a virus broke out, hitting domesticated do
gs, and then traveling to the wolves not s
oon after. the virus killed hundreds of dog
s and wolves in a mere 2 months. the pack
fled to the mountains, taking on the name
the pack of desolate peaks.

decided on severity, usually the punishment is exile. v. th
e heir is always chosen as the firstborn son or daughter of
the pack. the other pups will be trained as hunters or figh
ters, but will still be respected as the daughters/sons of t
he alpha. vi. pack members are not to interact with huma
ns, they are cruel, violent beings and will not be tolerated
as 'friends'. vii. the wolfdog 'pack' are to be left alone, the

alpha's mate. the wolf chosen by the alpha to be their mate.
the heir. the eldest out of the alpha pair's pups. will grow up
to become alpha if they pass a trial of courage.
beta. the second in command. in the absence of the alpha th
ey take responsibility.
beta's mate. the wolf chosen by the beta to be their mate.
star-speaker. a wolf with a strong connection to Desolate Pe
ak's ancestors. they receive visions and omens from the stars
and are highly respected.
lead healer. the most experienced wolf out of the healers. t
hey mentor the healer trainee and often times are first called
to an emergency.
healer. experienced with herbs and treating wounds.
healer trainee. a pup learning to become healer. usually 8 m
onths of age.
lead fighter. the wolf that leads the fighters into battle. they
also decide when border patrols are sent out (usually morning
then before the pack sleeps).
lead hunter. the wolf that leads the hunts and decides when
hunting patrols are sent out(usually dawn and they return in t
he early afternoon).
fighters. the wolves that are most experienced with fighting.
they are the ones to go into battle if needed, and they also gu
ard camp and the alphas.
hunters. the wolves that are most experienced with hunting.
they are responsible for getting prey.
trainees. pups that are training to be fighters or hunters. us
ually 8 months of age.
mothers. female wolves that are going to have pups, or are c
urrently nursing.
pups. self explanatory.
wisests. the elders of the pack, usually 10 years or older. resp
ected due to their knowledge.
omegas. least respected in the pack, meaning they eat last.

loners/rogues. wolves that choose to live alone, or have been
exiled from Desolate Peaks.

wolfdogs. the despised offspring of Desolate Peaks wolves and
dogs that were born in secret.
