nadia cursed softly, wiping her dirt-stained hands on her jeans. she takes a step back and finally looks at the finished project, the ridiculously large cabin and the garden she just built. from her own hands, no magic involved. take that, universe. she thinks smugly, walking to the front door and sitting on the steps. she takes a drink of her water, cooling her thirst, and ties her hair in a messy bun.

it's tradition for the women in her old coven to strike out when they turn twenty-two, and if she's honest with herself, she's deathly afraid of messing up. hence the procrastination by building a home - from the ground up. but the house is finally finished after eight months, and there are no more excuses. she knows that she has to perform the ritual for her first member now, before she turns twenty-three, or else it won't take and she'll be stranded by her lonesome forever. doesn't seem appealing.

she spares a second to daydream about what they'll be like, then starts on preparing the ritual. anxiety and excitement mix together in her stomach, her hands shake as she opens the door into her new home.

The Garden is (or will be) one of the grandest fairy only covens. Though their coven is only limited to
one species, they do get along well with nymphs and sirens. They absolutely cannot stand vampires,
and only really tolerate the rest. Don't get fooled by their looks or height - the fae can be very tricky.
They're mischievous creatures by nature, and often fool around. There are some hardworking fairies
which earn leadership positions, such as Coven Leader and Second in Command. It's sort of a miracle
that they've managed to build small but comfy homes inside of a large tree. The tree is enchanted so
that it will stay like that all year long, no matter the weather, and is surrounded by a forest that has
many unique fruits and crops growing (others have tried to tame the land), such as pumpkin, melon,
apples, oranges, and pears. There are some deer, buck, and elk roaming the area. North of the tree
lies a river which normally contains small fish, but rarely any big fish. Jackalopes are the common
companion, but there may be some griffins around, which only truly determined fairies can tame.

"Why did I think I was ready for this kind of responsibility?" moaned Tobias. "This was stupid of me. Did I seriously think I could create a successful coven?"

Fritz, his salamander familiar who was currently sitting on his shoulder, flicked out his tongue. "Well, what's done is what's done. You wanted to start a coven? Go do it. You won't gain confidence without experience."

"I know, I know," muttered Tobias as he knelt to prepare the ritual. "Who do you think I should try and attract first?"[/color]

"Shaman. I don't want you to get your fool neck broken."

"Shaman is is." Tobias stood and raised his arms, beginning the chant. Memorizing all the spells had been complicated (and in all honesty, he was better at researching spells than performing them), but a summoning spell he could do.

Deep Marine is a coven that resides near the ocean. Their camp is ontop of a large cliff, and a tunnel leads down to the ocean.
For mermaids and mermen they can live in a big pool of water that leads out to the ocean, and a few rivers lead into the ocean as well. The cliff is a forest biome that stretches far and wide. Main food sources come from the ocean, though some hunters will hunt in the forest area.

james waits on the porch steps, a cigarette unlit in his hands as he fiddles with it. he's waiting for his new...leader, which somehow makes everything worse. just because he's a wizard doesn't mean he wants to be dragged into a coven, and he already knows his rank.

gatherer, which isn't honestly that bad. his old coven had him as a mage - but he cuts himself off at that thought.

"no use gettin' all worked up, james." he tells himself, putting the cigarette in between his lips and lighting it with a touch of his finger. and of course thats the moment his new coven founder comes running.

"oh my gosh, are you smoking?!" she shrieks, and he rolls his eyes.

"sweetheart, if i'm gonna be a part of this coven, i'm gonna smoke." he snarks, leaning back onto the steps and closing his eyes. christ, but he needs a nap. this girl is too high-strung, and he can already tell they won't get along.

"oh - you're my new gatherer! well, pleased to meet you! i'm nadia venamorth." she beams at him, and he scowls in return.

"james." he replies shortly, blowing smoke out of his mouth. her face twists a little in confusion, and he sighs.

"look nadeen-"

"nadia."

"thats nice. look, nina, i don't really wanna be here. you don't want me to be here. but we're stuck with each other, so how about you just mosey on and do your thing, and i'll do mine. sound fair?"

the girl, what was her name, natasha maybe? flushes a bright red and snaps out, "fine!" and walks past him to enter the cabin, slamming the door behind her.

james lets his head hit the back of the porch and closes his eyes again, letting out a huff.

"this is gonna be fun."
