dog?
For now I'd just prefer a companion dog. We might start agility or flyball training with Charlie in the future, but for now we don't really have the time to take up a sport.
What size dog are you wanting?
Medium would be the ideal size. I wouldn't really want to own a small dog, but it'd be difficult to support a larger dog
What age dog are you looking for?
Anywhere from a puppy to a young adult (2-3 years old).
What kind of lifestyle do you live?
We're fairly active as a family, and our golden gets more than enough exercise. We live in a two story suburban house with a fenced backyard (about six feet high) and plenty of parks nearby. It snows lightly 5-6 times a year and averages around 85-90°F in the summer.

Any help would be appreciated! <3

Mmm So my mom has realized that the kibble we're feeding isn't meeting all of Thor and Lilly's nutritional needs and will be getting them berries, yogurt, and other fruit and veggies to add to their dinners next paycheck.
